I am 28 years old. i have an intermittent exotropia since childhood. i am planning to go for strabismus surgery in next month. i dont have double vision . but when doctor examined my eyes by prism testing i experienced double vision. except during this test i havnt experieneced double vision in my life. docter has advised me surgery in both eyes and he told me that getting double vision after surgery in my case is very rare.

Anyway my question is has anyone had a surgery other than the nissen fundo to repair the hernia. I am interested in having mine fixed but do NOT want my stomach wrapped around my esophagus. I'd like for a surgeon to just go in and pull the stomach to its proper position and sew up the hole in the diaphram essentially returning everything to its natural order.

My original scar has not been visible for a long time but all of a sudden the scar has reappeared and seems more pink than normal where the new hernia is. Any cause for concern? I see a surgeon at the chiari institute in new york. I have gone to every local doctor but because new york did my most recent surgery no one will even consult with me. My insurance said it is out of state therefore I will be responsible for bills or back bills if they do cover part. Is this legal given the fact that I have been refused to even meet with doctors under the plan? There are no other options for me but to go out of state for help.
