Avatar f tn It might be an inguinal hernia, with referred pain into your groin and scrotum. Seems unlikely to be an infection if your testicle has been removed? A lump could be a cyst? Perhaps an ultrasound could verify what the lump is?
4706518 tn?1358198536 The common causes of post operative pain are visceral pain, neuropathic pain and somatic pain. Mesh placement usually negatively impacts the genital branch of the genito-femoral nerve. Femoral nerve injury involving either the motor, sensory, or both functions may have been negatively impacted. The mesh shrinks excessively, scars and retracts away from the host tissue. In such cases mesh removal and venorrhaphy may be necessary to appropriately treat the patient.
1580703 tn?1651904887 The doctor examined me and found a groin hernia and I'm scheduled for surgery in sept. I think I want laproscopic but am I going to end up with permanent pain? will the mesh or non-tension method fail to stop the hernia from progressing? I think it's from the gym or coughing from this tracheotomy I'm getting this crippling nausea sometimes and sometimes protonix helps. is it from the hernia or diabetes or GERD? thanks!
Avatar n tn Possibly not. But soft tissue injuies in back region can lead to groin pain, which means they are related.
Avatar f tn Also gave me spermatic cord denervation I am post nine weeks out from surgery and there is no more burning sensation, but I have a stabbing right testicle pain and when I stretch or bend over my groin becomes inflamed I am going to get a full panel for STDs. Avatar m tn I have BPH (an enlarged prostrate) ,and I have recently discovered after a back injury that I have a herniated disc at L4,L5 and a small inguinal hernia on the left side.I suffer pain in my lower abdomin and testicals. The testicular pain is constant and a dull pain that can get worse if I exercise ,play tennis, golf etc.I don't know if the testicular pain is coming from my back herniated disc or from the hernia.
Avatar n tn I know have continuous groin pain on the right side and occasional groin pain on the left. The right side pain worsen after long walks, climbing stairs, and after sex. The highten pain lasts for 2 -3 days and then lessen to a dull pain. The pain also travels down to the penis and scrotum and also a few inches down the inner thigh and also up into the abdomin. The doctor that performed the operation is no help. He believes the operation was a success. Other doctors have no idea of what to do.
Avatar m tn After his surgery the pain got worse. Since 2017 he is having this pain on and off. Now, 2021 the pain is extreme and frequent it's daily at a level 9. He describes the pain likes pins and needles. He is having the pain in bilateral - groining area- femoral area as well. His belly gets swollen and his veins gets dilated. He doesn't have pain any elsewhere.
Avatar m tn I am 28 years old with what is likely a sports hernia. There is no noticeable bulge or hernia, and the pain has become unbearable and will confine me to a bed for a week or two at a time. The pain originally manifested in my testicles, but recently I feel pressure in my groin area, resulting in a pinched feeling in my femoral nerves. I've consulted both Dr. Krischkan in Ohio and Dr. Petersen in Nevada, and both do a modified Shouldice (i.e., 2 layers vs. the traditional 4). Dr.
Avatar m tn ve had a hydrocele surgery at the age of six, left side inguinal hernia surgery at the age of 10, and a right side inguinal hernia surgery at the age of 24. My right testicle have been attached closer to my body since my hydrocele surgery and I can clearly remember how uncomfortable it felt to have such an abnormal position of your testicle. After 20 years, I still feel some discomforting pains (on my right testicle) when exercising.
Avatar m tn Well, I went in a little over a month ago to get a pain I had been having in my lower left abdomen with groin pain after running/exercising checked out. The doctor did a hernia check on both sides, to be safe, and found one on the right and not on the left. He said to come in after a month if the pain didnt go away on the left. Well its been about that time and the pain has become more of a problem. It became worse after playing a couple long games of basketball about 2 weeks ago.
Avatar m tn I fear that I may have tugged too hard on the shaft skin using the device. Slowly I started to develop a pain in my upper groin (seems to mostly come from slightly above the testicles). It is mostly on the left side, but occasionally also on the right. It is usually a dull type of pain. I stopped tugging, but a year later the pain is still present (although not as bad). I went to the doctor, and they thought a possible hernia.
Avatar f tn My new pain mgmt. doc recommended a plastic surgeon to do this neurectomy surgery. He says he has had good results with his chronic pain patients. Can you give me any insight to this procedure? Thanks!
Avatar f tn 24M. I have been having a strange pain in my groin now for around 2 weeks. I was taking Nexium for Gerd and then started on omneprozal. Around 3 weeks ago I had a bump come up on my right groin that I thought to be a hernia. It was about the size of my pinky finger and was tender to the touch. I took it easy for a few days and it went away. Then I started to feel the pain on both sides near the tendons and ligaments.
Avatar m tn The cord or whatever it is that is connected to the testicle seems to be a little thicker than the one on the left. There is a little pain in my testicle and a little pain in my groin area. I am a little worried.
Avatar n tn i have intense pain in my groin area left lower quadrant and my family doctor examined me and said i had a illiloingel hernia and it started to get worse 2 weeks later so i went back to my family doctor and he checked me again and said it looks like you have a illiongel hernia again and he sent to the surgeon when i went there he checked me quick and said i see a bulge but im going to send you for catscan so i went for the catscan without contrast took 5 minutes and it said i didnt have a herni
Avatar m tn Three weeks after having a laparoscopic appendectomy I noticed some swelling and tenderness in my left groin. There was no bulge, but I told my doctor it felt like a hernia. He gave me an exam and told me that it was a small inguinal hernia. I scheduled the surgery to have it repaired, but while waiting to have that done I would occasionally have this discomfort on the upper-left side of my scrotum.
Avatar m tn Original symptoms include dull pain in the upper right groin (in pubic hair region) and soreness on the right side of my scrotum and right testicle. It reached the point where my right testicle was continuously raising in and out of the groin (when bending over or lifiting) and then a sharp pain shot through my lower abdomen/right groin (below my belly button). Since this originally occurred at work, I went to our designated work clinic.
Avatar m tn Come to find out, I did have a ingual (SP?) hernia. Surgery/recovery was a breeze. It definately helped get rid of that pain. Now if I could only get rid of the adbominal pain.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was sent to get the ultrasound done because I had little bit of pain in my groin area. My doctor is away on vacation so I can't see him for a while.I'm anxious to hear what my results mean. Can someone tell me if this is something serious? Here are the results: INGUINAL ULTRASOUND a hernia measuring 2.6cm x 1.2cm in diameter is present in the left inguinal region. The hernia contains omental fat. The hernia does not extend into the left scrotal sac. No other abnormality is noted.
Avatar f tn 10 years ago I had inguenal hernia surgery. For the past 7 years i have been having tightness and pain in that area. I have also been experiensing pain in my periformis and SI joint. I do have issues with internal scar tissues froma mastectomy and i know how damaging it can be fro surounding tissue. Can my problem with my periformus and SI be from internal scar tissue from my hernia surgery!!!! Please,if anyone has any information on this i would love to hear from you.
Avatar f tn So I noticed sharp groin pain during ejaculation that Goes away right after. However, this pain as morphed into a dull ache through the day. Still extremely sharp during ejaculation and holding in urine. My GP ordered an MRI that showed “an extensive anterosuperior labrum tear”. I saw an orthopedic surgeon who didn’t think my symptoms matched a labrum tear but probably sports hernia. I had another MRI that showed I did not have sports hernia.
Avatar f tn I've heard sometimes the hernia repair fails or causes groin pain so I'm not rushing to surgery.
Avatar n tn Six days after the procedure, I started to get very strong groin pain on the left side of my groin. The pain often radiates up the left side of my penis and into the head sometimes and also radiates down the inner portion of my left thigh. There seems to be some sensitivity in the testicle as well. The overall pain is much worse when I am sitting than when I am lying down or walking. It does seem like bending or activity will make it worse later.
1316053 tn?1279509497 I am in a great deal of pain. (Bowel - I have IBS, near ovary, gland pain, pain into groin, leg and hip, and around to back - I also have sciatica on that side) But the main thing that is worrying me are these glands. This is where alot of my pain comes from......I am wondering if it could be due to whatever is going on inside...
Avatar f tn Ok, not trying to alarm you, but I had that happen and it turned out to be a dvt...a blood clot. you may want to go to the er and have it checked. if it is a clot its nothing to play with, but if its not atleast youll have peace of mind.
Avatar m tn (back pain, testicle pain, groin pain, what seems like butt muscle pain especially when you sit for a while, bend over, or warm up before the game, all associated with the same side of the body usually), let me guess, when you play soccer/football you are right footed : ) ? my advise see a hernia specialist as soon as possible because it could get serious....
Avatar f tn Hello, I used to have extreme pain in the left lower abdomen area (groin area), which was the result of a hernia. I had surgery in July and that took all the pain away. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the same exact pain came back. For the past few days, Ive had extreme sharp pain in the same area. I went to the surgeon who fixed my hernia, and she proclaimed that "there is no way the pain is from the hernia".
