Avatar f tn I had a Hernia op in May 2014 and now I have a dubbed hernia and I have pus coming out my belly button and my stomach is very swollen I did go to the clinic and they said it is okay but it is getting worse can some on please help me is it normal
Avatar f tn The doctors thought it was a hernia, but i had a hernia repair surgery only to find out there was no hernia. When i need to use the restroom, there is more pain, but usually it just feels uncomfortable, like there is a mass of something there that shouldn't be. It doesn't hurt more when i work out or if i eat something specific, a certain time of night or anything else; the pain and discomfort seem random to me.
1666825 tn?1303252659 There is a manual manipulation of the hiatal hernia that may help to see if it is the hernia...at least b4 u consider surgery.....check around ur area for a chiropractor that specializes in this....but do have ur heart checked first to be sure there is nothing else going on, and that ur GI agrees.
483733 tn?1326798446 She posted on FB that all went well with the surgery and that she is hungry. They even fixed an old hernia she didn't know she had. Hope to hear more soon.
378425 tn?1305628294 I had my surgery in Feb. 08 then 4 week check-up in March. The doctor said my next check-up would be June. I am having intermittent sharp burning pain above my belly button, I can feel something hard there. I told dr in March that area was tender and it was swelled. He did not really say anything, so I figured it had to do with incision. To me the swelling is still there, is this something anyone else has experienced, could this be a Hernia?

Avatar f tn I am on a waiting list to see Dr. Ellison Stephenson on the Gold Coast where I live, she deals with Chiari. I have also sent my scans to Professor Stoodley who is also dealing with Chiari, in Sydney. So it will be a race to see who I hear back from first.
Avatar m tn t breathe through his nostrils and when he blows his nose, stringy strands of rubber band like mucous come out in strands…sometimes w a little blood. He lives on the Gold Coast, Australia, Im in NZ and want to know what to suggest. He will try get a doctors apt but its kinda urgent and being a new NZ person working in Aust, it may cost him hundreds of $ to even see a doctor…can he get a treatment over the counter in Aust?
Avatar f tn Do any moms know if gold coast covers the breastpump?
Avatar f tn 24 days here and getting cold in canada
Avatar m tn I had an endoscopy performed and the GI doctor saw where the wrap had slipped and a hiatus hernia had developed. I know these types of hernias are common. After having a HIDA scan and a RUQ ultrasound performed, everything came back clean on the gallbladder. He referred me to the surgeon that performed the original Nissen and I went to him today (with pictures from the endoscopy showing where the wrap slipped).
Avatar f tn Hi , yes we are still here , press the tab that says last post and recent posts should come up. Im sorry you are having all of those aches and pains , I found that to be my worst side effect from chemo . Has your Oncologist given you any pain meds to help manage this? if so and they are not helping then they need to switch you onto something else. Having some warm relaxing baths seemed to help me a bit but definately some anti inflammatory meds and pain killers are a must .
7166590 tn?1408351416 Hiiya mums! Was wondering if any of you know any at home jobs??( Location: Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia) I currently work on check outs at woolworths but my health has caused to me have so much time off work and when I do make it, it's too hard on my body due to my bad health :/ now wanting to look at working from home but don't know where to start looking. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn Is this a result of surgery, the accident or both. I don’t understand how a car accident can cause a hernia.
Avatar n tn My husband had the surgery many years ago and he did just fine. You will have to take it easy for awhile though. Depending on how extensive the hernia is, I would'nt be too surprised if they do the surgery out patient. Of course you'll receive pains meds and the Dr will send you home with a script for pain meds.
Avatar f tn thanks guys im aware of the low chance of recovery and have been pushing as hard as possible to get in to see a specialist to no avail, i have private health insurance and my case is being viewed as urgent so im getting in in April instead of September, so even if your pain has stopped the nerve is still compressed, i still have numbness in my right hand first two fingers but it is in no way as bad as before, i was hoping that the nerve may no longer be compressed, just damaged form the time it
Avatar n tn This scenario occurred the following week and a few days after that. During my 3rd ER visit they found a hiatal hernia which was repaired in Feb 2019. After that surgery I only had the symptom of feeling faint occasionally but all other symptoms were gone. Fast forward to Late May 2019 and I start feeling symptoms again. This time it's just discomfort around my sternum, heart palpitations, and blurred vision.
Avatar n tn Anyway my question is has anyone had a surgery other than the nissen fundo to repair the hernia. I am interested in having mine fixed but do NOT want my stomach wrapped around my esophagus. I'd like for a surgeon to just go in and pull the stomach to its proper position and sew up the hole in the diaphram essentially returning everything to its natural order.
7072585 tn?1387735006 the issue of GERD, LPR, etc. The Nissen is not the gold standard we think it is; I feel that the medical community is not working hard or smart enough in finding ways in which to treat patients; contradicting each other, ignoring or contradicting ENT findings. My personal experiences have been a litmus test and I believe you all have encountered similar experiences. We need to organize and do something or who knows when something will be done.
354706 tn?1279470795 is likely cancerous but he is still hoping for the pathological results to prove otherwise. The hernia and not really hernia in the hernia we we understood. There is a hernia sac the size of a small apple. Some rubbery/gooey stuff forced through the hernia hole and become like a flat rubber ballon. Then somehow water makes itself to the 'rubber' and the sac swell up like a balloon. The entire sac is like a rubber ballon filled with fluid and some small traces of blood.
