I had a few umbilicar hernia operations, the last surgery a mesh was placed in my stomic. Years later I noticed my stomic is geting larger and larger and it is very hard, I was told i need two doctors one for the hernia and the other for the diastasis abd wall. My questions are - 1 would my insurance pay? 2- Do you know of a good Doctor. - Is it a diffacult operation?

I live in NY and they have to keep me on medicaid till after the baby is born because weake to much to be on it bit my husbands work doesn't offer insurance so its kinda hard to afford other insurance right now .....

Hello, I used to have extreme pain in the left lower abdomen area (groin area), which was the result of a hernia. I had surgery in July and that took all the pain away. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the same exact pain came back. For the past few days, Ive had extreme sharp pain in the same area. I went to the surgeon who fixed my hernia, and she proclaimed that "there is no way the pain is from the hernia".

Although she got what she wanted and lost over 200 pounds, she is now left looking pregnant with her hernia and is still in and out of hospitals to this day. There are days she cannot keep food down and gets sick. She is on very strong pain medication as perscribed by her doctor. Just before christmas, she went in the hospital again. She had lost 8 bags worth of blood through her bowels, and doctors say she was half an hour away from cardiac arrest.

I shall try to get more information about hernia if it is umbilical or something else. He lives in Pakistan where there is no health care insurance. Finding a donor of liver and then the cost of transplant is out of reach of a person. It could be in millions of Rupees and impossible for an ordinary family. Some people say that if hernia explodes inside the body, it will kill the person. Is there any way to contain the Hepatitis C and reduce the bulge of swollen hernia?

It seems that there is a strange link between my left testicle with the area, and around the area, of my hernia repair incision. This link starts from the back side of my testicle. From the research I've done, it seems that the Vas deferens or spermatic cord have a discomforting link with the area around the hernia repair wound. This is not painful but it is discomforting to say the least.

And I have to be frank with you. If your dentist said you had 2 small cavities that would cost $400, and then the hygienist said you didnt need them done, then something is wrong in that office. If the hygienist is right, then the dentist may be trying to stretch things a bit to keep his schedule full. Most hospitals work with patients with payments. Doctors, it depends. There is pre op tests done before surgery, too. I'm going for my first Dec 21. Doctor wanted her payment first so. I will be finding out soon what the hospital asks for this.

I still sleep on my stomach and have no pain as long as I do not try to turn.......who ever sleeps in the same position all night. I definitely don't. I found some online for my mother, one is called No Ins. Surgery in Las Vegas someone said online they paid $5000. for a hernia repair. I have no claims to this clinic and no prior appointment so I definitely would do more research before getting into anything before you go there. I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). You can find clinical trials on clinicaltrials.gov. they will supply the medications at no cost if you want to try to clear the virus. Hep C is pre-existing condition for any individual policy, however on group insurance it is not. So if you get insurance through a comapny even after being diagnosed you should be okay.

Are the risks less with the implant and the latissimis with implants than witht the diep. No one discussed anything with me but diep. It was like.. the plastic surgeon took one liook and said.. You need diep to be happy with the results. They also want their part up front. I have to pay twenty thousand just to get things started because it is considered elective. Probably will end up costing me forty thousand with the nipple replacement and reduction and lift and followup.. Maybe fifty.

I also have had mesh surgery as of February this year. Since surgery I have had pain in my stomach everyday and cant work in my job. In hide site I have found a Dr. that will remove the mesh as he is specialized in this field. The downfall is he is in Las Vegas and he doesn't except insurance. He has financing. I think you should do your best to find a low or no cost clinic and get it checked. You can call your local health department and they should have some information. It is common to have irregularities, but anything over a couple of months should be checked.

I can not get travel insurance in relation to hernia surgery. Wondering what the risk is of complications post surgery? Do I go or not go?
