Years later I noticed my stomic is geting larger and larger and it is very hard, I was told i need two doctors one for the hernia and the other for the diastasis abd wall. 7196896 tn?1389128561 How was the lung functioning tests prior to surgery? This should improve post surgery. You will have to discuss about this with your treating doctor, as the surgery done will be planned based on the extent of damage to the lungs. Good luck with his surgery and hope he recovers well. Regards.
Avatar f tn Hello, I used to have extreme pain in the left lower abdomen area (groin area), which was the result of a hernia. I had surgery in July and that took all the pain away. Unfortunately, about two weeks ago, the same exact pain came back. For the past few days, Ive had extreme sharp pain in the same area. I went to the surgeon who fixed my hernia, and she proclaimed that "there is no way the pain is from the hernia".
942162 tn?1245428214 The risks of a diaphragmatic hernia depend on the size of the hernia. If it's large, chances are internal organs will eventually find their way through the hole and become strangulated, leading to emergency surgery to save the pet's life. If it's small, the pet can go its entire life and live a normal number of years and never have a problem with it. I don't know why it would cost thousands of dollars to repair, however.
Avatar f tn We can't tell you about the test cost in different countries. You can ask your doctor for a type specific IgG blood test. Is there a reason you think you might have herpes? If you don't have symptoms, and haven't had a lot of risk, please really consider if you want to take the test. There are false positives on the type 2 test, and working through that can get very expensive and can take weeks. I'm not sure the testing needed to do that is available in the Philippines.
Avatar f tn i am in the philippines and the cost for that is very high. is there another way to get pregnant aside from that?
Avatar f tn h has cronic hbv, to know if he has no damage he needs to monitor liver damage by fibroscan every 6 months, blood tests cannot say if there is liver damage or not tenofovir+peginterferon have high chances to clear hbv as long as hbeag is positive but you wont find doctors in the philippines to cure hbv, check if kinetix memeber found any doctor in the philippines or if he will move to vietnam or close country to get treatment
Avatar f tn In our country, Philippines. Having HEP B is like having a HIV. It is such a social discrimination. After i discovered i have the thesis i became depressed. Lazy to study knowing i don't have a chance of becoming a doctor someday because I'm a carrier of the disease. But I'm still hoping there a cure even if the world is telling me it's incurable I hope god will spare us from this disease. What should I do? I'm still a student.
1169557 tn?1263270893 My mother had the gastric bypass surgery about 3 years ago. The operation went horribly wrong and she almost died on the operation table. Fortunately she was able to make it through (barely) and faught for her life. She was in hospital for weeks until she was sent home. Even when she was sent home she was on bed rest with a feeding tube and cathater attatched.
Avatar f tn I think that the kind of hernia surgery you are looking at it is a relatively simple surgery, as far as surgery goes. I don't think the dog will have to be put under deep anaesthesia, the procedure is something that is done close to the surface, and it is a fairly quick operation. I would expect a healthy dog to recover well. Your boy might have some activity restrictions while he is recovering, to keep him from pulling the stitches loose and undoing the procedure.
Avatar f tn Hi all good day! Would like to know whoever has an idea of the cost for HBV-DNA test here in Philippines (more or less). Avatar f tn So sorry for the duplicate post, my wifi is acting up. My brother in the Philippines has liver cirrhosis and his liver is only functioning 20% and his kidney is at 25%. His doctor recommended peritoneal dialysis and we opted it two days ago. We cannot afford a liver transplant. I'm not so sure how the dialysis could help. Thanks for the reply.
Avatar n tn How long is the recovery after the surgery? I was going back to work for atleast a month after my surgery. Is one month enough for my recovery? I quit taking the steroids because it has a side effect on my body that is why my doctor decided to do it in surgery.

494961 tn?1250742077 Yes, your symptoms could be caused by a hiatal hernia. I also suffered from this until fundoplication surgery (which has opened up a Pandora's box of other syptoms).
Avatar f tn My vet charges a hundred dollars for spaying but I think it can be done much less expensively (there are a lot of spay-neuter coupons from humane organizations and other resources) and stitching up an opening that lets a hernia protrude can happen at that time for no added cost. So if you can wait until the kitten is ready to spay, you will be ahead financially. But you don't want her to have to have emergency surgery for a necrotic intestine in the meantime. So let the vet see it.
