Avatar n tn Two years ago I had hiatal hernia surgery. It was a very large hernia. The throat burn began several months after the surgery. They may or may not be connected. I've had two Endoscopies, both were clear. I take Omeprazole twice daily, but it doesn't stop the problem. I don't know what to do and could use some input.
Avatar n tn I got operation on 11/30/2011 for multiple inguinal hernia. Bilateral scope surgery. I had this hernia for over 15 years. As of right now I feel tenderness and throbing in my left scrotum. "the same EXACT pain i had when I had my hernia" I was constipated for about 4 days. after 4 days I was ok using restroom. I have to use it now however I have pain in scrotum and scared to use any muscles cause it feels like something will bust out of my testicles if I try pushing. Please help.
5829074 tn?1375034908 One other - possibly unrelated to this pain - is that I have an inguinal hernia. Apparently this happened 6 months prior to the surgery and went undiagnosed, as I thought it (the bulge) was just related to my suprapubic catheter. I never had scrotal/testicle pain until after the surgery though. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on this. Thanks!
Avatar f tn It is possible it will go down or be less noticeable after you deliver, yet will always be there. If it gets worse surgery will be the treatment. I scheduled my hernia surgery just this morning for the end of NOV. YIPPY LOL Hope This Helps.
Avatar n tn I had pretty bad reflux but more worrisome is the Irregular heartbeats. Cardio DR says there benign so now I'm wondering if the whole acid reflux/hiatal hernia is putting pressure on my heart or vagus nerve thus causing the palpitations. Is it worth going to a gastro Dr for further testing about this theory?
Avatar n tn That night slightly higher and to the left of my belly button was aching. If I pulled my legs to my chest I got a severe burning, stinging sensation. Over the past 5 months the pain comes and goes (it never really goes because there is always a tingling, burning sensation over that spot if you touch it) but it seems to be worse when I exercise too much or am more active.
Avatar n tn Two years after double hernia surgery, I am experiencing a burning pain similar to the pain I had prior to surgery, although more mild and intermittent. I have cut down on sit ups and other exercising, hoping that is the problem, although it hasn't helped(yet). Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn Also gave me spermatic cord denervation I am post nine weeks out from surgery and there is no more burning sensation, but I have a stabbing right testicle pain and when I stretch or bend over my groin becomes inflamed I am going to get a full panel for STDs. Done someone help I have no answer.
Avatar f tn I have upper abdomen pain & pain between my shoulder blades after meals. Also a burning pain almost all the time around my waist/sides. (below navel) Could this be caused by gallstones??? I had a ct scan - showed slight bowel inflammation. Upper Gi showed hiatal hernia. And a colonoscopy - normal. Endoscopy showed gastritis. My Gyn. said I also have signs of endo. Really confusing.
Avatar m tn I had double hernia surgery back in October 09 and here we are Feb 10 and I am still having major burning in my right testacle. Since surgery I've had 2 sets of injections and had a nerve block done on me and I'm still having the major burning and twisting feeling. At times, the pain is so bad that it brings tears and can bring me to the floor. Since surgery, I've been on Hydor's and it does help, but I'm tired of having to take pain pills all the time.
Avatar m tn I have an epigastric hernia so I have surgery and fix it right? Well, my surgery is scheduled for THIS FRIDAY (two days from today) and now I am reading all of the forums and all of the bad news from patients that are sorry they went through with the surgery. ARE THERE ANY GOOD AFTER SURGERY REPORTS OUT THERE? I don't know if I will make an already bad situation worse or if there is hope for me. Please help. Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn I have several fun stomach issues, including GERD, a hiatal hernia, and now gastroparesis. I seem to always have heartburn, despite being on medication for almost 9 years. My esophagus is not "abnormal enough" to repair my hiatal hernia. There does not seem to be much available for my gastroparesis, since Reglan made me sick, Amitiza is not covered by my insurance, and I have no idea if Novardis will accept me to go on Zelnorm.
Avatar f tn Hello. Does this sound like a hiatal hernia? I have lfet side pain(burning sensation) under left rib. After a big meal or any food or drink that irritates my stomach I get a pounding sensation in my chest. Sometimes I get dizziness and pressure in my head as well. As well as a pain in my left side of my back behind ribcage. Thanks so much for any insight.
Avatar m tn I opted to fly to Seattle to get the hill antireflux repair done. The surgery went well but I started noticing a burning sensation in my chest and upper abdomen when i sat for to long,or when I bent over, exercised,or strained at work. I have had 3 tests post op(Barium swallow,Endoscopy, and a CT scan)all showed that my hiatal hernia wasnt back and that everything looked good. My GI doc is baffled and he has ordered yet another endo/bravo ph test. I really have the odd symptom.
Avatar f tn Had Bilateral inguinal hernia surgery 2.5 weeks ago. The right side of my groin is has been numb since I came home from hospital. Like the far right side near the crease of thigh going down a few inches. Also accompanied with burning sensation. Will this resolve over time?
1654177 tn?1319838494 and there are many differing reports from members that have had the surgery....Flycaster had this surgery with positive results...you may want to have a chat with him.... I have not had it and do have a hiatal hernia and have found with modifying my diet and lifestyle I can get it under control.....stress will trigger the symptoms to flare.... I know when symptoms are flaring it is important to not only take the meds, but avoid those foods and bevs that affect this condition....
478868 tn?1209031705 I thought it was all due to the surgery. Guess not, she thinks I have an incisional hernia. I see my surgeon Thursday for further evaluation. Has anyone ever had this? I thought after the hysterectomy, removal of the malignant tumor, I was well on the road to recovery. What am I in for now?
7929968 tn?1395492362 When my mom had hernia surgery that would require mesh, the surgeon said it was normal to have a fluid accumulation during healing. He said the fluid would be drained at the appropriate time, and it did not mean there was an infection at all. Just routine follow-up because the mesh causes a backup of fluid. Is that the problem?
2001540 tn?1327492302 The surgery was to repair peroneal tendon subluxation in the R ankle, which is still swollen, tingling and painful from the June, 2011 surgery. I could have possibly also more recently pulled something in my groin, but said to have no hernia. I saw a neurologist yesterday and he put me on pain mgmt. meds, so at least some of the pain is gone.
Avatar f tn Having hiatal hernia (Nissen) surgery in a few days. My questions are : How soon would it be safe to climb stairs? When can I resume exercising? Some say that sit ups would strengthen the abdomen. Is that true? if so when should I start that? Reading the blog, most people are complaining about not being able to eat. Is this a normal? Would it be better to do a liquid diet for awhile? If so, How long should it be?
245285 tn?1220498346 1. How invasive is a surgery for something like this? I was reading about hernia surgery and it seems some are just done by laser - but I am guessing that mine be more involved than that? 2. If I were to get the surgery now, can I still have children later, or will it be too hard to repeat the surgical procedure once undone? I am in the Cosmetic Surgery section for this because my dr was going to set me up with a Cosmetic/General surgeon when it came time to do the surgery. Thank you!
Avatar m tn No improvement of pain in area. Doctor said to see hernia specialist, answer no hernia. To make a long story short, after many different doctor and therapyst visits and MRI's.Cat Scans and blood tests I was told to see hernia specialist again (different one) answer no again. I am in severe pain and unable to walk more than 15 minutes before burning pain starts. I am desperate for an answer.
