This is my first time in this hospital so im also doing a walkthrough as well so myself and hubby will know what to expect. I will be 28 weeks next week when I gonin and will at least do my walk through if not the registering as well. :-) hope that answered more questions.

hi please could some1 help me asap ive had the injections for trigger finger and on the 9th of april this year i had the operation ((worst mistake of my life)) now i have a swollen hand my fingers r swollen and im in alot of pain i get bad cramp in my fingers my partner has to massage my hand and help me with alot of things as my hand feels so weak i cant even write a line on a piece of paper without stopping for a break sometimes i cant move my fingers n i get pain from my hand upto my elbow

t packed any bags, but Will hopefully do my walkthrough and pre registration at my app on monday! Im so jazzed. I want to buy a spec bag for the hospital. ..

First, I understand your frustration. Before I found out what my first trigger finger was, I was fully prepared to request amputation because it was making my entire hand useless. I've had 3 surgeries over the past 2 years, freeing 4 fingers and removing a ganglion cyst from one. Did your surgeon send you to physical therapy? You need to keep moving your hands and fingers, despite the pain. Scar tissue (adhesions) starts to form a couple of months out from the surgery.

Several years ago I was indirectly struck by lightning on my finger. Ever since I have had severe nerve pain. Cold is simply unbearable let alone if I hit my finger on anything. I have been to several doctors and NO one can help me. I have even attempted accupuncture to no avail. I am currenty taking Lyrica, which helps a little, but not much. I have tried topicals as well. I am to the point where I just want my finger amputated. The pain is just too much!! Any suggestions?

Hello! I hope you get a reply for I am going through the same thing with my 70+ yr old Dad! Told he won't live through amputation so he said don't bother but the gangrene in one area is spreading so quickly! Other areas are dry but I am thinking this is wet! It is getting worse everyday! He has dry gangrene that hasn't changed at all! Hospice is involved now....the Hospice nurse hasn't given you any idea? I am told that sepsis is a possibility....

Given he has these wounds, he needs to take special care to protect his feet all the time. Walking barefoot and out in the rain without proper protection is not recommended. Any serious worsening of the wounds or infection could end up in amputation of his limbs. His feet should be inspected every day and he should seek medical attention immediately if he notes any changes. The best chance to improve the healing is to normalize his blood sugars (or as close to normal as possible).

Having toe amputation in two weeks. Anyone know about balance,recoverytime,walking,reehab...Anything. I'M having no success finding info.

I have been diagnosed with herpes whitlow in my right ring finger...it is a very insidius disease as it is prone to secondary infections and is very costly due to loss of work and topical and oral treatments.Today I start suppression therapy on Valtrex and Zovirax cream if needed.In the last two years I've had at least ten outbreaks and it is really getting me down. Is there any new treatments being researched for this disease?

I'm sure you've seen, by now, that it was a Cat 4 storm that hit with 155 mph winds, heavy rain, and storm surges. We haven't heard all the damage it's done, but I did hear that one person was killed in Gadsden County when a tree fell on a home. I hear the storm is headed off toward the Carolinas now... I hope it diminishes in strength by the time it gets there since they just got hit with Florence and are still in the clean-up process from that...

Here is one that may sound crazy but I am a human rain detector. Every time it is going to rain I get these pressure headaches that start from behind the ears. It slowly moves up my head across my forehead and feels almost stabbing like. It causes me to be lightheaded and in severe pain. Then when it finally rains my head slowly feels better. This I just want to know if anyone has this and what can I do to stop it.

Gosh does the rain make this slow tapering detox worse... Not feeling so good. My legs ache! and of course my ears are ringing!!

How is your husbands' finger? I also had a glomus tumor on my left ring finger just under the nail bed. I had it removed by surgery and it has now grown back. I was told that this tumor is very had to get completely since it is made up of a bundle of nerves and that there was a possibility that is could grow back. It is now more painful than ever. I bumped it just this weekend on a drawer handle and almost lost it.

I am looking to find a t-shirt that will fit my dog following a front leg amputation. The sites I've found don't have sizes large enough for my dog, (a big Chesapeake, just under 100 lbs). Any ideas?

should I put her through an amputation at this age. My vet is great, but, understandably, cannot tell me what she would do if it were her cat. She is scheduled for a series of tests to see if the cancer has invaded any other areas, if her remaining legs are strong enough (without arthritus), x-rays of chest, ultrasound of intestines and a complete blood workup to make sure she is disease free.

i have a situation in which i fingered a woman for about a minute or less not remembering that there was a knife cut that was a bit fresh on one of my finger, the cut was a reasonable size that i got the day before. after remembering the cut i started to worry. it was not bleeding at the time i fingered her. the cut looked like it was starting to heal at that time. ofter 10 weeks i got a sore trought and feel nausea for 4 days i also have headacke.

I would say it would be a good idea to check it out, you may need a tetanus shot and it sounds like it is infected, put some OTC anti biotic cream on a band aid on it till you can get it checked out, Good Luck
