Avatar f tn I now find myself in the situation where I want to bash my GP over the head with something heavy for not having suggested to me that I stop taking Cerazette instead of suggesting that I START taking a whole bunch of other medication and also want to stop taking Cerazette altogether. Are there any dangers in doing this (apart, obviously, from not being protected against unwanted pregnancy)?
Avatar f tn I initially decided to take the pill to prevent pregnancy again to allow myself some time to grieve and get my head back however, this had completely the opposite effect and made me feel 10x worse emotionally. I also resented the fact I had next to no periods as I really needed the reassurance of seeing my body working through it's natural cycle to know that 'I still work' Anyway after discussing with my partner I've now decided to stop taking the pill.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with endo over the summer, my Dr put me on continuous birth control as a plan of action. My problem is after the first month I start spotting, all the way until its time for my next period. Honestly it isn't that bad but I'm 24 and I'd like to be sexually active, but not only am I spotting it's dark and gooey and totally gross. I was wondering if anyone has similar problems and what you do about it.

Avatar f tn ve had the surgery and been put on hormone tablets and been kept on cerazette. With cerazette I went a year with no periods but recently I've been having periods every week and they last about 3 to 4 days. They always start on a Sunday and the blood is extremely black and wet looking. It also still hurts during sex. I'm not too sure what to do as the specialist said they got rid of all the endometriosis. Is there a chance that it could of grown back?

10973712 tn?1414256957 t really find anything on the internet that can really explain in detail what actually happens in the body when you take pills like Cerazette and why it takes so long for periods to return and side effects to diminish. I've never tried progesterone cream, but have read about it online. Don't know if its available in my country, and don't know if I should take hormones in any form now while getting off Cerazette.
Avatar f tn I lost 2 and a half stone in 5 months three years ago by under taking a very strict regime. I was on a low calorie diet (1000-1200 cal) whilst training hard 5 times a week. My periods stopped altogether during this time and have never returned. I have kept the weight off by continuing to exercise 5 times a week and control my calorie intake. I am 5ft1 and a healthy 8st 3 .
Avatar f tn I've being on cerazette for a year and half I've always had a period but the last 2 months I haven't had one I stopped taking it last night because this may sound weird but I miss having a period its like a sign that I am not pregnant, has this happened to anyone else?

1842569 tn?1320917441 Thank you for your comments, I have been told I have "Menorrhigia" and i have been put on for an ultr-sound & am on "combined oral contraception". My doctor says that if I have a problem i will be put on The Pill.
Avatar f tn i used to also be on mycrogynen but it made me depressed and i wanted to kill someone. But with Cerazette You dont not have a weeks break like anyother pill (Mycrogynen you would come to the end of the pack and take a week off not taking any pills) But with cerazette when you come to the end of the pack you dont not have a brake you continue to take the next pill on the next pack. Where that does not allow you to have your period. On cerazette you will get you period maybe 4-5 times a year?
Avatar n tn Like another comment said, birth control can help with long or heavy periods. It has been prescribed by many doctors for those specific reasons.

Avatar f tn I was wondering if it was worth getting any blood tests to look into anything else as perhaps the neck is a symptom not the cause???? Could this be hormonal? I have been on Cerazette the contraceptive pill for two years now and it has stopped my periods completely. Would you really appreciate any advice of what to do now as I have run out of ideas!!!!! Thanks in advance.
