I was 8 weeks pregant and found out the baby stopped growing at week 6 this preganancy was difficult as I had severe back pains in initial days.. anyways doc scheduled my D&E on 1st June and I bled and spot for about 10 days.. those were the most terrible days of my life as I had severe stomach cramps.. and now almost after 20 days counting till my bleeding stopped I'm having my periods. I have heard 1st periods are more heavy. I'm having the same heavy and with stomach pains...

HI i m very sorry to heard about your loss i also have 2 miscarriages and both times after this i had very heavy periods and its quite normal so no need to worry about it and after my last miscarriage my doctor told me if i feel that i m physically fit for again planning my baby than i should go for it but i will say you that you must consult to your doctor.

Before my children i had very heavy and painful periods. They were also 7-8 days in length. Then after my first my periods went down to 4-5 days and not so heavy. Also my cramps are very minimum, but when i get them boy do they hurt. So i would say it is normal to change that much.

My periods were always very clotty started off lightly then got worse so it could be the same in your respect. When i had my two miscarriages i also had some quote painful cramping as your womb contracts as it passes through the baby not nice but i would say if you have had a miscarraige then you would know about it.

aftter that i didnt get periods for three months and on October 16th last month again i got periods and still it didnt stop. some times the bleading is very high still i didnt consult a doctor becoz im worried if they ask me to take birth control pills so from that il have any side affects... some please tell me what should i do im fedup of this please help me...

when i had miscarriage my periods were very light almost for 5days i usually get heavy for 10days.. for two months they were same way but my third cycle was very heavy and painful and i was passing old clots... however as you are feeling some symptoms perform a test if it comes back negative than wait for a while and perform another if its still negative than i m afraid you will have to wait for your next cycle...

and the third one was a day early and I had horrible cramps, huge clots and VERY heavy bleeding. I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage again, but upon research...

Like another comment said, birth control can help with long or heavy periods. It has been prescribed by many doctors for those specific reasons.

If you have irregular periods then it may take longer for your first cycle to start however you can get pregnant right after you have a miscarriage. The heavy feeling could be due to ovulation since its only on one side. If you still don't have a period within a week or two look for signs of pregnancy but don't physic yourself out and get false pregnancy symptoms. Hi, I suggest you go see your doctor as soon as possible. Heavy bleeding in between periods like this is not normal and is a sign something is wrong. I would call and get an appointment as soon as you can to find out what is going on. Have you ever had fibroids or ovarian cyst?
