Avatar m tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be dermatitis skin, contact dermatitis or heat rash. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful apart from steroid creams. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.
Avatar n tn Contact dermatitis isn't something you picked up from sex. Contact dermatitis is simply skin irritation from something you came in contact with. Could be vaginal fluids or a host of other things. Like a new soap. I wouldn't use anything. It will go away. Poison ivy is an example of contact dermatitis. contact dermatitis doesn't usually last too long so it's possible it is eczema or just irritated skin.

Apply warm compresses,Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it.You can take antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin for itching and anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen if it is painful.If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

Irritant dermatitis, the most common type of contact dermatitis, involves inflammation resulting from contact with acids, alkaline materials such as soaps and detergents, cosmetics, or other chemicals. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry.

Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed.
Avatar n tn But at the same time I applied corticosteroid, i ceased using contact lenses because the rash on the finger seemed to correspond to the area where I handled contact lenses. I am using acuvue lenses and just a bausch and lomb sensitive eyes saline solution. Is it possible either of these would cause this skin rash?

Like a normal heat rash? they aren't raised and they eventually go away. i think my skin might be dry as well. i thought it might have been from shaving so i avoided that for a week and it didn't change anything. My new job involves a lot of walking all day long. Could that be my problem? I am quite a paranoid person so i am beginning to worry. Does anyone else have this problem?

Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.Also wear cotton undergarments.

Contact dermatitis, Psoriasis, heat rash, chicken pox all can cause rashes in these areas of the body. Other possibilities are candidiasis, fungal infections, parasitic infestations like scabies etc. In herpes there is a cluster of vesicles on a red base. In moist areas like the vagina it may cause ulcerations. Consult a dermatologist for a better evaluation.

Avatar n tn As much as I can tell from the photos, this looks like heat rash or possibly a viral rash. There are plenty of summer viruses besides HIV, though. I suggest that if the rash persists for another 2 weeks, show it to a doctor. Meantime, there isn't any specific treatment you need to do. Best. Dr.
