Common Questions and Answers about Heat rash treatment groin

rash

I never mentioned it because I don't want to make a big deal about something that can be as simple as a Heat rash. I'm trying to go through my head what it could be. I was walking a lot so there was plenty of sweat and rubbing in my tight jeans. Unrelated, but I've been on minocycline for a few months. Sometimes I forgot to take my pill throughout the week of the vacation. I got a couple of spider bites.
Recently I had been treated for a fungal/bacterial infection there, and the infections are gone, but I still get this rash when I perspire profusely. Is this Heat rash or prickly Heat? Is the skin in my groin not fully healed yet? Any ideas?
It began as a (somewhat warm) prinkling sensation between my groin and scrotum. My doctor said it was Heat rash probably triggered by the antibotics and prescribed clotrimazole and betamethasone cream. This seemed to help, however shortly after using it, my scrotum began very red, I believe due to the use of the steriod cream. Although the rash had not cleared up entirely.
Hello, This rash can be sweat dermatitis, Heat rash, eczema or fungal infections. Please elaborate on the description of the rash and the associated symptoms so that a list of differentials can be made. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep posted in case you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
I flew home the next day and arriving home noticed a rash on my inside upper legs near my groin which went away a few days later. (Seemed like a typical Heat rash). While the rash subsided the itch did not and I became very concerned. I self diagnosed and was convinced it was crabs so I used RID which made the itching and redness worse.
Hi. This may be a sweat rash or miliaria. Infants may be prone to this especially in the covered areas. Change the diapers often and do not allow diapers to dry on the skin. Also, keep the room well ventilated and avoid bringing your child outdoors when the Heat is intense. I suggest that you bring your child to a pediatric dermatologist for further assessment. Washing the area with a mild cleanser may help.
Four weeks ago I noticed a rash on my groin below my scrotum. It has gradually gotten worse and i have used hydrocrisone cream and talc with no effect. The rash pretty much stays away from my penis and scrotum, is focused mainly below my scrotum and spreads sporadically down my thigh and a little around my anus. On my thigh the rash is more like pimples and sometimes the pimples become elevated with a small light colored area in the middle of it which might be some kind of puss.
For about 2 weeks, several times a day, I feel Heat starting to form on the outer side of my right leg. But I have no rash and my skin does not feel hot to the touch. Please someone help us figure out what is going on.
Im 17. Ive had this rash in my groin (over groin muscle, a bit on scrotum, just spread to base of penis) for 2 years. Its a little bit itchy and red with poorly defined borders. It gets redder when I work out or am in the Heat. I've just hit rock bottom and i am freaking out. A little background: It seems to go in cycles of how bad it is. One day i came home from a workout and fell asleep for 2 hours without showering (2 years ago) and developed a bad case of what i thought was jock itch.
Ask pharmacist where to find it in the aisles. I call it Heat rash when I talk to pharmacist for it.
At the very least, it is clearly established that scratching prickly Heat bumps, thought it might seem like a fine idea at the time, will result in more itching. treatment for prickly Heat is most usually a recommendation of staying out of the Heat when possible. Showering several times a day when exposure to Heat is unavoidable can help clear sweat glands. As new skin develops, prickly Heat will be relieved on its own in most cases, because the ducts eventually clear themselves.
For ~6 months have had throat irritation, constant feeling of need to cough or clear throat. Cause unknown, less pronounced recently. ~4 months ago constant bloating / burning sensation in lower abdomen started, had 2 weeks of Levsin, no help. Cause unknown, still experiencing. My memory about when rash started is fuzzy -- prob. 1 to 1-1/2 months ago. Assumed jock itch and treated w/ Cruex spray for about a week -- itching probably wasn't completely gone then.
Itching in the groin region can be due to excess sweating (hyperhydrosis), fungal infections, acanthosis nigricans, dandruff, hydradenitis supparativa, Heat rash etc. In all the above mentioned causes, hyperhydrosis and fungal infections are more common. Have you ever used antifungal treatments? Tinea cruris or jock itch is the common fungal infection that affects the skin of your inner thighs, buttocks and genitals. It causes an itchy red, ring shaped rash in these areas.
But if it is the sun, the effect is not immediate, and the rash never totally disappears. I have never had this rash on my trunk or groin area. My head does get very itchy though, as does my face in general. This is at its worst in the spring/early summer and then in the summer, it is my forearms, then forearms and lower legs and eventually also my upper arms. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hello, In the absence of STD’s, it can be due to fungal infection, dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic), Heat rash or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis. You may try calamine lotion. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid deodorant / cosmetics.
No common theme on when it starts that I know of. What it looks like? Most people describe the "average" riba rash as a light red, dry rash usually with raised little bumps all over. But again, everyone is different, this is just what I've heard described and what I personally experienced with the so called riba rash. Speaking for myself, there were other facets of it though. Although much of what I went through was also either directly or indirectly tied into a telaprevir rash.
in an area above the inside of my right ankle - several times/day for the last month. There is no swelling and when I feel the Heat sensation, I don't feel that Heat with my hand. There seems to be no difference the the amount whether sitting, standing or lying down. Of course, I worry about blood clots.
I went through an unsuccesful icsi treatment where I took large doses of stimulation drugs. It's during the treatment when I realized an awful rash on both my arms from wrist to shoulder. They do not itch at all, however they are red and often have white "head" puss inside them, which when squeeze it comes up like a pimple. They are raised, red and/or tanned and sometimes look like clogged pores. When I excercise and sweat they feel quite hot and a little burning.
Any advice appreciated on skin crawlies and overwhelming body Heat. Only have 14 days to go till unblinding and realize I have to tough it out. Still, if anyone has found some way to reduce body Heat and constant itching - would welcome advice. I'm talking megaHeat so you cant wear anything even though you are simultaneously shivering and your head boils, your eyes ache, you're dry as a bone all the time but nothing seems to hydrate - even though drinking water constantly and showering often.
not individual bumps ya know... looks like Heat rash pictures online, but nothing unusual as far as sweating. Kinda looked like hives too but my seems like nothing out of ordinary in life has changed to cause hives. Now the rash has jumped up to just behind my arm pits more towards my back. also on one arm in the bend of my elbow. so basically entire groin area stopping immediately where pants fit on hips, bend in elbow, and arm pits... VERY VERY itchy..
Unfortunatly these are all very common side effects of triple treatment rash rash developed in 56% of subjects who received INCIVEK combination treatment [see Adverse Reactions (6.1)]. Severe rash (e.g., a generalized rash or rash with vesicles or bullae or ulcerations other than SJS) was reported in 4% of subjects who received INCIVEK combination treatment compared to less than 1% who received peginterferon alfa and ribavirin alone. The severe rash may have a prominent eczematous component.
I had to put ice paks on to control the Heat. So it didn't look like a rash at first. The neck patch was itchy but the groin patches were not. After about 3 days of that I woke up covered in spots - full on systemic allergic reaction said the doc. The spots are large, more like blotches, not necessarily itchy. On the first day some had a ring of blanched skin around them. They quickly joined up to look like a red mosaic.
On the way to church two Sundays ago m husband came down suddenly with a rash that started with two spot on his hand before we left and by the time we got to church it was all over his arms and hands. By the time we got home it had spread all over him and it was red, angry looking and very itchy. By Monday evening he was in agony with the itching and starting to have a lot of congestion and was losing his voice.
I cannot afford medical treatment at the moment but would really like to know if this condition sounds familiar to anybody on here and perhaps any advice on where i can go or what i can do to rid myself of it in an inexpensive manner. Chief Symptons: Darkened skin on scrotum, around the scrotum (inner thighs) and possibly into the anal area. Agrivated by sweat/Heat (intensifies the odor) and crotch area feels sticky throught the day.
About two weeks ago I noticed a pimple under the pubic hair in the middle of my groin, about an inch above the penis. There was no cause for alarm or anything because pimples occasionally appear on obscure places from time to time (back, arms, etc). I had sex around the same time but I'm not really sure if the pimple was there before or after (again, a pimple wouldn't usually cause me any worry). The skin wasn't broken or anything, just a little red bump.
The rash became worse and spreads in small red itchy areas. I got some medicated powder, but it only really worked on the rash around groin area (there, stomach, chest, neck (!!!!!!!! need to hide!!!!!!), back seems to have less, but still whatever is there is very itchy. Does anyone know if this may come and go or is it permanent throughout thr tx?
I also have the same thing off and on for years with the severe rash, but most time when the rash is not there i feel like its not ok in my groin area. Just spent $500 on STI test all negative not sure what to do..I got this after my first hSV2 out break in 2001 and then it would go from my eyes to my penis. Any help would be good.
But under some conditions, sweating just is not enough and may manifest as the rash, If you live in a humid and hot environment, this is more likely. The best treatment for Heat rash is to provide a cooler, less humid environment. It is important also to keep the affected area clean and dry. Other differentials such as irritant or contact dermatitis as well as allergic reaction should also be looked into. Take care and regards.
- I get occasional bursts of itching in my upper thighs and buttocks, (but NO rash here - no leading edge - not jock itch). - There is frequently chafing/burning pain in affected areas. - Sweating and Heat seems to make all of the above symptoms worse, almost immediately. If I get sweaty one day, everything is worse for days afterwards. - Cortisone seems to help for a day, but after day one the itching and redness seem to get worse.
Is it possible to be diagnosed with shingles without having an external rash? The pain is on my left side only in a band near my waist line. The pain is horrific - even to the touch. All symptoms seem to be consistent with shingles but after 2 weeks of this, there is no rash. Narcotics, vicodin and darvocet have helped some but not completely.
