Heat rash tanning

Common Questions and Answers about Heat rash tanning

heat

Avatar f tn Is it all because of the one time I went tanning before I got married? Is it PMLE or just a heat rash? Furthermore, while on vacation my rash won't show up until about the 3rd or 4th day into my vacation and then it covers my whole body. Why do you think this is? Side Note: I'm an spf nazi and cake 30-50 on at all times. I love swimming and vacationing, but the thought of going makes me depressed due to my ugly rash.
Avatar f tn we both tan for a couple months ever year i got it first and my doctor told me it could be like a heat rash and i most likely got it on my stomach b/c its a sensitive place. i also worked at a few salons before and the first one i worked at i got a rash on the back of my leg and a little on my back it was a chemical burn my boss didn't wipe all the cleaner off. but she put some kind of cream on it and it went a way in a few days.
1025521 tn?1252507728 I am an RN, and I am not sure why you have a rash, but for your own safety, stay away from the tanning beds! There is a huge increase in the number of skin cancer cases from young women using tanning beds, and it just isn't worth it. Get a spray on tan; a lot of places are offering those now. I hope all works out for you.
Avatar f tn I am aware it is probably a heat rash and the tanning bed is causing but I would like to know what can help prevent it and what can help take it away or calm it down?
Avatar f tn The one on my heel and other one on my chest are UNRELATED. The one on my chest usually occurs after i lay in the tanning bed. Could it be from heat? It itches and spreads when i scratch it.Any suggestions will help.Thanks.
Avatar n tn My mom thought it was a heat rash but i looked that up and none of the sites said anything about them being on arms. I stayed inside mostly the next day and then were gone. Then today I went to the beach and after being out a while i noticed that they were all over my arms, front and back, on the tops of my hands, all over my legs front and back and also on the top of my feet. What could this be from and how do I get rid of it?
Avatar f tn I noticed in the bed these spots under the UV lighting, what looked like a red rash and thought it had something to do with the heat from laser + tanning. Unfortunately, these spots are now visible around my bikini area and lower navel area (also treated with laser hair removal). They are a tan color and when I shower, they get darker. I was hoping they would go away (as I once had “Mexican dermatitis” on my legs and that went away after a few months), My questions are: 1.
250701 tn?1320974765 temp were you are is 93 degrees and it is 66% humidity. I am well acclimated to heat and humidity. I am not exactly the beach or tanning type but I already know how my skin responds to the pool, various sun screen/block, the sun, sweating and most important: to what degree the meds are photosensitive. **photosensitivity is the huge wild card here that is unique to your physiology. All we can do is share how we respond in the conditions you outlined.
Avatar n tn About 5 weeks later I got a rash that was located on my chest, arms, and stomach (a few hours earlier I had been tanning so I took it as heat rash). The rash went a way within a day. More recently, I had a 10 second unprotected exposure with my boyfriend, about three weeks later he had a red rash on his neck which subsided within two days. I am worried that I got infected with hiv from my unprotected oral exposure and gave it to him. Please help ease my anxiety.
Avatar f tn The effects of the deep over all heat from the tanning lights last throughout most of day. It is wonderful. I know people say tanning is bad...but when you suffer every day w/ no relief the benefits outweigh the risks. I do 3x a week for 10-20 minutes. I am 58 years old. Just thought I would share this treatment if it can help anyone else.
Avatar n tn I'm 26 and tanned a few years in my early twenties. I saw a derm about six months ago, and my skin was fine. Since then, I've developed almost cystic like acne on my right-side jawline, which has since gone down. However, there was a bump I must've picked which left a sore that scabbed over, went away, became irritated and came back, not healing up after what seems like a few months.
Avatar f tn I just started laying in the tanning bed and i have developed a rash on my butt its about as big as a dime and has lil blisters in it. The past two years that i have tanned i have got it and it will stay for about a week and then go away and not come back un til next year when i start tanning. What is it and how can i stop it from coming back?
1730786 tn?1310092814 Hi all, So I have tanned before and I have fairly sensitive skin with lots of freckles, but usually after I continue tanning in the bed and slowly building up my time, my skin gets use to the UV rays. It takes time but I can usually get there. Until now.. It all started a few months ago when I was trying to build up a base tan before summer and after about a week or so of tanning I noticed that I was getting this rash looking thing on my chest.
Avatar n tn this small bumps that you have on your fingers are probably coming from and allergic reaction to something your eating or touching or it could be a heat rash because at this moment i have the same red little bumps on my fingers and its irratating and the best thing to do is not scratch it and expecially try to not go in the sun alot and keep the temperatures around you at a moderate tempewrature because like i said it could be a heat rash I also have the bumps and i go to the doctors on the 31 o
Avatar f tn I never use tanning beds or tanning lotions I just use some good old sunscreen and sit out for hours either sitting or doing things around outside but since I got pregnant in august 2014 and where I live some days were cold and warm then old again and now today I'm loving this heat and I was just wondering if it's safe but thank you
1352717 tn?1276971442 Tanning beds would go against conventional wisdom of heat causing MS to be worse. If it works for you I guess that is good.
342988 tn?1299782356 hello, i was wondering if any of you knew of good at home remedies or creams that helped with psorisis? I am now 13 weeks pregnant and do not want to be using a steriod cream. Tanning always worked in the past for me but i can go go into a tanning booth while pregnant. I have heard that avocado oil works wonders and just checking to see if anyone has advice. I do not have bad psorisis, just smalls ones on my belly and back that form from heat and stress.
Avatar f tn Hello, It can be due to solar urticaria, sweat dermatitis, heat rash or contact dermatitis. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated. Till that time, you can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide).
Avatar f tn Despite what most people think u can also tan during pregnancy... If tanning hurt the baby then everyone who went to tanning salons would be cooking their insides. You just have to make sure you don't over heat.... So yes tanning and breast feeding is fine. Plus the tanning will make you feel revitalized.
