Avatar m tn s now not very noticeable but I still have sensitivity with my scrotum and there seems to be a rash where my scrotum meets my leg which is very uncomfortable. Could this be herpes? Avatar m tn Hi, sounds like heat rash and scratching it makes healing take longer. If you feel its herpes related then have a test.
Avatar m tn There is no realistic chance this is hsv. A reaction to the legging or skiing but not herpes.
Avatar m tn Heat generated under the bed clothes causes the scrotum to sweat and thus increases scrotum irritation. If no rash is present, try a drying talc, like baby powder. If a rash is present you may try a medicated antifungal powder, cream or spray. If this does not help, you a may try a different detergent for your laundry. If the symptoms still persist, consult your skin specialist or dermatologist. Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts. Regards.

Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms the possibilities of boils, heat rash, sweat dermatitis or scabies rash. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs. My sincere suggestion is to get it evaluated from a doctor. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.

Avatar f tn Not STD. Not heat rash, either, probably, as those are just irritating and then go away. Probably just chafing. Not a place likely to get eczema. You might need a better pair of bicycle shorts. I used to get friction rashes all the time in that area from running. If it was just itching and not red, it might be ringworm, or jock itch. That's a fungal infection, but those are more likely in the edges of your pubic area where it's nice and moist.
Avatar n tn Just wondering what is going on. I kinda think it might just be like a heat rash because it hurts sometimes when i havent had sex or masturbated and its summertime now and warm and i sweat. Any answers would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examnation but it can be intertrigo, heat rash or contact dermatitis. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.
Avatar n tn You would also need to rule out eczema, dermatitis, heat rash or an allergic reaction which could also cause similar symptoms. Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions. It would be best to reconsult a doctor about the symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination. Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.
Avatar n tn I also have a minor rash on both sides of my groin between my scrotum and inner thigh, my dermatologist said is most likely a heat rash because I live in a very humid climate and have a history of heat rashes in that general area. I believe the rash was present prior but It has lingered for days prior. Do I have concern for HIV infection? If so what are the odds?
Avatar m tn t provided very detailed info, but I would suggest you get it checked out for scabies. It could also be a heat rash--have you been working outdoors or sweating a lot lately? Essentially, there are a number of possible causes. Take some benadryl and see a dermatologist.
