Heat rash groin

Common Questions and Answers about Heat rash groin

heat

The rash is a series of small red bumps in an oblong circle that is an exact outline of where the scrotum contacts the skin on my legs, and the skin in the center of the circle of bumps is a greyish color. The rash itches but never seems to grow or change shape, heat and moisture tend to make the itching worse. I have tried keeping it dry by using baby powder but it did not seem to make it go away or stop itching. I have tried cortozone cremes but they dont seem to be affecting the rash at all.
i have groin rash aorund the area of my underwear crease. its become quite big and im quite embarassed about it. is there anything i can apply to get rid of it. thanks.
About 3 weeks ago I developed rashes on my groin ( specifically the area where the thigh and pelvic join). I went to the doc he saw it said it was a heat rash and told me to put some antibiotic cream on it (the rashes were pretty deep and had developed into scars). Anyway the scar type leisions have healed but I have developed really dry skin around that area which is peeling. The area is not red but very dry and sometimes itchy.
I never mentioned it because I don't want to make a big deal about something that can be as simple as a heat rash. I'm trying to go through my head what it could be. I was walking a lot so there was plenty of sweat and rubbing in my tight jeans. Unrelated, but I've been on minocycline for a few months. Sometimes I forgot to take my pill throughout the week of the vacation. I got a couple of spider bites.
Recently I had been treated for a fungal/bacterial infection there, and the infections are gone, but I still get this rash when I perspire profusely. Is this heat rash or prickly heat? Is the skin in my groin not fully healed yet? Any ideas?
It began as a (somewhat warm) prinkling sensation between my groin and scrotum. My doctor said it was heat rash probably triggered by the antibotics and prescribed clotrimazole and betamethasone cream. This seemed to help, however shortly after using it, my scrotum began very red, I believe due to the use of the steriod cream. Although the rash had not cleared up entirely.
For about 3 or 4 weeks now I have had a rash in my groin. It does not itch, burn, or sting. It is hot here, and I have been sweating a lot. The area is in my groin fold, about half way between the pubic area and hip bone. It does not extend onto my penis or scrotum. It is in the crease of my groin, and when I sit down, this area makes contact with my upper inner thigh. I am a pretty big guy and it follows the ridge of fatty tissue that folds over when I sit down. It is more or less linear.
Hello, This rash can be sweat dermatitis, heat rash, eczema or fungal infections. Please elaborate on the description of the rash and the associated symptoms so that a list of differentials can be made. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep posted in case you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
The conditions fungi like best are warm, moist and airless areas of skin such as the groin. A red rash then develops in the groin, usually with a definite edge or border. Both groins are commonly affected. The rash often spreads a short way down the inside of both thighs. You can buy an antifungal cream from pharmacies, or get one on prescription. There are various types and brands. For example; terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, and sulconazole.
As to other causes, I doubt it is an antibiotic-related rash, which usually would be body-wide and not so localized. In the groin, things like heat rash, jock itch, and superfical minor bacterial infections all sound possible. You might have folliculitis. Bottom line: I see no concern at all about herpes and doubt this has anything at all to do with your recent sexual encounter. See a health care provider if the problem persists or recurs.
Most often, heat rash goes away on its own. Severe forms of heat rash may need medical care, but the best way to relieve symptoms is to cool your skin and prevent sweating. Keep the affected area dry. Dusting powder may be used to increase comfort.
About two months ago after a very hot rock concert I got a rash on one side of my groin (nothing on genitals). It is very red, but nothing is raised (i.e. no little pimples or the like) and there is no discharge of anything. It is not itchy, not scaly and is only mildly painful. There are red dots clumped very close together. It has almost completely gone away a few times, but always comes back. Hydrocortisone cream seems to work at time, but it's still not going away.
It started off as a heat rash I think because I had gained a few pounds and decided to go back to the gym and my thighs rubbed together often. It didn't have bumps at first but after a week or so of trying to treat it with powder and baths the dots appeared. This morning the itching was out of control as I was drying off the Lamisil cream so I could head to the dermatologist. I rubbed my thighs pretty bad and then scratched them quite a bit as well.
Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examnation but it can be intertrigo, heat rash or contact dermatitis. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.
I flew home the next day and arriving home noticed a rash on my inside upper legs near my groin which went away a few days later. (Seemed like a typical heat rash). While the rash subsided the itch did not and I became very concerned. I self diagnosed and was convinced it was crabs so I used RID which made the itching and redness worse.
Long story short, my wife and I separated so I decided to get over the sad feelings by going out of the country. During that time I got a heat rash on my inner thigh, about an inch from the groin due to the constant walking in the hot weather. Then, pressured by my friends, I had sex with a prostitute. I wore protection but I am afraid I got infected through the heat rash. At exactly 3 weeks I developed a flu like illness.
Hi. This may be a sweat rash or miliaria. Infants may be prone to this especially in the covered areas. Change the diapers often and do not allow diapers to dry on the skin. Also, keep the room well ventilated and avoid bringing your child outdoors when the heat is intense. I suggest that you bring your child to a pediatric dermatologist for further assessment. Washing the area with a mild cleanser may help.

I had been taking some pretty heavy antibiotics recently and started to noice a rash along my right groin in the fold between my thigh and genitals. (I've been off the antibiotics for a couple of weeks now). Initially, I ignored the rash, hoping it would go away but now, several weeks later, it is burning, itching, and it started appearing on my left groin area as well. I've tried Tinactin and Hydracortazone off an on for the past 2 weeks with little or no success.
I wear boxers which keeps my groin cool so I don;t think its heat rash. I hope it isnt a STD. I looked at pics of all the STDs I can think of and none look identical to it.
The other possibilities are of sweat dermatitis or heat rash. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort after consulting a dermatologist.

Four weeks ago I noticed a rash on my groin below my scrotum. It has gradually gotten worse and i have used hydrocrisone cream and talc with no effect. The rash pretty much stays away from my penis and scrotum, is focused mainly below my scrotum and spreads sporadically down my thigh and a little around my anus. On my thigh the rash is more like pimples and sometimes the pimples become elevated with a small light colored area in the middle of it which might be some kind of puss.
I have a rash on my inner thigh groin area and it's rather large. It's a bunch of red circles with whitish purple centers. Its a little itchy but not that bad, almost unnoticeable at times. Here is a link to a picture of the actual rash I have, http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb475/lilobrat05/3F93366E-4729-4DFC-96ED-189793DCF78F-4092-0000027A89246EC0_zpse5a91ae3.
2nd time (week later) I received a handjob from a girl and I massaged her vagina through her undies I then started getting the rash and I thought nothing of it as it is very hot and I thought it would be a heat rash. 3rd time (last week) i received a handjob and I fingered her vagina with no undies. I just fingered her on the clitoris and did not put my finger inside her vagina.I had no visual cuts on my fingers. I have looked on the web and I seem to think that I have Intertrigo.
I have had this rash in my groin/anus area for over 4 months now. I believe it started because of the extensive heat from the summer pairing with the fact that I am very active in a lot of sports and I sweat excessively on a daily basis in those areas. I tend to sweat there more than the upper half of my body. My regular doctor perscribed Fluocinonide cream. That tend to lessen the irritation but after a few weeks, the rash has not subsided. He then put me on some antifungal pills for 7 days.
