Heat rash from sun

Common Questions and Answers about Heat rash from sun

heat

Avatar n tn Symptoms follow any stimulus to sweat such as exercise (sometimes called exercise-induced urticaria), heat from the sun (which could also indicate solar urticaria), saunas, hot showers (reaction to water can also indicate water urticaria). The affected area will often feel warm and can be extremely itchy or exhibit a burning sensation. Typically the rash occurs on the upper trunk and the arms but can appear on other parts of the body.
Avatar n tn t anything that can be done quickly, the best advice which I could give is to cover up and take care in the sun - you will find that you are hypersensitive to the sun during this year and you will get heat rash when it gets hot, so stay covered and probably next year if you don't get burnt it will have gone.
Avatar m tn Hi All, I seem to have developed some kind of heat or sun rash that i experience every time i go overseas. It normally appears within 15 minutes of exposure to sun. I've tried all different types of sunscreens that are meant to be very friendly with no luck. Once it's appeared pretty much nothing will calm it down including air con, antihystamines or steroid creams (which i don't like using).
Avatar f tn I was recently in a rehab that was in a county jail. I was there for 6 months, and during this entire stay from Nov. 7 thru May 5, 2008 I did not see outside nor did I get to go outside. Now that I've been home and working outside I get this terrible rash on my arms, chest and back of my neck from the sun. I didn't over do it by staying out in the sun to long . I'm wondering if this is caused from no sun light for 6 months straight?
250701 tn?1320974765 For me it wasn't just the sun, but the combination of heat, sun and sweating that turned the rash into an ugly monster. Once it flares it's a bugger to calm back down. If you have any rash issues now, be very careful. If not, maybe try very short exposures and see - if you are willing to take the risk. Otherwise, wait until the end of treatment to soak up some rays.
Avatar f tn Being i was pretty much an outdoor person i was lucky the sun didn't cause me any problems but the heat sure got to me... As for tanning, good luck. Always tan easy but not on these meds. Not sure why but 3 different summers of treating and just wouldn't tan...

Avatar f tn I have never had heat rash before, and have been out in the sun plenty in my lifetime...I went on vacation in Feb and after a week on the beach I ended up getting a nasty heat rash on my stomach, chest and arms. It eventually went away, but it was strange for me to get it. Then just this past week, I was out in the sun for the day and got another bad heat rash on my arms? What's going on? The only thing that is different is that I've been on birth control pills for the past 3 years.
Avatar n tn I have had a heat rash on my neck, beside the jawline now for 14 years. I have been to a few Dr's who have said "Its just a heat rash, nothing you can do about it". My question, can a heat rash last for this long? Its been in the same place and has never spread. Its definately gets worse in the heat, it itches like crazy.
Avatar n tn I noticed that many people are having the same problem as I am regarding sun rashes; where it is extremely itchy and turns red! A few years back I went to Italy and I got this rash again ..this year I went to Punta Cana..and i almost got the rash until i discovered why it was reacting like this. I do have sensitive skin, although over time your skin becomes more sensitive. I got rashes when I used tanning oil ...and it was bad...
Avatar n tn My mom thought it was a heat rash but i looked that up and none of the sites said anything about them being on arms. I stayed inside mostly the next day and then were gone. Then today I went to the beach and after being out a while i noticed that they were all over my arms, front and back, on the tops of my hands, all over my legs front and back and also on the top of my feet. What could this be from and how do I get rid of it?

Avatar n tn Symptoms follow any stimulus to sweat such as exercise, heat from the sun, saunas, hot showers (reaction to water can also indicate water urticaria) or any stimulus that causes an increase in body temperature. All urticarias are caused by an elevated histamine release by the body's mast cells. With cholinergic urticaria the exact triggering mechanism for this response is unknown, but it is assumed to be related to the body's thermoregulatory response.
Avatar f tn Then when my skin gets hot the redness comes back in the same exact spots. I believe my skin is extra sensitive to the heat because if I go out in the sun and my rash is covered, it will flare up due to heat rather sun exposure. Also, the same bumps appear every time. This past vacation, my right thigh got the worst of it. My left thigh wasn't as bad and then my core and upper arms got the rash pretty bad too. It's so frustrating. Why does this happen and why now?!
Avatar f tn Symptoms follow any stimulus to sweat such as exercise , heat from the sun, saunas, hot showers , spicy foods which may cause an increase in body temperature or even stress due to blushing or anger. Some people only have symptoms during the winter months where their body temperature rises when it is unacclimatized to heat. The affected area will often feel warm and can be extremely itchy or exhibit a burning sensation.
Avatar f tn I have had urticaria in the past from heat rash and the rash did not have little white heads. It is likely that you are sweating more and the pores are getting blocked up hence the little white heads. It also looks from the photo that you have an oily skin, and these type of spots are quite common on that type of skin. Have you noticed at all apart from the sun, whether this is linked to round the time of your period?
Avatar n tn Hi Some people are likely to be more sensitive to heat or to sun exposure. You may be experiencing a photosensitivity reaction. Photosensitivity reactions involve a whole spectrum of skin conditions. Solar urticaria may present with a rash few minutes after exposure to the sun. Chemical photosensitivity may present with skin rash after application of creams and lotions coupled with sun exposure. Which one applies in your case?
Avatar n tn its not itchy but very sore looking.what is it?should i bring him to a doctor?
Avatar f tn For years I have had extreme pain from exposure to sun, especially during the summer, but also during late spring and early fall. The pain is mainly on the tops of my feet and the tops of my hands. It has progressed to pain all over my body, especially in my joints. I have heat intolerance, where I feel fatigue, nausea and dizziness. I have been out in shaded areas and would wake with my entire body swollen twice my size. I cannot even drive or ride in a car if it is sunny.
4896357 tn?1360670904 In addition to the sun, heat and sweating can also trigger the rash. If your feeling a little rough from the shots, a full blown rash will drive you crazy and turn your world upside down. As you said, you don't want to compromise trt, so be careful. Plenty of folks on the forum including me have had to deal with rashes and can give you some ideas for dealing with it if needed. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Other factors to consider, I had been wearing a rather tight muscle shirt of nylon and running and cycling in 90 degree heat every day during this time frame, on the Friday after my mild fevers I cycled approx 20 miles in 90 degree heat and felt fine afterwards)- being in Florida during August with high humidity I sweated profusely on a daily basis during this training (Saturday I ran about 10 miles in the late morning in heat, humidity and sun and Sunday I cycled about 10 miles same heat and
