Common Questions and Answers about Heat fatigue symptoms

heat

Avatar f tn I have the same heat symptoms, with severe mental and fatigue. You can try a cooling vest if you are going to be outside for very long.
Avatar f tn Has your thyroid ever been tested? Hyperthyroidism can cause heat intolerance. As well as fatigue, diarrhea, a racing heart, and anxiety. You should look it up and see if you have any of the other symptoms.
Avatar f tn I also have periodic itching all over my body in the evening, some urinary control issues and i am very prone to heat intolerance. Mainly, i am most bothered by the fatigue. I would appreciate any advice and or input on my symptoms, and what I should be asking my doctor? Thanks!
428506 tn?1296557399 The heat can instantly enhance some sensory symptoms in me. For example, when I cook, if I catch some steam to the face, my face immediately tingles strongly, then subsides as the heat dissipates. Ongoing heat all over, like from hot temperatures or a too hot shower, bring on feelings of malaise and fatigue and often also stomach aches. For me, the cold usually causes more leg cramps and roving pains.
Avatar f tn I had had some sensitivity to heat prior to surgery, but now it is far, far worse. Terrible migraine, fatigue, nausea for a couple of days. Is this normal? I am 3 months post surgery, when will normal begin or (I am afraid to ask) is this my new normal?
Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my first baby, the first 8 or so weeks of my pregnancy were fine. I didn't even know I was pregnant until 5 weeks, and even after that I had next to no symptoms. But the last couple of weeks things have taken a huge turn and it's like I've been hit with every symptom imaginable.
Avatar f tn I have moved to florida a year and a half ago and since then I have had a series of symptoms that no one can give me an answer on. I have developed an intolorence to heat, unable to sleep through the night, nausea, fatigue, head aches, feeling full after eating a small amount, irritability, anxiety and dry old looking skin. i recently saw my ob/gyn and she ran hormone and thyroid tests along with the usual yearly blood work and all came back normal. She prescribed Xanax to control the anxiety.
Avatar f tn From Weeks 6/7-9 I had very strong symptoms including nausea, vomiting, stuffy nose, food aversions, tender breasts, dizzy spells, and sensitivity to heat and smells. (terrible I know) And although I am thankful the symptoms stopped I am also worried because they stopped so abruptly. One day I was nearly bedridden and the next I was perfectly fine. Is this normal?
1323278 tn?1298122488 ed, but I do have heat intolerance. For me, my fatigue goes through the roof. I also feel nauseous. My vision gets blurry and my legs feel like I am dragging 100 lb weights and I get off balance.
Avatar f tn Heat fatigue is not just isolated to MS. Many diseases are worse in the heat, I think we just fatigue more easily. I have Transverse Myelitis and that is worse in the heat but I guess that is similar to MS but I find any raise in body temperature usually makes my symptoms worse. Cheers, Udkas.
443862 tn?1237999439 If you still have periods then you aren't in menopause yet. The symptoms you describe including the heat, anxiety and sleeping all sound like perimenopause. You should probably see a doctor to make sure there isn't something else going on such as thyroid problems. If it's hormone related you can try different things including daily exercise.
Avatar f tn This has been going on for about 5 months. I have also been unable to tolerate heat, and am easily fatigued. I have a history of closed-head injury, and a hairline fracture at C3 in January, 2010. Neurology work-ups are negative. MS has been ruled out. This is NOT psycho-somatic, although doctors are suggesting this. I am normally a very active outdoors person.
Avatar m tn As an aside, I recently found out that my fatigue was triggered by heat. It was the first warm day here in Michigan and on the way to my MS neuro appointment, I could barely stay awake while driving. I mentioned it to the doc, and she said it is from the heat. Since then I've really cranked up the a/c in the car, always had something cold to drink and now use a sun shade in the car to keep the car cool when it is parked. All of that has helped a lot.
Avatar f tn Hello Im 31 yrs old female. i am having hair loss, fatigue, light sensitvity, diarrhea, paleness, irritabilty, hot and cold intolerance i am very worried as to what these are ?
Avatar f tn I have not been diagnosed yet, but I have many symptoms. I do not have any problems with heat intolerance, I don't think. I am really trying to pin point the times when my symptoms are at their worst and a cause. So far, I have only figured out that when I am tired things are worse. Duh!!
Avatar f tn This feeling would go with me throughout the day, but it would be the worse in the morning and at night. Accompanying this fatigue is heat flashes, heavy heartbeat at times, diarrhea, headaches that would come and go. I developed a mouth sore about 1week after this encounter as well. I havent had unprotected sex since February and took my last STD in June. Is the lethargic feeling, and other symptoms a sign of herpes.
Avatar m tn I continued to play tennis later in the day or on less hot days, but ever since than I am sensitive to heat. Every summer I experience it, I get fatigue, headaches, nausea, and a general wiped out feeling on the hottest days. Even if I am not outside, if it gets very hot, it affects me. There is no way I could ever do sports again in the heat, the brain can be affected.
457961 tn?1217706825 Thank you Heather3418. I found the section on heat and symptoms. I have not really had any of the ones listed just fatigue. I have found that my legs get that "asleep" tingly feeling when I am putting my baby daughter down for the night. I also have the same feelings in both of my arms, in fact they kind of feel that way now. I know I need to get to a new dr but have been lazy about it. I just really don't want to start sticking myself with the needle again.
721523 tn?1331581802 So, everyone that complains about pregnancy fatigue is a light-weight! I am about 6 weeks along and the pregnancy fatigue is a major IMPROVEMINT over the MS version. I am actually doing well. I was able to go out in the heat and help my husband with the lawn-mower repairs without getting over heated! Happy mothers day to ALL WOMEN. It should be a day to celebrate EVERY woman in your life, not just the mothers you know!
1847422 tn?1332867056 When I got home, I was completely and totally wiped out for the better part of an hour. Usually I get the symptoms of heat exhaustion. I was on the verge of heat stroke twice in my college years, and appart form the splitting headache, that is exactly how it feels. I usually don't do anything but go to my car and then inside again after it is 80 or higher. If it is hot enough to cause sweat, it is too hot for me! I went to the St. Patricks parade and it was 82.
