heat

Avatar f tn Dehydration can cause nausea and lead to a vicious cycle where the dehydration and heat do lead to heat exhaustion because the nausea prevents the intake of fluids which just adds to the dehydration and leads to the body getting hotter and hotter.
Avatar m tn You might be losing too many salts due to sweating and on that exhaustion episode might have lost minerals in salts. You have to rehydreate yourself with water and salts. Measure your blood pressure and keep it in normal range and go for testing of your minerals. Take care!
Avatar f tn Hi, It is good that you are feeling better already. Heat-related illness such as heat exhaustion occurs when your body gets too hot. This can be caused by physical exercise or hot weather. It can present with heavy sweating, feeling weak, dizziness, nausea, headache, fast heartbeat and dark-colored urine, which indicates dehydration. It is important that you get out of the heat quickly. Drink plenty of water or other fluids.
Avatar m tn It has really interfered with my ability to think clearly and lucidly. Is it possible that these car naps caused me to have some sort of heat exhaustion damage to my brain? Even if I were extremely exhausted, would my body be alerted out of sleep when the temperature or CO2 level gets too high before any damage to my nervous system begins? I have been to a neurologist several years ago and he says that eventually the headaches will go away.
Avatar m tn My husband suffered heat exhaustion a few days ago. He ran a fever of 101 all night w/ sweating off and on. Thinking he would be in the a/c he went back to work the next day and had to be outside to fix a part on the equipment he was running which set him off to a severe headache, he quit sweating, dry and hot, his muscles were starting to cramp and he said he felt like he could vomit, but never did. He had all the symptoms of a stroke, but didn't lose consciousness.
5609181 tn?1375332372 ve never heard of it causing a fever maybe unless you were severely dehydrated and having heat exhaustion but that wouldn't happen unless you were in the heat without drinking water.
Avatar f tn I'm a golfer playing in Missouri now in temperatures in mid to high 90's and with heat index over 100. We call it "Survival Gold". All sorts of usual symptoms occur to people from thermal (heat) stress leading to heat exhaustion, heat prostration and the potentially fatal "heat stroke". If this only occurs playing golf in hot weather and in the sun and no other times then it likely is a part of heat stress for you.
Avatar f tn A year ago I believe I suffered some heat exhaustion/stroke and since then, when i start getting hot during activities, i get chills up and down my spine, arms and legs. My calf muscle on my left side will tingle/becomes numb, i get dizzy , my face gets red, i can feel my heart pounding in my head and my breathing is rapid but shallow and i have trouble regulating it for a few minutes. It scares me.
Avatar n tn My husband has had a severe headache (mainly at the top of his head) for three days. He did cut trees in the sun so we thought it might be heat exhaustion. He has tried tylenol, aspirin, and decongestants. The only relief has been when he holds a towel with ice on the top of his head. We don't have insurance but now I'm getting worried since the headache hasn't eased up.
Avatar m tn For the last 3 days ive had waves of nausea, extreme headaches, fatigue, dizziness(as if my eyes want to cross, and sometimes feel like fainting), and cold sweats. Some have sayed the first days i had this it may be contributed to heat exhaustion but find it hard to believe days in a row. I have kept myself hydrated and eating well. In full admittance...

Avatar f tn 2 week long severe headache with numbness on left hand side of face, migraines/headaches (usually develops on the left hand side of brain near the front - occasionally at the base of the brain (but very rare), diagnosed with depression and anxiety, vertigo (usually the right ear, some issues of balance pops up occasionally as well). I have issues with heat (had a heat stroke and heat exhaustion when I was 16, ever since I am very sensitive to heat).
Avatar f tn When exposed to the heat I seem to get really sick. I have heat exhaustion symptoms (red skin, headache, muscle weakness and cramps) yet I'm not dehydrated. I sweat very little. (I drink a lot, also pedia-lite and other electrolyte drinks; my urine is practically clear). It gets to the point where it's hard to breathe and only being in the cold and not moving helps (takes a few days to truly recuperate). But...I also have gastritis (delayed gastric emptying).
Avatar m tn heavy sweating, paleness, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea or , fainting. If these condition persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Avatar m tn I ended up with extremely severe heat exhaustion toward the end of the ride, I probably should have went to the ER following my return home. Upon awaking the next day I had a severe, crushing headache with pressure. Four weeks after this incident I have sensations of vertigo when moving my head side to side, up or down, or bouncing my head such as when I run.....it's as if my eyes can't follow along with my head.
Avatar f tn s important to know the signs/symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and steps you can take to prevent them. Medications can also affect the body's ability to regulate temperature, so it might be worth asking your pharmacist some questions on this topic. It was brutal here yesterday with the temperature hitting 101 and the heat index registering 116. Hope everybody stays cool and has a great weekend.
Avatar f tn I don't know about early labor but you could easily get heat exhaustion or heat stroke so take extra care and make sure you are staying hydrated and do anything you can to try and keep yourself cool.

Avatar m tn i was walking in the sun for probably 3 hours it was very hot 46 c this day, suddenly i felt my heart is racing and beating so fast with 3 ectopic beats in very few second, i stopped and put my hand on my heart it was beating too fast and strong, i cooled myself down and drank some fluids it all went back to normal(but the ectopic beats lasted for a week), went to a cardiologist he said i'm fine and it's just heat exhaustion, is it AFib or just palpitations with heat exhaustion?
Avatar f tn I had heat exhaustion yesterday. I had all the classic symptons. What are the after effects of heat exhausttion? Thank you.
927213 tn?1270011366 t know. Did she have any symptoms of heat exhaustion going alongside this weakness in her legs? (Such as: heavy panting/breathing TOO deeply/salivation/distress of any kind?).....[later stages include: dry gums as the heat prostration progresses, weakness, confusion or inattention, vomiting or diarrhea and sometimes bleeding. As the condition progresses towards heat prostration or heat stroke there may be obvious paleness or graying to the gums.
Avatar m tn I have had 2 heart attacks (age 46 and 48) from clots in a tiny artery, branch of a branch of LAD and ever since have issues breathing when it's humid outside. I am working for 1 month in a carpenter shop with no A/C, only fans and it has been as high as 99. I think I've gotten heat exhaustion twice now, missed 2 days of work. This is not my career, only a 1 month learning experience and I'm considering going to half days, early mornings only.
