heat

645800 tn?1466860955 For as long as I can remember I have had a low normal body temperature. It normally run at about 96.3 and since core temperature in usually about 1 degree high this would make it 97.3. I have also read that any core temperature below 97 in considered mild hypothermia. As such it doesn't take much of a lowering of my body temperature for me to start shivering. So it seems reasonable to me that this is the main reason I have always hated cold weather.
Avatar n tn Is there anyone else suffering from severe body heat at night? My husband won't even cuddle with me because I am so hot. He calls me "lava legs" and it's MISERABLE! Help!
Avatar m tn I read about heat exhaustion and heat stroke but those happen during the exercise (if overdone), not an hour after in an air conditioned room and those symptoms are far more severe than what I had. My question is, why do I get a fever and drowsiness only an hour after the exercise but feel completely fine and barely tired (though sweating a lot) during and right after it? I drink a lot of water before and after.
Avatar m tn It has really interfered with my ability to think clearly and lucidly. Is it possible that these car naps caused me to have some sort of heat exhaustion damage to my brain? Even if I were extremely exhausted, would my body be alerted out of sleep when the temperature or CO2 level gets too high before any damage to my nervous system begins? I have been to a neurologist several years ago and he says that eventually the headaches will go away.
1903798 tn?1333905288 I have the same due to chiari and actually it started after my operation.i feel i have heat waves and get really really cold.i heared it quite a lot.i actually do not worry about it...
1453524 tn?1295627371 All day long i am freezing, but when I get into bed at night my body temperature is so hot. My husband complains about it all the time and says how much heat my body throws off. He tells me to move over all the time, (LOL How sad is that) when I ask him to rub my back , he will use lotion, and I notice that when he puts the lotion directly on my back, it sends me through the roof. I yell at him all the time to warm it up first. I definately have that problem .
Avatar f tn I am almost at 7 weeks and I can't maintain the same body temperature. I fluxuate between shivering to having hot flashes quite frequently. Anyone else???
Avatar n tn My husband will tell you that our 22 years of marriage my body always is what the temperature is. It is frustrating. I can not handle the heat at all, and my husband will tell you my body temperature is HOT and I feel faint in the heat, and when I get cold and cant warm up I have to take a hot shower to do so.Let me know if you figure this out. I KNOW it does exsist because I deal with it!
Avatar f tn To me what you are describing whilst exercising (running), wouldn't actually be unexpected, if you are also getting hot and sweating more readily even when your not running. You'd be hitting heat exhaustion/heat stroke territory a lot faster than normal, if your body already isn't cooling through your skin properly, the addition of running would be demanding oxygen goes to the muscles in your legs and away from your skin.
Avatar n tn It's not unusual to have a lowered body temperature. I think we had a poll on average body temps, and they range from 96.7 to 98°... I've heard that people going through flares can have extremely low body temperatures. Personally, when I'm having a flare, or feeling badly, I can have quite low body temperatures - I end up wearing a long-sleeved shirt to keep warn inside the house.
Avatar f tn My husband is one of those people who like to be covered up to the nose, windows closed. I also feel he emits a lot of body heat in bed which doesn't help me. Consequently neither of us is sleeping well. Could this be post menopausal symptoms, ie hot flushes or is it my body temp?
Avatar f tn s important to know the signs/symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and steps you can take to prevent them. Medications can also affect the body's ability to regulate temperature, so it might be worth asking your pharmacist some questions on this topic. It was brutal here yesterday with the temperature hitting 101 and the heat index registering 116. Hope everybody stays cool and has a great weekend.
645800 tn?1466860955 I used to have heat problems - after that bad flare in 2007. It took about five years for my heat intolerance to go away. I still get debilitated if it's more than a day of 80° temps outside. My body temperature is usually around 97.6, sometimes 98° if I'm a little under the weather. Usually I feel the worst around 99° which is classed as low-grade fever.
Avatar f tn s immune system is depleted when they get cold, and a lower body temperature would probably be the reason for the increased exhaustion we feel. I am not a doc but it sounds logical. Also I think that anyone with pain would feel worse in the colder weather. I also feel worse when the seasons change. If it gets warmer I do feel better but if it gets too hot (ha ha, in the Uk? about 3 days a year!) I can't move and feel like I have heatstroke without the fever.
Avatar f tn Dehydration can cause nausea and lead to a vicious cycle where the dehydration and heat do lead to heat exhaustion because the nausea prevents the intake of fluids which just adds to the dehydration and leads to the body getting hotter and hotter.
Avatar f tn Hi about 20 years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, I was also told at that time by an infectious disease doctor that I had EBV. I feel there is something else wrong with me because if I do what the doctors say then I'm in so much pain I can't move, I've had catatonic states, I can not control my body temperature if I get to cold it's like I have hypothermia, and if I get to hot it's like heat exhaustion.
Avatar m tn My body temperature recorded today in the early morning is showing 99.3F. I am having severe cold and cough and my body temperature keeps fluctuating between 96.4F to somewhere in 99F. Is this normal or am I sick?
Avatar n tn It sounds like your dog is suffering from heat exhaustion, so make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water. Heat exhaustion can quickly go to full-blown heat stroke which can be fatal if not treated. Hosing her down with the water hose in the heat of the day or after a walk will help. I recall my boss from several years ago who had an Italian Greyhound who nearly died of heat stroke here in Texas.
402504 tn?1241996524 Out of all my searches for body temperature all I can find is Thyroid problems. Well all my thyroid test are fine. But I am cold most of the time. I live in Houston where it can get extremely hot, but I don't think I have sweated at all this summer. At the beginning of my MS (or whatever this is) experience I was experiencing heat intollerance. But now I am just cold all the time. My symptoms don't get worse in the cold or anything, I am just cold.
1140836 tn?1263571647 I get migraines among other types of headache but notice my body temperature rises during a headache but not to a fever state often. What causes this and if heat is a trigger for me, how can I prevent it?

Avatar m tn t used to this type of weather. Some end up in the hospital with heat stroke, heat exhaustion or dehydration.
