546319 tn?1261636005 You should seek medical attention for possible heat exhaustion or heat stroke - but also remember that your blood pressure may be doing all kinds of crazy things right now... so the doc will definitely check to be sure your blood pressure isn't elevated too.

1464004 tn?1384135733 The body is very sensitive to changes in blood pressure. Special cells in the arteries, called baroreceptors, can sense if blood pressure begins to rise or drop. When the baroreceptors sense a rise or drop in blood pressure, they cause certain responses to occur throughout the body in an attempt to bring the blood pressure back to normal.
Avatar n tn ACE-inhibitors prevent that vasoconstrictor (narrowing of blood vessels and causing higher blood pressure) from being produced, thereby vasodilation (widening of blood vessels so the pressure within the vessel is lower) occurs. Hot weather also dilates blood vessel naturally so when he takes his meds and goes out in the heat, it is important for him to continue to drink a lot of fluids.

Avatar m tn It has really interfered with my ability to think clearly and lucidly. Is it possible that these car naps caused me to have some sort of heat exhaustion damage to my brain? Even if I were extremely exhausted, would my body be alerted out of sleep when the temperature or CO2 level gets too high before any damage to my nervous system begins? I have been to a neurologist several years ago and he says that eventually the headaches will go away.
Avatar m tn Nausea, dizziness and diarrhea are symptoms of heat exhaustion and electrolyte imbalances. Lastly, do you drink alcohol or take drugs recreationally? Suffer from stress or anxiety? All of these are factors that can attribute these symptoms.
Avatar m tn I read about heat exhaustion and heat stroke but those happen during the exercise (if overdone), not an hour after in an air conditioned room and those symptoms are far more severe than what I had. My question is, why do I get a fever and drowsiness only an hour after the exercise but feel completely fine and barely tired (though sweating a lot) during and right after it? I drink a lot of water before and after.
Avatar f tn My mum, who normally has high blood pressure, is suffering for the last three days from fluctuations in her blood pressure. Sometimes it is high (145/80) and sometimes 110/60, and sometimes 120/80. She feels dizzy and faintish. She is a diabetic and has cholesterol. What could be the cause of this?
Avatar f tn My mother is 77 years old. In december we find out that she has high blood pressure, anemic, cholesteral. Doctor put her on medication for all of the problems. The problem she has is that on the lower part of her body from her belly bottom down to her mid thighs she has this warm sensation that gets hot. I mentioned it to the doctor, but she does not seem to be that worried. can you let me know if there are symptoms or what might cause it.
Avatar f tn I am from Arizona and before that I lived in South Carolina so I am used to heat and I know what heat exhaustion feels like and this was like nothing I have experienced before. I had only been outside for about an hour when all of a sudden I got very nauseous and felt a little lightheaded so I went to sit down and within a couple minutes I started seeing white patches in my vision and I could barely see at all.
Avatar m tn I ended up with extremely severe heat exhaustion toward the end of the ride, I probably should have went to the ER following my return home. Upon awaking the next day I had a severe, crushing headache with pressure. Four weeks after this incident I have sensations of vertigo when moving my head side to side, up or down, or bouncing my head such as when I run.....it's as if my eyes can't follow along with my head.
5154295 tn?1372284196 Fainty feeling can be a result of low blood pressure which i have too. My dr says low is always better then high. Difference in bowel movement can be normal. Always drink lots of water no matter what. Its good for heat stroke and in general health too. Drinking lots of water will help with swelling during ur whole pregnancy too. Burning feeling in the lower stomach im not sure.
Avatar m tn I have had 2 heart attacks (age 46 and 48) from clots in a tiny artery, branch of a branch of LAD and ever since have issues breathing when it's humid outside. I am working for 1 month in a carpenter shop with no A/C, only fans and it has been as high as 99. I think I've gotten heat exhaustion twice now, missed 2 days of work. This is not my career, only a 1 month learning experience and I'm considering going to half days, early mornings only.
Avatar n tn It sounds like your dog is suffering from heat exhaustion, so make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water. Heat exhaustion can quickly go to full-blown heat stroke which can be fatal if not treated. Hosing her down with the water hose in the heat of the day or after a walk will help. I recall my boss from several years ago who had an Italian Greyhound who nearly died of heat stroke here in Texas.
Avatar f tn Have any of you other mommies to be been experiencing a lot of exhaustion? I'm 13 weeks and I get so tired so quickly. Even with little things, like walking up a flight of stairs that would have been no problem for me before, leave me gasping for air, feeling dizzy, weak, and like I'm going to collapse. Am I okay?
