338416 tn?1420045702 This doctor posits that the death of oligodendrocytes causes the immune system to send in white blood cells to clean up the mess - the immune system isn't the cause, it's a natural process of the body. He thinks that the oligodendrocytes die because of hypoperfusion - not enough oxygen/blood to the tissue. http://www.facebook.
Avatar f tn The part of the machine you have to push out with came rifght in contact with the bite. There was heat because I was sweating and friction because my legs are rubbing ever time I pressed out on the leg extensions. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
Avatar m tn if they use to test for ms in hot tubs 30 40 years ago and they stopped because it brought on relapse why arnt we told note to have any thing that is heat related exercise, stress, sun ,labor almost any thing.
Avatar f tn I have moved to florida a year and a half ago and since then I have had a series of symptoms that no one can give me an answer on. I have developed an intolorence to heat, unable to sleep through the night, nausea, fatigue, head aches, feeling full after eating a small amount, irritability, anxiety and dry old looking skin. i recently saw my ob/gyn and she ran hormone and thyroid tests along with the usual yearly blood work and all came back normal. She prescribed Xanax to control the anxiety.
Avatar f tn Hello, my name is Sam and I'm 15 years old. Happy new year! I'm posting this because I hope to find people who can relate to my fear of after death. I don't fear dying itself, it's just that I don't know what comes afterward. People have all these theories of what it's like, what you'll see... But that if it's just nothing? What if we die and it's nothing but a black empty place with no sense of smell, touch, thought, sight, or hearing. It's just ...
1094370 tn?1317134825 m just wondering if possibly the reactions people get to heat might actually be a herx reaction and a good sign that the heat is killing off bacteria? I know that Lyme bacteria do not like heat...?? Would be interested to hear others thoughts on this.
Avatar m tn ve developed a side effect recovery theory based on study models and basic biology and was wondering if others experiences come close or differ much. RBC's- hemoglobin recovery took 8 weeks in one study to reach pre treatment levels. In that rib attaches permanently to rbc's with additional lodging in other areas (mainly liver and sex organs) and that an rbc off treatment lifespan is about 90-120 days (down to 65 on tx)....
Avatar f tn Okay so I wanna test this theory I have. During my pregnancies with my 2 boys I had abnormal results on my pap smear however after pregnancy they were normal (so it was obviously just a false result due to pregnancy) however with this pregnancy my pap smear results were normal. I don't know the gender for this baby yet but I have a feeling its a girl. So I've decided to test the theory that girls give normal pap smear results and boys give abnormal.
Avatar n tn just saying I mean research says that the virus can shed assymptomatically and is contagious when there are no visible symptoms...and I understand the theory about heat and friction...but I feel that could include like I mentioned above open pores and microscopic fissures in your skin. Children are to believed to get them from kisses and sharing eating utensils/glassware...there is not much friction involved there.
11079760 tn?1483386130 I second the Spoon Theory reading. Changed my life quite literally and helped a lot of people understand my fatigue. I am not experiencing any MS symptoms after exercise (except muscle fatigue in my weak leg but that happens on a good day even without the gym). My thought would also be that heat is responsible. I rarely break a sweat with my workouts because it is broken up into 10 minute chunks. I have also noticed that I don't seem to be able to speed things up on the cardio machines.
Avatar n tn When my body heats up in any way, I get small red bumps all over my body, and a big red rash all over my stomache with some white bumps in the red rash. They're gone within 30 minutes to an hour. But it drives me crazy. I can't do anything heat related, I can't socialize. Etc. I'm 17, so as you know teenage years are the best for partying, etc. I have one possible theory, which is this green, gunk stuff, that cakes on to my skin (from what, I don't know.
1461073 tn?1308677548 I still continue to question what exactly it is, or why it happens, but may never know the real reasons. Thank you for offering your theory of what it may be related to. Your theory is as good of a possibility as any, and who knows, that may be exactly what is going on when it happens. Have A Nice Night, and God Bless.
695915 tn?1228665952 Some time ago I found this paper about the Auto-immune Theory being fawled and the initial proof why. Has anyone seen any follow up to this? I found the first article about it on; http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/news/Mar2004/FaultyImmuneSystemMayNotBeCauseofMS.html "It is important to bear in mind that this was a study o......f only 12 brains and further work needs to be done to validate the studies findings.
82861 tn?1333453911 Heat stroke can strike very quickly and with no real warning unless you know what to look for. If the National Weather Service issues a heat advisory, heat watch or heat warning, treat your pets the same way you would treat yourself and stay inside with the air conditioner. Limit outdoor time and keep activity to a minimum, particularly in the afternoon hours. Be cool!
Avatar f tn I have never heard of swelling with MS heat intolerance. MS heat intolerance is more like you are a computer and you overheat and everything gets slower or weaker. Like you can hardly stand or walk. Your thinking slows down. People have trouble walking to there car in a hot parking lot. Sometimes they can't get out of a swimming pool. I am not sure what would cause swelling.
Avatar m tn needles to say i know question everything she tells me...and am scared to death...should i be concerned...i recently developed what i would have previously dismissed as just heat rash around my scrotum and anus...while the skin is raw in places i do not see any vescicles and it is not painful just a little sore...again should i be concerned...am i at risk of catching herpes from her if i continue a relationship...
Avatar m tn I am now at day 22 of harvoni and tonight was the 1st time since I started treatment that the dreaded "Death Cramps" as I refer to them returned. Those of you with advanced cirrhosis might know these. They are the cramps in your thighs that make you beg God to make them stop while you scream in agony. The ones in the hands are no fun either. They seem to come when I am laying on the couch watching TV.Does the laying down cause these cramps to come on?
Avatar n tn In seeking a second opinion, I was informed there is now an alternative to the traditional radio frequency ablation, which uses heat to destroy heart tissue. Apparantly it is now possible to freeze the tissue rather than burn it. Does anyone have information about how thee two procedures differ in terms of success rates and risks?
17277382 tn?1455209810 Like so many of you, my painful conditions are not visible to most. I have a long scar but it isn't something most would see unless I pointed it out. But my pain is as real as if I were covered in swollen bruises and gruesome cuts. I go on, every day, smiling, laughing, talking, working, being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, business woman....with pain as my constant companion. My pain management medications make that possible. Without them, the pain would be too much to bear.
