Avatar m tn Although we had no intension of having anal sex, while in the heat of the moment, things got a little out of hand. I was the active (top) partner in brief anal sex. Shortly after being inserted I climaxed while inside. The extent of the anal intercourse was very brief. The activities occurred approximately 10 days ago in Germany. I am curious about: - the risk of transmission for a circumsized active partner during anal sex and how that statistically compares to vaginal intercourse.
Avatar n tn My grandfather died in 1939 when my mom was only a few months old. There is a discussion among his children regarding the cause of death. My grandfather's brother wrote a history in which he stated that my grandfather died in the hospital "following a gall bladder operation. Following the operation he seemed to be making a satisfactory recovery, but subsequently started to hemorrhage.
649848 tn?1534633700 As at least 80% of those captured by Muslim slave traders were calculated to have died before reaching the slave markets, it is believed that the death toll from the 14 centuries of Muslim slave raids into Africa could have been over 112 million. When added to the number of those sold in the slave markets, the total number of African victims of the Trans Saharan and East African slave trade could be significantly higher than 140 million people. . . .
Avatar n tn I'm heterosexual but had a curiosity to try it with a man. In a party I met this guy and after drinks we ended up kissing each other and I gave him a short oral ( about 5 to 10 seconds ). He didn't eyaculated or had precum. He started to give me a massage on my back and suddenly I felt he penetrated my anus. I immediately walked out. That brief penetration was for about 2 - 3 seconds.
Avatar f tn I have moved to florida a year and a half ago and since then I have had a series of symptoms that no one can give me an answer on. I have developed an intolorence to heat, unable to sleep through the night, nausea, fatigue, head aches, feeling full after eating a small amount, irritability, anxiety and dry old looking skin. i recently saw my ob/gyn and she ran hormone and thyroid tests along with the usual yearly blood work and all came back normal. She prescribed Xanax to control the anxiety.
Avatar m tn This seems to differ with the transmission statistics that I see on the internet, which unfortunately seem to vary widely and rarely reference a source that I can read for myself. So let me again pose my question: What is the probability that I would infect a woman if I had unprotected sex with her when I have never had any symptoms? Also, what affect would using a condom plus using an antiviral have on this probability? Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn Let me explain something about "life span" statistics and how we arrive at them. They're calculated on the basis of averages. They survey a sample of people in a particular group (gay men, for example) and look at the average age of death. The result is the average life span for that group. If you consider the number of young men who have died of AIDS over the years, of course there's a higher number of deaths among young, gay men.
Avatar m tn I am aware of the statistics of MSM and herpes previously stated here but i wanted to get information from an expert on these other questions as opposed to random sources on the internet.
Avatar n tn I have had one stent (non-medicated) after a minor heart incident 7 years ago. A recent stress stest showed some new abnormality. I really do not have many if any symptoms - other than some occasional pain (very infrequent) and occasional cold hands. My doctor is recommending the cardiac cath - but he indicates that the statistics don't increase that greatly with having a cath and possible stent insertion. The question is to have a cardiac cath or not? Or is medication sufficient?
82861 tn?1333453911 Heat stroke can strike very quickly and with no real warning unless you know what to look for. If the National Weather Service issues a heat advisory, heat watch or heat warning, treat your pets the same way you would treat yourself and stay inside with the air conditioner. Limit outdoor time and keep activity to a minimum, particularly in the afternoon hours. Be cool!
Avatar f tn I have never heard of swelling with MS heat intolerance. MS heat intolerance is more like you are a computer and you overheat and everything gets slower or weaker. Like you can hardly stand or walk. Your thinking slows down. People have trouble walking to there car in a hot parking lot. Sometimes they can't get out of a swimming pool. I am not sure what would cause swelling.
Avatar f tn I know symptoms are not reliable and I can attribute my anxiety to these symptoms, but I am really scared to death and I have 2 months left in the USA, I am going back to my country in 2 months. My questions are,1) Am I at risk of HIV? 2)Is HIV test warranted? 3) Can I begin sexual relationships with my wife after I go back? I really appreciate your time and value your efforts. Thank you for help and reply. Sincerely Ramesh.
Avatar m tn needles to say i know question everything she tells me...and am scared to death...should i be concerned...i recently developed what i would have previously dismissed as just heat rash around my scrotum and anus...while the skin is raw in places i do not see any vescicles and it is not painful just a little sore...again should i be concerned...am i at risk of catching herpes from her if i continue a relationship...
Avatar m tn Hi Billy, Most MS literature describes and explains all the issues of over heating, statistics put heat sensitivity (which is called Uhthoff's phenomenon) at around 60% and i'd expect neurologists would be mentioning this at some stage with their MS patients. It's unrealistic to not do anything that causes your internal temperature to rise, we need to keep fit, physiotherapy, bath, get Vitamin D from the sun, maintain our homes etc.
