82861 tn?1333453911 Heat stroke can strike very quickly and with no real warning unless you know what to look for. If the National Weather Service issues a heat advisory, heat watch or heat warning, treat your pets the same way you would treat yourself and stay inside with the air conditioner. Limit outdoor time and keep activity to a minimum, particularly in the afternoon hours. Be cool!
Avatar f tn I just had some good news. the last scan did not show much progression and this means i don't have to go for treatment. the cancer seems to be advancing very slowly, thewre is no more fluid in the lung area! After I had an axillary lymph node removed I started to have pains in my shoulders ( it feels like tired shoulders) It feels a little better. But it is stopping me from doing things.
Avatar f tn I read one of a man also leaving the child locked in the car... came to find out that he had googled "how long does it take for animal to dye in,the heat" he was arrested and set a bail bond of 40,000. Some people are just sick twisted..
Avatar f tn I have moved to florida a year and a half ago and since then I have had a series of symptoms that no one can give me an answer on. I have developed an intolorence to heat, unable to sleep through the night, nausea, fatigue, head aches, feeling full after eating a small amount, irritability, anxiety and dry old looking skin. i recently saw my ob/gyn and she ran hormone and thyroid tests along with the usual yearly blood work and all came back normal. She prescribed Xanax to control the anxiety.
Avatar f tn I just wanted to remind everyone to be sure to carry your inhaler on you at all times, especially in the widespread heat wave. I heard on the news about a young person who dies swimming because they had an asthma attack. They were swimming in a like or river. This heat is hard on anyone, but those with chronic illness, like asthma, are much more suseptible to it. Stay safe, hydrated, and CARRY your inhaler with you. How are you coping with the heat and what are you temps?
Avatar f tn So I am just curious, why is heat such an enemy of mine now with MS? I see people posting about wearing freezer vest (not sure what they are called) and I'm wondering at what point does one with MS get to where you have to wear that? Now I do understand the fact that you want to try to maintain a normal core temperature at all time but where do you draw that line? Does it depend on how long you are out in the heat?
Avatar f tn I knew my FSH levels were a fertility death sentence but I am hoping that he will consider further testing for ovarian reserve and a CCCT. I still gotta have hope.
Avatar f tn seems to be dying a slow death. I dont have the money to take him to another vet. Can someone PLEASE tell me what to do. Is there anything I can do at home.
Avatar f tn Its all we are seeing on the news, Ive been to a lot of those towns myself and know the area well and the sheer destruction is impossible to comprehend - there are stories which rip the heart out coming in; entire families burned to death in their cars trying to escape, firestorms pushed by 45 celsius temps and 100km an hour winds roaring like living animals down the mountain sides; firefighters reported houses being consumed in under 2 minutes as the fire shredded entire townships like beast.
328799 tn?1276565732 Being nervous about death is a very common worry in my opinion, but the odds of you having a serious problem are EXTREMELY low, especially at your age. In my experience with anxiety, it was my Grandfather's death that triggered my fear of death and kickstarted my experience with this. Be careful what you read on the internet; there is so much information out there and it can be hard to filter; and I don't think you have heard the end of the story with Britney Murphy...
Avatar m tn Currently being punished from the man upstairs for having a 3 month affair on my wife of 25 years with my old high school sweetheart (Facebook mistake) I moved in with her so this does not effect my wifes health in which i had no contact with during affair (Thankfully) Anyhow we met May 1 2016 and on June 20th I had a temp. of 104.7 that dropped me on the job with intense heat outdoors involved, which brought me to the ER. Avatar f tn I have been experiencing some sharp sudden pains in my head. It's always in the same stop. The front left hand side. It feels almost like a brain freeze and when it happens I have to actually stop whatever I am doing let the pain pass and then I can continue my task. When I get this pain it is also accompanied by a great pressure. I have a dull headache almost everyday and I am afraid to go get this checked out.
406107 tn?1219012600 Mamma always quoted, "if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all". I've been sooo frustrated and snively that I thought it best that I just stay in my room and absorb my brain with TV peoples problems. TV people don't know that I'm aware of their pain and suffering, nor rejoicing in their happiness. BTW, How 'bout that Chris Phelps?? 8 for 8. If anyone feels strong enough to hear my saga, I'll post it in my journal.
382218 tn?1341181487 Good questions. I always try to make it clear that I am heat sensitive but in a different way: It's not as though my symptoms get worse, I just can't tolerate temperatures that others find comfortable. For me it's only heat, not chill. It started about 3 years ago. Last appointment I phrased it that way again, but when I requested and got the report, I saw the notation that I was heat sensitive, period. Oh well.
Avatar f tn Hi, we haven't seen much of you. I'm gald you haven't had to suffer the problems with heat. But, the bad news is that "anyone" with MS is at risk for severe side effects if they get overheated. The hottubs and sauna are worst, but it is quite possible to become overheated sunbathing on a hot day or exercising in the heat. You run a risk of bringing on some bad symptoms if you let your body temperature rise much, even if you are not having much in the way of symptoms.
Avatar f tn I live in NW Ohio and hate it when its hot like that (which we do get a lot of heat and humidity in the summer) Only in the last week or so has it finally cooled down to 40's at night and 68- low 70's for highs...not complaining about that at all...but i do like the winter too.
Avatar f tn I have never heard of swelling with MS heat intolerance. MS heat intolerance is more like you are a computer and you overheat and everything gets slower or weaker. Like you can hardly stand or walk. Your thinking slows down. People have trouble walking to there car in a hot parking lot. Sometimes they can't get out of a swimming pool. I am not sure what would cause swelling.
Avatar m tn needles to say i know question everything she tells me...and am scared to death...should i be concerned...i recently developed what i would have previously dismissed as just heat rash around my scrotum and anus...while the skin is raw in places i do not see any vescicles and it is not painful just a little sore...again should i be concerned...am i at risk of catching herpes from her if i continue a relationship...
