Avatar n tn ok so I am a 15 going on 16 year old and my cramps have been so severe for my last 4 periods. They wake me up at night and if I don't take 3 Advil (doctor prescribed) every 4 hours than I am in pain for the rest of the day. does any one have any advice ? I've tried all different kinds of methods and have two heat pads and nothing is helping. thank you so much for the help!
Avatar n tn The doctor put me on bed rest with alternating heat and cold. She needs to move. I have so much to do and the hubby can only take off so much work. Any one else have back problems like this?
Avatar f tn I'm in strict bed rest but my church is having a pick nick today will I be fine if I go.?
Avatar n tn I really find plain old ibuprofen to be the best for cramps. I take the max dose of 800 mg. overall, if you hydrate and drink extra water leading up to it, exercise on a regular basis and eat well, they do seem to be less for me. Some women do like a heating pad. And we have times in our life in which cramps are worse than others so don't think this has to be the rest of your life having horrible cramps! Hang in there.
Avatar f tn Heat press does help with cramps just not to hot. i had them really bad my first 6 weeks and i found snuggling up with a heat pack and a comfy pillow helped.
Avatar f tn Im also 5 weeks and having the same symptoms cramps, also gassy, & the runs (tmi). Its all normal from what I hear.
Avatar f tn I work in a small town pharmacy and looked forward to the daily walk to the bank to do the store banking. Now just the few blocks in the heat can wipe me out for the rest of the day. I find most of the symptoms will subside after I'm back in the air but my brain goes to mush, and the fatigue sticks around for a good part if not for the rest of the day. I hate it! I was never much for the colder weather but at least I can function in it.
Avatar f tn My first child, i had all those symptoms, in 1995 of july he had got a high record of it being 104 degrees, in wisconsin. but the few days b4 that was in high 90's. My place did not have air conditioner. I went to hospital they sent me home, i get home and have all those pains, the HEAT was making me feel terrible and everytime i got to hospital and cooled off pain went away. I thought i was gona die in my small apartment so on the 13th i went to hospital and begged them to induce me lol.
1464004 tn?1384135733 Honestly, I think blood pressure drops due to dilated vessels in hot weather. I wrote the other day about Baroreceptors, they're tissue that measures the stretching of the vessels in key areas. One article said if your blood pressure rises too much, your heart slows down trying to balance the pressure, conversely, if it drops, your heart speeds up to try to maintain the pressure. In the past, I've been coming down with a cold, early stages, getting a lot more ectopics than usual.
Avatar f tn Can you use heat pads?

Avatar f tn Anyone else suffering in this heat?? I'm 34 weeks with swolen feet and I'm hoping it's from the weather. Don't have swolen hands or any other symptoms. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn These are secondary to vigorous use of muscles affected and fatigue, rest or nighttime cramps, dehydration, low calcium, potassium and magnesium in body. Sometime claudicating pain in calves due to decreased blood supply can mimic a cramp. You could try stretching the muscle, stand up and walk about. Try to bend the ankle by pulling toes towards head while lying still with legs straight. Gentle massaging of the muscle and heat application helps.
1503777 tn?1289497132 We are just thankfull that he can sleep and get rest at night as this is very tiring during daytime. These spasms and cramps are absolutely involuntary. Sometime it looks like his toes are playing piano and the muscle at the bottom of his foot is stone hard. How can we find out what the cause is and how can we maybe get in touch with someone who has the same symptons.
Avatar f tn I'm four weeks pregnant and my doctor appointment isn't for another couple of weeks. I've been using a heat pad for my cramping because it's so bad. Does anyone know if that's OK?
Avatar n tn So I been having these stomache cramps real I've tried tyleon everything in it's still hurts bad were I can't sleep or anything.. do anyone know the feeling???
Avatar f tn Take a warm bath. That helps with cramps. Also invest in a heating pad.,i had terrible terrible period like cramps for months! Then my hubby got me a heating pad and i love it! 10452875 tn?1436484351 I'm a ftm and I can't really tell for sure if what I'm having are Braxton Hicks. I start to get all clammy first then its almost like my stomach feels extremely heavy and it starts to feel really uncomfortable and my back will hurt even more than normal. It's really irregular when it happens and lasts for a minute or two at a time. It usually only does it when I'm at work and in the heat and the only way to help it is to rest.
Avatar f tn s normal prego lady stuff. Drinking water, rest, herbal tea, a heat pad and a Tylenol can all help. Really painful cramps in the front of your lower abs -- like you can't quite stand up or see straight -- can be a bad sign, especially if they come with fever or severe nausea. It doesn't hurt to check in with your doc if you're not sure, and definitely watch out for bleeding or passing tissue.
Avatar n tn I just got my period like right now and the cramps are already so bad i dont know what to do.
Avatar f tn Is it possible for me to go to the emergency for pelvic pain, and get put on bed rest? I can't even walk or be sitting for a long period of time, my work environment is one hour away from home and I'm sitting in an office all day 8am-5pm.
Avatar n tn Been having horrible cramps in the sides and front of my shins, not charley horses in the back, but ones you can really rub out of walk off. They happen overnight, every hour and a half or so, and just have to be patient and let them work themselves out. I've been dealing with this for a month now! I miss sleep. :-( tried all the home remedies. Been scanned for clots twice. Anyone else experiencing these that might have a suggestion on things to try?
1840402 tn?1355432565 Seem to be having them every morning and makes my calves so tight and sore for rest of day.. My midwife suggested drinking more water.. Apparently its the heat taking salt causing them.. Im 37+1. Apart from that just want my lilman out seem to be sooo moody lately and every movement he makes hurts now lol. Hows all the mummas coping now its near the end??
Avatar n tn Hi there, There are many causes of calf muscle pain. Muscle fatigue, heat, or dehydration, muscle cramps are the common causes. Blood clots are more likely to develop in people who are inactive for long periods, those who are overweight and who smoke. In deep vein thrombosis there are leg pains, leg tenderness, increased warmth and skin color changes may be seen. If you are doubtful discuss it with your doctor. X-rays to show veins (venography) in the legs and Doppler ultrasound may be helpful.
