Heat bumps from sun

Common Questions and Answers about Heat bumps from sun

heat

Avatar m tn Hi All, I seem to have developed some kind of heat or sun rash that i experience every time i go overseas. It normally appears within 15 minutes of exposure to sun. I've tried all different types of sunscreens that are meant to be very friendly with no luck. Once it's appeared pretty much nothing will calm it down including air con, antihystamines or steroid creams (which i don't like using).
250701 tn?1320974765 For me it wasn't just the sun, but the combination of heat, sun and sweating that turned the rash into an ugly monster. Once it flares it's a bugger to calm back down. If you have any rash issues now, be very careful. If not, maybe try very short exposures and see - if you are willing to take the risk. Otherwise, wait until the end of treatment to soak up some rays.
Avatar f tn I believe my skin is extra sensitive to the heat because if I go out in the sun and my rash is covered, it will flare up due to heat rather sun exposure. Also, the same bumps appear every time. This past vacation, my right thigh got the worst of it. My left thigh wasn't as bad and then my core and upper arms got the rash pretty bad too. It's so frustrating. Why does this happen and why now?! My whole life I've been out in the heat and sun......
Avatar m tn I have never heard her say that sunblock makes any difference -- in her case anyway, it seems to be from the heat on the skin. Talk to your doctor. In the meantime, wear sleeves and a hat.
Avatar f tn I have never had heat rash before, and have been out in the sun plenty in my lifetime...I went on vacation in Feb and after a week on the beach I ended up getting a nasty heat rash on my stomach, chest and arms. It eventually went away, but it was strange for me to get it. Then just this past week, I was out in the sun for the day and got another bad heat rash on my arms? What's going on? The only thing that is different is that I've been on birth control pills for the past 3 years.
Avatar f tn This may seem a bit odd however, whenever I am exposed to the sun/heat I feel as though I retain the heat -- it almost feels as if my skin heats up and takes a long time to cool down even in air conditioning. I am on interferon, ribavirin and procrit.
Avatar f tn Being i was pretty much an outdoor person i was lucky the sun didn't cause me any problems but the heat sure got to me... As for tanning, good luck. Always tan easy but not on these meds. Not sure why but 3 different summers of treating and just wouldn't tan...
1321692 tn?1304298071 It sounds like heat bumps, make sure she is in the shade as she could be suffering from heat stress and its not good to let her have sun glaring down on her.If it happens again hose her down or put her in the shower and run cold water over her until the heat has gone. If its not that it could be an allergic reaction to a insect sting ! and it might be an idea to have some antihistermine on hand as if she gets bitten on the face it could swell up and cut her air off.
Avatar f tn I was told that our bodies change with age. I think its from the heat of the sun. Try wearing a higher spf than you normally do and see what happens. if it happens again you might want to go and see a different dermatologist.
Avatar m tn Hi, From last few days, I have been experiencing some itchy sensation across the body with tiny red spots/bumps on the hands and chest. This happens immediately after exposure to sun/heat for sometime and then subsides in 15-20 minutes. In this period of time, there is kind of irritation and itchy sensation across the body including scalp. I am 29, do not have any known allergies (food, cosmetics) and I am used to playing outdoor sport under the sun.
Avatar n tn Recently I was out in the sun and I noticed that little red bumps had appeared all over my arms. My mom thought it was a heat rash but i looked that up and none of the sites said anything about them being on arms. I stayed inside mostly the next day and then were gone. Then today I went to the beach and after being out a while i noticed that they were all over my arms, front and back, on the tops of my hands, all over my legs front and back and also on the top of my feet.
Avatar n tn Every summer after I get a slight tan I get these white little bumps lighter than my current skin color as well as a little rough. It doesn't itch at all. Not sure what I should use or if it is a fungus from the sun, I use sunscreen and can't seem to figure it out. Usually it is just around my stomach and mid back. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn Symptoms follow any stimulus to sweat such as exercise (sometimes called exercise-induced urticaria), heat from the sun (which could also indicate solar urticaria), saunas, hot showers (reaction to water can also indicate water urticaria). The affected area will often feel warm and can be extremely itchy or exhibit a burning sensation. Typically the rash occurs on the upper trunk and the arms but can appear on other parts of the body.
1227909 tn?1267853479 Not everybody has the same problem. If you break out in itchy bumps from the sun on treatment, it is not hard to see that you will not tolerate the sun on treatment.
Avatar f tn I was recently in a rehab that was in a county jail. I was there for 6 months, and during this entire stay from Nov. 7 thru May 5, 2008 I did not see outside nor did I get to go outside. Now that I've been home and working outside I get this terrible rash on my arms, chest and back of my neck from the sun. I didn't over do it by staying out in the sun to long . I'm wondering if this is caused from no sun light for 6 months straight?
Avatar n tn We live in southern California. We as a family have gone for a vacation to Florida last weekend. My toddler is now 28 months. He had no allergies from birth. But after coming from vacation, I've noticed few red patches or rashes like on his lower rib part, within a day it is spreading. Now I can see the same in his chest, on his back and some on his face too. Is it any sun damage or any other allergic blisters. I'm not sure whether it is itchy...
Avatar n tn It's a problem which quite a few women seem to get more than men. It is a heat rash where your body cannot expel the sweat from the glands properly - it is brought on by the sun.
Avatar m tn They went away yesterday, but this morning I woke up and saw the same little red bumps on my right elbow. What could these be from. I asked my mom and she said it could be from heat rash. We did get a lot of sun and nice weather on the march break, and I was outside. If anyone could help me at all it would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I have been getting a small pimpular rash every time I have even limited sun exposure. It covers a small area but there are about 15 little bumps. I am a sqeezer so I always squeeze them and I get a little burst of fluid with each one. I always use sunscreen but I still get a rash. It is best described as small pinpoint bumps that are fluid filled and basically leave a red patch once they have erupted.
Avatar f tn But I am thinking this might be an allergic reaction to something else, maybe the sunscreen, the sun, heat? In the past it takes two weeks for these bumps to stop forming, mostly because it keeps spreading and the bumps are very close together. It starts to heal as soon as new ones start, but never in the same place it originated from, usually spread up my body or down it, but never beyond my chest.
Avatar n tn Every time I am out in the sun for a period of time especially sunbathing I always break out into a rash. It itches like crazy and I get bumps all over of course where ever the sun was exposed to. I like laying out and try to get some color cause my skin is so pale but fair. How can I lay out in the sun without worrying about a bad rash later. Any remedies to do before or after being in the sun?
