I love zantac! With my first i got heartburn after EVERYTHING. I couldnt even drink water without getting heartburn. Zantac stopped most of it i then stopped taking 20 tums a day anfld only needed them maybe once every few days (not at all if i remembered to take my zantac first thing in the morning and at night!

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

pepto is not safe. it has bismuth in it and that's not good for the baby.

My dr says zantac is ok to take...I had a pre-existing stomach problem before I got pregnant, and the zantac works great!

35wks my heartburn is so bad I can not eat or drink. I have tried tums and maloxx nothing has helped. I go back to the dr Friday. Even sleeping I get heartburn and I sleep proprietary up. I feel like vomiting it is so bad. I also have been getting pressure in my pelvic area. I also get like lower back spasms but if I change positions it goes away.

You can take Zantac before you get heartburn. Tums is typically after it has set in. To be on the comfortable side take Zantac prior to eating, look closely at what you are eating to cause the acid buildup i.e. orange juice, tomatoes and remove it from your diet, and adjust your sleeping to a more upright position.

Im 32weeks today and suffering extreme heartburn anyone know any remedies????

I have heartburn everyday everytume I eat I feel like I'm drowning and sometimes at night I throw up in my mouth.

I was that way with my first ..I had to talk to my doctor and he gave me a nausea medicine and told me to take that with tums and if the tums didn't work he'd prescribe zantac or something ...if its that bad give them a call they may be able to call something in for you. You can also try the extra strength tums that's what I have to do with this baby ....
