Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn yoga

heartburn

Avatar f tn You could try a heartburn tea before you go to bed. It helps some. Also yoga.
Avatar f tn YOGA!! No pills or doctors--YOGA. I was waking up every night at 12:30 for 4 days with upper abdominal pain and I couldn't go back to sleep until the pain subsided after 2-3 hours. It was not acid reflux or GERD since I took a heartburn pill and it did nothing. I shared with this a co-worker who experienced the same problem and figured she was getting gas lodged in the wrong parts of her body so she did gas relieving yoga poses when she was in pain.
Avatar f tn After a day or two of taking the PPI, after doing some Yoga poses for indigestion (that turned out to cause heartburn), my heartburns started. Initially milder (pain level 3/10). I also took antacids which helped. But I've been taking the PPI for 7 days now and it seems like the heartburn is getting worse (today for a short while the pain was around 5 or 6/10) and the antacid is less effective. The indigestion symptoms also remain.

Avatar f tn Is beginner yoga safe while pregnant? Or would I have to do yoga for pregnant women?
Avatar f tn im tring yoga, but after a couple days i am ready to quit from the pain. does it get better or should i quit.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn Thanks! Do you all take regular yoga or prenatal ? I already joined a gym and they have yoga classes a few days a week but not prenatal yoga.
Avatar n tn i want to ask that if yoga therapy is the best way of losing weight.
Avatar f tn Everyone loves to tell you how they got their babies to come out with their tricks. If you're up for it, try em out. I didn't want to go the route of eating stuff that I didn't want to just to meet my baby that will be with me soon enough anyway. All I do is walk a lot and sit on my yoga ball. I'm a week overdue and being induced tomorrow. Do I regret not trying the other things? No...
Avatar n tn I'm two days away from my due date and I feel like little man is never going to come out. I've been walking, bouncing on my yoga ball, spicy food, sex, and drinking water. I've had a few Braxton hicks contractions and I lost about a half dollar size of plug over the week (it was still pretty clear though) and there is pressure on my cervix from his head. Is there anything else? This is my first baby and I'm so over the heartburn, nausea, feeling like a beached whale, etc.
Avatar f tn Same due date with a boy and have only gained 4 pounds so far. Dr recommends me to gain 35-40 before this pregnancy is over. My most frequent symptom is heartburn!
Avatar f tn My doc said I could do tums, pepcid.. Yoga instructor says to try warm lemon water in the morning and evenings.
7882296 tn?1405391067 Idk how true that is though. Hot cheetos are probably just gonna give you a really bad case of heartburn lol.
Avatar n tn Try squats or, if you have one, bouncing on a yoga/birth ball. I've heard that works. Or even some light yoga to 'get the womb open' and stretch the muscles and tendons before actual labor. Which I guess is good to do even if you're already labor to help the delivery so easier. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn Heartburn/GERD can be a symptom of gastroparesis, so don't discount it. And if you're off your Omeprazole, do you get any nausea? A lot of people with Gastroparesis don't get many of the symptoms. In fact, the most common symptom is bloating. If I were to put money on anything I'd say that the gastroparesis might be caused by the hypothyroidism. (It's not an uncommon association.) An adjustment to these meds may show improvement in the condition.
Avatar f tn m in pain, have the worst heartburn ever, my crouch and butt hurts, I feel so huge.... Gosh why does it have to be this way. I know my lil dude is so much better off growing inside tell he's ready but I just want to hold him. I wanna see my baby already. I'm 35 weeks and feels like this last months will never get here. 1900462 tn?1352775302 When did you guys start your prenatal yoga classes? Is it better to start your yoga as soon as you can so you can strengthen your pelvic muscles for labor later on or what? I was thinking it would be better to do it earlier and continue throughout the pregnancy but idk. What do you guys think?
