heartburn while on prednisone

I am starting not the last 9 weeks of the 48 weeks treatement of Peg + Riba. During the last 2 months and still now I suffer from high fever (around 100.76 Fahrenheit), I take daily around 4-5 tablets of Paracetamol and alike to lower the temperature, It is very difficult.

Anyone heard of people treating while on lower dose prednisone? I have read the studies done of people treated with prednisone prior to treatment which wasn't great outcome wise.

Last week my neuro put me on a 3 day dose of Prednisone to hopefully offset the flare I was in the middle of. He put me on 3 days of oral pred, quite a huge dose (25 pills per day, each being 50 mg). I took my three days worth of pills hoping I would see a difference, but have yet to feel any better. In fact I am worse and I am wondering if I should see a physician about my symtoms. Weight gain, no energy, facial swelling, horrible fog, painful skin on my neck and shoulders.

I had severe sinus problems and only Prednisone helped. It is not recommended to use Prednisone while on Tx but if you do according with doc instructions it is ok. Based on my experience I would not use Saline water during Tx because it dehydrate and this is the opoosite of what you need on Tx. I recommend to look for some of Wet Gel or Wet Spray that just make the nose and the sinus more wet. Hope I helped.

I just got put on prednisone for my asthma after trying other things for 4 days. I know I didn't really have a choice as the doctor put it oxygen is the most important thing for my baby and he made sure it was a last resort to go on. Just wondering if anyone else has had to take it before while pregnant? Also this not my first time having to take it just first time since I am pregnant.

About a year and a half ago, I had a severe asthma episode and coschondrits for the first time. I was put on a 2 week coarse of Prednisone along with ibuprofen. By the end I had developed an issue swallowing pills. Even my small thyroid ones felt like they got stuck. Then it progressed to coughing up small hard bits of food, severe reflux, etc. After too much testing, the problem mostly resolved except for lingering occasional esophageal spasms and the thought that some was just hypersesivity.

I notices mine drop around 30w, I noticed in the mirror my tummy looked lower and I stopped getting heartburn! My heartburn so bad before I couldn't even drink water without getting it!

Hello (new to forum - thank you in advance). 39 year old Male. Active. Computer Software Sales. I have left arm pain, weakness, numbness for approx 1 month. Woke up at night with severe left arm pain as well as pectoral & tricep muscle spasms (thought I was having cardiac symptoms). Went to FP (who is a DO) diagnosed with cervicalgia. X-ray showed c3-c4 disease (R>L). Put on prednisone & Vicoden ES.

I was put on prednisone for wheezing. I was coughing for a while before I went to my dr's. She put me on it to help my lungs. I took it for 1 day. Funny thing is I don't remember much before. I know i just ate regularly like i usually did. then it just started after maybe 4-5 days after finishing the amoxicillian (spelling). The pain doesn't feel like gas. It is there from morning till night. Like tightening of knot feeling. I go next Wednesday for an endoscopy.

( A warm rag on ur forehead could probably help ur fever and even a headache. If ur google natural ways to get over sinus headaches or fevers while pregnant u should find a lot of suggestions. Just giving u different options since ur doctor's not helping.

my other dr was asking for test and I just ignored him... anyway.. He put me on prednisone 20mg. for a week. Im filling better!! should I stop taking them? I would hate to get sick again... not one to like to take pills and omg.. the side effects.... I looked them up with pregnancies. My dr did tell me being in the third trimester for me not to worry... they will be safe. but... you just cant help but worry and he is a new dr. what do you guys thing?

I think it's pregnancy related too.....I'm so congested it's riduclous. My nose is stuffy and I pretty much get small nose bleeds. I've also taken up to snoring at night and my voice is a bit raspy. I have a feeling because of the drainage and/or sleeping with my mouth opened. I've been having heartburn issues too....Dr prescribed Prevacid. I don't take it eveyday as indicated on the directions, but on the days I'm getting heartburn and it really helps a lot.

I was taking NSAID's for a shoulder injury, which in turn led to me finding out that I am allergic to them, so I was taken off of them. I was then on prednisone to help knock the NSAID's out of my system. After getting off prednisone, I still was not feeling 100%, so I went to a different allergist. I was tested for common food allergens and for h pylori.

t swelling and foamy urine. Now that I have a diagnosis, I am on pill forms of Prednisone every other day and Cyclosporine 2x every day. I have been on the meds for over 1 1/2 weeks and noticed that the foamy urine amount has doubled, my face swells unbelievably, and walking is difficult, as the bottom of my feet and ankles cause me severe pain. I checked with my Nephrologist and she states that it will take a little while for my body to adjust to the medicine.

I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.

With ms I noticed one of you had mentioned it sometimes has to get worse before it gets better........ I went on a treatment of prednisone for 1 month. In that time all of my symptoms had worsened and magnified while on steriods..... if this was ms would it take a whole month of getting a lot worse before getting better on prednisone???? Something about my mri showing t2 lesions... is that ms?

During the scope, my esophagus was torn and the MD was unable to view my entire esophagus. I went in for a second scope after my esophagus rested and a biopsy was taken (and I recieved another small tear). It was determined that I have Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EE).

Yes, but I also think it may be because I had strep throat and the prednisone I was on for the swelling... dont know but didnt start until this week and I know Im not pregnant.

You have more blood volume while pregnant so your heart has to work harder. If the chest pains have you in tears I would call your doctor and let them know. Sometimes heartburn will mimic chest pain also, it could be a lot of things.
