heartburn vs acid reflux

@nannewmom actually for me the Oj calms the acid down, (of all people, my grandfather suggested it) and I was just thinking the other day how the best stock to buy into is Tums. Some days it's like popping them like candy. I'll absolutely try ice water instead of always room temp. That maybe the fix! @2ndtimemoma927 I will have to check into the coconut water. I've tried it in the past, and it's just to sweet for me. Maybe I'll get a different brand or something.

I get acid reflux sometimes but I never had heartburn. Can anyone tell me the reason why? Hopefully I'm not alone. I'm at the end of my second trimester so I will be beginning my third trimester this Saturday.

This is tmi but I've been having bad acid reflux for the past two days...it starts off as terrible heartburn then I throw up a little in my mouth...the burning sensation is horrible :/.....I have pills for heartburn but right now they aren't helping....any advice? Remedies?

I've seen comments with all kinds of opinions comparing the effectiveness of different forms of Prilosec (generic name omeprazole). But that are usually prescription brand-vs-generic, or OTC (non-prescription) brand-vs-generic. What I am looking for is real-life experiences from people who have moved from PRILOSEC OTC to GENERIC RX OMEPRAZOLE, or vice versa. I've been taking PRILOSEC OTC (non-prescription) for quite awhile, after years on the original prescription brand Prilosec.

I also had it extremely bad and I thought dairy was supposed to help and as I see it did for some woman but heartburn and acid reflux go hand in hand. Dairy will help with heartburn but make acid reflux worse. I learned after a month or so lol I cut out a good portion of it especially near bedtime. My advise is to look up acid foods and stay clear of them as much as possible. Good luck!!!!

Is acid reflux the same as heartburn ? I don't get heartburn. Believe I only had it once through this pregnancy but I've had acid reflux a lot through out my entire pregnancy.

Never had heartburn atall or acid reflux in my life before this week (33 weeks.) It is excruciating! Does anyone have any tips on this? Dying slowly from the inside.

Can Acid Reflux be a direct or indirect cause of Hypersalivation? I stopped taking Acihpex about a month ago because I concluded the two week Triple Therapy for H. Pylori(I am now negative for H. Pylori). Also, I have not had heartburn for over two months. I have suffered from Hypersalivation for about three months. I went to a ENT today and he did a VideoStroboscope on my throat. He feels my saliva is rather bubbly and the cause is possibly related to acid reflux.

I prefer Mylanta liquid over Tums for heartburn, etc. If it's true acid reflux your doctor or pharmacist will have a list of safe meds that they recommend based on your symptoms and frequency.

Im a coffee addict, 5-6 cups a day, so that predisposes me to Acid reflux. I didnt know i was prego that time, so i told her i wasnt, when she asked me about it. I was scheduled for a stress echo test after but was not able to have it sinceci disxovered i was preg.. Since then i havent felt any chest/burning pain. But i still informed my OB about it.

Any way ENT said I have acid reflux sending me for a barrium swallow follow up with a gastro dr. With this I have chest pain and middle back pain. Foods really donot bother me I watch what I eat.

I have never had acid reflux, prior to my other issues but now have acid reflux, esophageal spasms and hypersensitive esophagus. I am also scheduled to have my gallbladder removed because of cholecystitis. all of the reflux/esophagus issues began with the burning in my left arm & dizziness almost 3 years ago. I am possible MS too.
