Since the attack I quit smoking and have been taking these drugs, but have been unwell almost everyday, suffering heartburn or chest contractions or some other stomach or chest pains or depression. As the months pass by I began to suspect and now believe that these problems are side effects of the drugs. I visited many doctors and had various checks and echos and analysis and was told that I am ok and was advised not to take alternative medicines!
one day i gone for blood test and reported reactive for VDRL but they told me to go for test again because it may give false indications. so i gone to test for VDRL again with kit test and found reactive again. i visited doctor and he ask me for symptoms on penis but there was no symptoms on penis. he given me medicine of 1 week. after 1 week i retested and found my blood test NON-REACTIVE for VDRL.I gone for again it was NON reactive again and syphilis found negative.
For nearly three years before I had my ablation, I used to get really bad heartburn at least 3-4 times a week.....so bad that it used to wake me out of a sound sleep and I'd be rummaging in the medicine cabinet for antacids around 2-3 am.

which over-the-counter antacid/heartburn medicine worked best for you?? I get it pretty often, and im making chili for dinner so i know im really gunna need something to help with it tonight. :) I'm 28 weeks and never had any issues with acid reflex or heartburn till a few weeks ago and now some night its gets so bad that it keeps me up at night. I REALLY dont want to take any medicine during my pregnancy, but this is something i just cant solve myself. tried everything already.

Anyway I was wondering if heartburn could come even without eating anything (other than Cokes) several hours before the symptoms begin and could last (in spurts) for as long as it has without any relief. I also cannot pinpoint what makes the pain better or worse, as it seems to be able come on if I am sitting, lying down or standing (though less when standing).
I am 22, quite a bit overweight, and started my second year of law school this week.
