Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn treatment review

heartburn

Avatar f tn My understanding of the review is that it will be used as a guide to treatment. I have limited confidence in health professionals so it is hard to say which way it is likely to go. Ultimately I would like decent, accessible therapy that will help me move forward in a timely way. Therapy that is sensitive and respectful -all that basic stuff that people seemingly don't know how to apply to 'difficult or different' patients. Therapy that is containing and has limits, etc.
Avatar m tn Look for AsianMale1985, his treatment profile suits yours. When you came to know, was your HbeAg -? It is highly unlikely to get back to + when you had - (seroconverted). Don't stress it out, stress reduce immune strength and you can only fight this virus with immune strength. Sleep early at night, eat lots of fruits n veggies, and exercise 20-30 mins. everyday will get your immune strength in its prime. Oh and make sure you do Fibroscan twice a year, 6 months apart.
Avatar f tn I had a low ejection fraction and was having attacks followed by constant heartburn. Post surgery I still have the constant heartburn. Nothing makes it better. I have tried, dexalant, prilosec, zantac, tagament. I just started yesterday with green stools. No diarrhea but softer bright green stools. The gall bladder attacks have subsided but I feel like I can't eat anything without being in pain from the heartburn. It is severe!
Avatar n tn I am living in the UK and receiving National Health Service (NHS) treatment. I posted in early February after I had been for a mammogram and ultrasound for a large lump in right breast. I had numerous views taken at the time including magnification. I was told that I had several large cysts and a possible fibroadenoma. Calcifications were also present. As I had very little knowledge at the time, I did not even ask if they were macro or micro.
Avatar f tn Tums and Maalox are typically the first line over-the-counter medications you can try to relieve heartburn while pregnant. You may find the liquid to be more effective than the tablets as the liquid can also coat your esophagus (between your throat and stomach). Always be certain to inform your doctor of any medications you take (prescription and over-the-counter), and if these treatments have not been effective you should contact your doctor to review next steps.

Avatar m tn 2 years ago I was treated for Hep C with interferon injections wkly and riboviron 2 x per day for 6 months. I was undetectable after 4 months but relapsed soon after the treatment ended. Now I just learned that I have developed cirrhosis and my doctor wants me to do the exact treatment as before but for one year this time. Does anyone know what the chances are that this will work. I hear about the new treatments coming out but although I researched them i am not sure they applicable for me.
