I never said we should get special treatment Jeesh! And there r lots of things pregnant women can not do I'm a nurse and used to lift 200 lbs pts by myself I can't do that anymore! I used to move my couch to clean behind it ( I'm a little ocd) I can't lift my couch anymore! There r tons of crap u can't do when ur pregnant! Me too! I'm 31wks plus and it's getting worst. So painful.. i will keep drinking milk and eat smaller portions of food. I avoid eating spicy/food containing spices, oily food. At the same time i would eat an antacid pill prescribed by the doctor for pregnant women. I'm still figuring out how to reduce it further.

usually my period is heavy for the first few days waking up with a very full pad and lasting 6/7 days this time is has been alot lighter and after day 3 just occasional spotting. I feel pregnant n still suffering with heartburn but I did a HPT and it was negative. I am so confused?

Do not worry chicka! Us pregnant women love our spice and as long as u keep some tums handy u will have nothing to worry about.

s nit recommended for pregnant women bc if the heartburn it can cause for you. I love spicy food but I had to cut down on it a lot bc the heart burn was just too intense. So if you can handle then go for it!!

funny thing is whilst my sister was pregnant my mum had really bad heartburn and she came home after work the other nite to tell me she had really bad heartburn and asked my sister if she was pregnant again and she's adamant thats she's not pregnant again!

I drink a glass of milk every night before I go to bed to help keep the heartburn away. I always wake up like 2-3 hours later and it's sooo bad to the point where I feel like I'm gonna get sick. My sister took papaya tablets, but those did nothing for my heartburn when pregnant. Someone on the site wrote about peppermint tea being a godsend. Why not try it, it certainly can't hurt!!! Also try sleeping in a more sitting-up position. Heartburn in pregnancy comes from the stomach being pushed up out of its normal position by the uterus, and keeping the stomach acids down is helped by sleeping propped up a bit.

Some women don't have symptoms at all during pregnancy. In fact some women don't know they are pregnant until they give birth(rare but does happen). Don't stress, your fine. It's early days.

For me fun helped me a lot. After I eat I chew gum and that helped me. I used to get heartburn even just drinking water!

I am just about 5 weeks and today I have some of the worst heartburn I have ever experienced. There are tears. I have tried milk, baking soda and water and lastly Gaviscon. Nothing is working. Anyone have any tricks? I am definately going to be losing some sleep over this bout tonight.

I dont think it means hairy baby, because I know women who have had loads of heartburn and there babies are practically bald I have hears though heartburn means a boy lol!
