Do any of you ladies have any tips for really bad heartburn.. this is baby #4 for me and ive never had it this bad and this early on... im 14w3d and my stomach and throat are on fire :( and now i cant seem to keep nething down. I cant eat any more tums ive already maxed out for today.( old wives tale.. lots of heartburn = lots of hair..lol) some1 plz help!!

Thanks for all the tips. And I am going to ask my doctor on weda btw. It just recently srarted hapoeing at night when I sleep at 34 weeks. But o cant stand the chalkiness of tums. I have a lot of texture issues. Ive tried sleeping with my.pillows higher but it gets really uncomfortable.

Can you suffer from LPR without experiencing any heartburn or other GERD symptoms? Yes! Many people with LPR do not have symptoms of heartburn. Why? In order for refluxed acid to cause heartburn, it has to stay in the esophagus long enough to cause irritation. Also, the esophagus isn't as sensitive to irritation as the throat is. Therefore, if the acid passes quickly through the esophagus but pools in the throat, heartburn symptoms will not occur but LPR symptoms will.

I rather be nauseas then have this heartburn...i have been chewing on tums but even that makes it worse now...any tips???

s chili and cornbread. I soooooo regret it. I had heartburn yesterday that made me vomit, then diarrhea, now today my stomach is rumbling. Some bouts of diarrhea and those gross, rotten egg burps. Anybody have any tips as to what I can take?
