Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn tablets

heartburn

Avatar f tn Im 38 weeks on halloween and I'm having a little girl. I get heartburn bad as well and I don't take tablets or anything for it, I drink tea, milk and water it takes it away completely for me.
Avatar n tn Heartburn tablets are not cutting it for me as much this time (3rd preg). At night I drink water with a 3/4 tsp bicarb soda in it which helps. Sometimes I need to repeat this at midnight to get through the night if it's really bad. Daytime I occasionally take Rennie's tablets (probably similar to tums, I don't know, I'm in Australia).
Avatar f tn Drink pickle juice or Apple cider vinegar. Takes heartburn away instantly.

Avatar f tn The tablets just don't seem to be doing anything anymore even tho they worked fine all of last week any suggestions x
Avatar f tn You need to eat. Drink a glass of milk during or after eating and also take some Rennie's or other heartburn tablets. I think you can take up to 3 tablets at once if you're using Rennie's, but no more than 10 per day.

1827365 tn?1410506306 I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have been having terrible heartburn for the last weeks. My doctor prescribed Zantac and I can take up to 2 tablets, one every 12 hours. The thing is, today is the first day I had to take 2! These last days one was enough, and today, honestly, none of the tablets have worked. I'm so worried, plus, still have this heartburn and have no clue how to deal with it! It's so uncomfortable and painful! :( Has any of you been through this?
Avatar f tn Im 26 weeks and never ever had heartburn until today. All i ate was some chicken soup in the evening and a samdwich in the morning. Avatar f tn Hi Mummys, I'm 32wks today.. I've had heartburn throughout my entire pregnancy and at the begining was prescribed Zantac as I couldn't take my normal Nexium tablets. I started seeing another doctor who took me off the tablets which upset me because they worked so well, he advised I take things like Quick-Eze or Mylanta, so I tried both.

Avatar f tn Having a full head of hair doesn't give you heartburn, that is a myth. I had terrible heartburn with my first and he barely had any hair at all. Eat tums. Sometimes I take a few within like 30 min if it's bad. Also you can take zantac once a day to try and prevent it.
672514 tn?1265655141 In regards to indigestion, the recommended dose of Zantac is to start off with a 75 mg tablet about 30-60 minutes before eating food or drinking any beverage that cause heartburn. Zantac will help in preventing heartburn. The maximum amount to take in one day is 300 mg (4 tablets of 75 mg or 2 tablets of 150 mg). You should not use it for more the 14 days or on a regular basis unless consulting with a physician.
