heartburn symptoms my stomach

Hi everyone. I quit smoking just over one month ago. I've been wanting to quit for several years now but finally took advantage of a situation I was in and carried on with it. It all started with some sort of stomach virus. Experienced the usual not so fun and pretty gross stuff that go along with any stomach flu. During these couple of days, I couldn't eat and the throught of smoking or drinking coffee totally repulsed me.

I take protonix now because my heartburn/reflux was so bad. It is like the Cadillac of reflux meds and I love it. I tried tums and pepcid but they didn't work for me but try everything that is safe and hopefully somethings works for you good luck.

I have a similar problem, minus the diarrhea. The cough and the mucus/bile taste is acid reflux. I was 8 months pregnant when I got the cough doctors tried everything from asthma medications, antibiotics to codeine to no avail. Finally when I had my baby I had a chest x-ray, UBT, an upper GI with the Barium, and a full abdomen xray with all negative results. I'm on the highest dose of Losec. The cough has gone away but I still get acid reflux and the occasional heartburn.

I take the OTC prilosec and that has helped my stomach alot. Hope this helps.

Check out Gastritis and see if it matches your symptoms. This can be caused by reflux, but I'd expect you to have heartburn almost all the time.

One study reported 20 to 43% incidence of heartburn in patients with head and neck symptoms. Also, acid reflux can mimic a heart attack so yes your symptoms could be due to acid reflux issues. My mother suffered severely from Gastric Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) for 5 years. She now suffers neither.

so, in the past few months, I've been woken up out of my sleep by a weird stomachache. I can't really even explain the pain... it's localized entirely in my stomach, & feels like an almost cramping pain. it occasionally makes me feel somewhat nauseous, but not always.

well im 6weeks pregnant & I work overnight in a warehouse & I qet these crazy pains in my stomach & sometimes when I drink water it helps the pain but it still hurts badly , do yall know what that might be

I am 34 weeks as well! But yes I'm having the same symptoms :( except I also still have morning sickness, grr. I take tons of baths as that relieves my back pain and all the pulling on my body and I've started to kick my feet up and relax, keep in my feet elevated has helped a whole lot.

This past year or so we have noticed an increase in heartburn when my husband eats wheat. For example Co-Co wheaties which is just warmed up wheat gives him excruciating heartburn. Is this because of the wheat or the food just irritating the heartburn? This is without butter and without milk, just water, and a teaspoon of sugar. Interested to hear others experiences with this.

My husband has cravings and heartburn.... He has gained a couple of pounds....

Well my ribs start aching and the I get pains in my lower stomach but there small pains and I have been having a lot of heartburn are these also symptoms of pregnancy ?!

and i have been feeling a bubbly feeling in my stomach too...its weird. I dont think thta i could be because i have an iud (mirena) but its not 100% affective so i have no clue. And i dont know about the missed period because i really dont have one...

Everyday I have horrible heartburn I wake up everymorning feeling sick to my stomach and I have frequent bowel movements with soft shapless stools and when I wipe there is blood on the toilet paper this has been going on for about 7 to 12 months...

After two months of mononucleosis, I got symptoms suggestive of indigestion (after heavy meals, pain moving around my stomach). I noticed increased burping throughout the previous month. I did an abdominal ultrasound - nothing out of the ordinary. After 10 days of stomach pain/gas/bloating/burping despite a GERD-compliant diet, my GP prescribed PPIs (once daily) and enzymes.

this helped my PND and has helped cut back on my other symptoms as well as modifying my diet like the above poster suggests. Do see your Dr and ask about the cause of the PND....or histamine over load and see what will help you feel better....keep us posted on your progress.

Have you gone to a gastroenterologist? My sister kind of has the same symptoms but she has really bad heartburn with it. Have you had any tests done?

Sorry your daughter has been in so much pain. I know with my heartburn it just burns from my stomach up to my throat. Could she have a ulcer? I know when I had one my stomach hurt and it felt like cramping. have you taking her to a family dr? I would start there. And maybe when she is having these pains to have her eat some tums or something that is for heartburn just to see if that helps because those meds also help with ulcer pain.

I do wonder though because i have gained weight due to not working and finding myslef siting alot at either the computer or couch, could my symptoms just be from my stomach muscles stretching due to acess weight or poor posture?? I am from Canada were i think its a little different than the USA when it comes to going to see a specialist??( i know here you have to get a referal)...

Please help my stomach :( anxiety all day making my stomach ache like im going to be sick. any tips or advice on how to ease a upset stomach caused by anxiety ?

i've had all types of test done and alls they is, i have constipation and heartburn. I've had my glablater checked also and everything came up fine.i have had constipation my whole life, it's not that i know my body i wish someone could help me! i get weak, tired, pains in my rightside, feel like im going to pass out, vomiting sometimes and now a very weird feeling like there's something very wrong with me.

hello everyone i am a 25 year old male pack a day smoker for the last 13 years (yea i know) heavy weekend drinker for the last 3-4 years i have had what started out with heartburn then turned into a burning sensation in my top stomach right below my ribs in the middle i have been to several doctors and all they caould come up with was acid reflux i was reffered to a gastreonigist who do the endosecomy where they shoved the camera down my throat to see anyways this ways 3 years ago and they said

This happens to me quite often, when i am having a bad bout with my stomach and more recently am having a lot of heartburn it makes my stomach burn, irritated and sensitive and because of the extra acid, i suffer from feeling naueous alot as well.
