Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn symptoms gallbladder

heartburn

Avatar f tn I ended up having severe gallbladder stones and had my gallbladder removed the next day. But I had heartburn in all my pregnancies even this current pregnancy (without my gallbladder), so it's common and will ease up eventually after giving birth.
Avatar f tn Yes tums! Just a caution not to scare you but i am going to share my "heartburn" experience. I thought i had crazy heartburn to the point i was having trouble breathing so i went to emerge and it turned out i have a gallstone and was having a gallbladder attack. If i was not pregnant i would have had surgery to remove my gallbladder the same day. The pain was similiar to heartburn, burning sensation except it didn't rise above my breast bone. It was excruiating.
Avatar m tn My mother, who had heartburn issues before, said that after her gallbladder was removed it helped her heartburn issues a bit, but everything I've read says otherwise, that GERD issues get worse when the gallbladder is removed. Anyone know what the real story is here? I'm confused, and of course, in pain.
Avatar n tn I am a 28 year old female, average weight and generally in good health. Approximately 4 years ago I ended up in the ER due to severe upper abdominal pains. I had been sick with what seemed like a stomach virus or food poisoning (nausea, violent vomiting, and diarrhea) when the pains in my abdomen began. The pains were very sharp and would come and go. When I was admitted to the hospital, I was quite jaundiced. Blood tests showed very high bilirubin and white blood cell count.
Avatar m tn And if so, is it possible that my continued heartburn/chest pains/GERD will heal over time -- or should this have been resolved immediately after surgery if the gallbladder is the cause of these symptoms? Any other insight/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn This started about a little over a month ago. I began to lose my appetite and I couldn't eat as much. I had pretty bad heartburn that would burn up to my ear. I've thrown up on two occasions in the morning a very bitter green liquid. The last 2 weeks, the heartburn has mostly gone away and I do have an appetite, but now I have really bad nausea right when I wake up and it lasts the entire day (just not as bad as when I first wake up).
Avatar m tn What drug should i take for my heart burn. Heartburn start after taken any kind food for the whole day long. I am also taking Antacid liquid.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your response. According to the report my gallbladder is physiologically distended. Several echogenic foci are adherent to the gallbladder wall. These measure 3 to 4 mm in diameter and are consistent with small polyps. Impression was small gallbladder wall polyps without associated ductal dilatation, wall thickening or pericholecystic fluid collections... otherwise unremarkable abdominal ultrasound.
Avatar n tn This may be what causes your nausea, it seems to be one of the possible symptoms. I usually alternate between a bloated indegestion feeling and heartburn. I guess the only thing to do is wait and see.
1847494 tn?1319066003 Do you still have a gallbladder? Have they looked at your gallbladder? See what happens when you do a low fat diet for a few days and see if the symptoms are any better and stay well hydrated with water. By all means don't ignore the symptoms. Gallbladder can cause back pain and belching. Goodluck.
Avatar f tn Now have constant heartburn/indegestion pain across chest and right side of lower back for the last 3 weeks. Yesterday ( sri to b gross) had a poo which burnt, smelt like when ure sick with yellow ridges??!!!. So far bloods have come back normal and stool samples. I am soo tired and down from feeling like this all the time yet no1 seems to be able to help!!Any ideas any1!!!????
Avatar n tn no problem well i could be totally wrong.. i'm not a doctor but many people who complain about yellow stools have some pancrease/gallbldader/liver issue... pancrease problems would be from alchohol or asprin/drugs or gallstone that caused inflammation or attack..usually after eating you feel super crappy..especially sugars *high carbs*..the pain can be high and you'd be doubled over at times. Usually a CT scan or blood test catches that one..
Avatar n tn However, I just wanted to know what severe heartburn can feel like. And how do I know if my symptoms are severe heartburn and not something like a heart attack? I never have any major pains in my chest, usually discomfort and burning pains. My heart also feels like it is going to beat right out of my chest and it occasionally flutters, the latter happens when I am lying down. I also get a weird metallic taste in my mouth whenever the symptoms really flair up.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if my situation sounds like a gallbladder issue even though the symptoms are mild at this times.
Avatar n tn Next day I woke up and ate some chocolate and it gave me the worst indigestion with heartburn. Since then I was never the same. My initial symptoms were heartburn only. Went to the doc was put on ppi which didn't work. Next doc nexium for a month and Carafate and Regan and I felt the most relief was from Carafate.
1222076 tn?1423027749 Here is a video I made explaining all of my symptoms. Im looking for advice from anyone that's having symptoms after they had their gallbladder removed or anyone who has been told they produce to much acid after getting an upper endoscopy. Thanks for watching. Any advice would be apprecated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
923401 tn?1243900156 What were your symptoms then? Sometimes reflux symptoms can masquerade as gallbladder-related pain. Maybe you and your sisters had reflux all along. Another cause of abdominal pain and reflux is a stomach that empties poorly. This condition, called gastroparesis, can produce symptoms similar to those seen in people with gallbladder problems. The most important point to remember is that your symptoms could stem from a number of different causes.
Avatar f tn I am 26, a smoker and about 20 lbs overweight. For the past 5 years I have been experiencing extreme bouts of nausea where I dry heave but nothing happens. I also have had terrible heartburn that doesn't go away with antacids, prilosec or even protonix. About a month ago my nausea and heartburn got so severe that I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. The pain was spreading into my chest, upper back and down both arms.
Avatar n tn No other symptoms except occassional constipation which is very normal for me. I even wake up feeling very nauseaous. I am at my wits end with this. Not one doctor can seem to figure anything out. I am so very tired of feeling like this..........
3777851 tn?1348968120 I have all the MS symptoms. I have awful GERD as well as dysphagia. I have had a swallow test, as well as an endoctomy. After the endoctomy they tried five different PPI's. None helped the dysphagia, however I found that if I stay of the prescription Prilosec, I no longer take tums at all. I used to take them an awful lot at night. I strongly reccommend you try it. It's best to take at least a half hour before you eat.
1084115 tn?1385228589 Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach). This action can irritate the esophagus, causing heartburn and other symptoms.
Avatar f tn I am a 43 year old female. I have had nausea, heartburn, bloating immediately after eating. Dr. said it was IBS but symptoms wouldn't go away. She gave me an ultrasound and it showed 1.3 cm polyp on gallbladder. She said I was fine and will do nothing. Now I am getting pain under right rib cage. I've heard I should have polyp/gallbladder removed for that size. Should I get a second opinion?
4449049 tn?1354740399 Fibromyalgia causes headaches, stomach problems, dizziness, fatigue, heartburn, tired legs, join and muscle aches and pains. It's no fun, believe me. It comes and goes and you never know what symptom will come up. Sorry - I hope a Rheumatologist can help.
Avatar n tn Is there possibly another cause for these symptoms? These symptoms are getting progressively worse.
