Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn symptoms female

heartburn

After doing that for about a week, I started having symptoms of heartburn - usually upon awakening and during the morning hours; it usually subsides by noon. When I eat during this time, I often feel the food going down the esophagus with some discomfort at times. My question is this - could this be a symptom of hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism or related in any way to me taking half the dosage of levothyroxine? How should I proceed?
for the past few months I have been getting severe heartburn, no matter what I eat I seem to get heartburn daily. I tried anti-acids but they dont really work. Now I'm starting to have a lot of bloating & not only am I always burping but also passing a lot of gas.. I dont know if these two are related, I dont know if this is a serious problem. I did go see my doctor and she gave me pills that dont seem to do much either.
I have been having the same symptoms and i am also 22 female, but i do not take birth control. I am going to see my doctor hopefully this Wed and i'll be sure to post back here with what he says ...

Sending the stool out for analysis, as well as a colonoscopy should be considered if the symptoms are refractory. If the symptoms are caused by irritable bowel syndrome, stress and anxiety can be associated with it. I cannot comment on the warm sensations. I would consider an upper and lower endoscopy to further evaluate your symptoms. Followup with your personal physician is essential.
At a recent doctor's appointment, I mentioned these symptoms to the doctor who suggested that this may actually be heartburn and gave me a prescription for Nexium. I'm a little reluctant to start taking meds on an ongoing basis for heartburn, largely because I'm not really sure that's the problem and if it is, I'm not sure it's bad enough or consistent enough to warrant taking them.
i have been fine up untill about a month ago all my panic attacks are back worse than ever and just recently a week ago my interjestion and heartburn is back and over the counter meds and the prilosec i went and bought just arent working. well let me take that back the prilosec has given me some relief with the intejestion but the heartburn is still here only easing off every once in a while it burns in my throat and upper chest right after i burp and feels like something is stuck in there.
Hello - I have had severe heartburn for the last 3 days - at least it feels like heartburn when I've had it before but this is far worse. It's like my stmach is on fire. Typically I take a Pepcid or Tums and it is gone in 30 minutes. I saw a doctor and they prescribed 300mg Zantac and Nexium - both of which I have taken and have seen little improvement. Any food makes the condition worse. The pain - like a knife being stabbed right through me - is also in my back - left center of my back.
I have severe, painful heartburn. I don't seem to be able to associate it with food and tums don't help. It scares me to no end because of the chest discomfort I have been having. It happens sporadically and every time I think I'll let it go because it's happened before -- but I can't. I have worn a 30 day monitor too. I had this nasty heartburn at the time and it recorded nothing, well except NORMAL cardiac activity. I still have a hard time with that one.
I rarely, if ever, have heartburn. No dry cough, asthma symptoms, or trouble swallowing. So, how can I have GERD and no actual symptoms??? She also said the reason for my constipation was that I am "small" and the intestines are "tightly packed" and there just isn't a lot of room for the waste to move through my digestive system - makes no sense to me at all.
Certainly these foods make it worse and if I really overindulge in something spicy/fatty I can get dreadful wind pains in my stomach, but I wonder if it can be GERD as I never get heartburn. I am 44, female, healthy weight, exercise regularly, good diet. I have regular and normal bowel movements so don't think IBS is relevant. Other things that bring on burps/belches are an empty stomach, driving along a bumpy road, bending over, lying down or exercising less than 2hrs after a meal.
i am a 17 year old female. normal BMI. my symptoms: 1. pressure in stomach 2. fleeting but intense heartburn 3. twitching in stomach 4. constipation 5. infrequent pulling on belly button 6. bloating after every meal 7. stomach cramps 8. occasional stabbing pain in abdomen 9.
I have had acid reflux in the past and have sensitivity to some foods and some minor food allergies to sulfites and I suspect other foods. For the past month I have had symptoms of heartburn/acid reflux and acid indigestion: burning on left side of chest, gurgling in esophagus and stomach, gas, indigestion, etc. I have tried abstaining from trigger foods like caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, tomatoes, acidic fruits, etc but it doesn't seem to help.
As the title said, I am a 50 year old healthy female(with normal BMR). I used to have bad heartburn years ago, but was able to treat it with change in diet and prevacid. I actually haven't taken this medication for a few years. Then about a month ago, I started getting heartburn, along with nausea and vomiting. Soon, I also had bitter taste in my mouth. I got prescription for prevacid again from my doc, and I also tried OTC meds(tums, etc), but none of them worked.
I am a 40 year old female. Lately, I have been having a lot of heartburn! I have also been experiencing palpitations. The palpitations started three years ago during my 5th month of pregnancy. I have had a stress test, echocardiogram, and EKG done over the past couple of years and they have all returned normal results. I do not have any pain or blurred vision, etc. with the palpitations. They're just aggrevating and I hate the jumpy feeling I get in my chest from them.
My 21 year old Female fiance is experiencing some symptoms. Queeziness, Stomach Gasses or bubbling no pain, Ear Drainage, Skin feels heated like sunburn without sunburn or fever. After symptoms subside and nausea vanished, moderate heartburn... Any answers please.
I do get heartburn which I treat with OTC Zantac, which always alleviates my heartburn symptoms. A couple of years ago I did have an episode of pleurisy that went away after a couple of weeks but this feels totally different. Please help.
Even if you were asymptomatic, you are at the age when screening for colon cancer is indicated. Given your symptoms, i think that discussions with a physician regarding colon evaluation is warranted. Seeing pill casings in your stool is not that uncommon.
I'll try to make a long story short. My digestive symptoms started about 4 1/2 years ago. Unexplained diarrhea out the blue that never went away (mostly in the am, wake up having to go), and more gas than usual, occasional bloating, extreme fatigue. Had colonoscopy done over 3 years ago that showed swelling of my colon, but no disease -Dx colitis. I have learned to live with it due to the fact that im home in am hours.
I'm a 50yr old female and in desparate need of direction. I've been very tired all my life, with leg pains, minor headaches, sugarholic, had 4 premature babies, etc. 10 yrs ago I was 250lbs,I went on a diet and lost 100lbs in 10 months, 3 months later I started having strokelike attacks. I had to go to the ER yesterday because one came on. My symptoms were, servere palpatations, dizzy, labored breathing, nausea, rightside weakness, slurred speech, blurred vision. I am a 44 year old female. For the last two years, I have had heartburn while sleeping. In the past three months, this has increased to constant heartburn and a feeling of burning in the stomach. Last week I noticed a lump between my lower rib cage. It is painful to the touch. I tested positive and was treated h. pylori four years ago. I went to my primary care two weeks ago, who put me on zantac 150 and tested me for h. pylor, which came back negative.
Since coming here we have all shared symptoms that sound similar....twitches, overheating, etc, etc. I have some strange ones.llike smells and tastes and all. Does anyone else get the burning nose or a taste in their mouth?
mostly right side --shocks of pain that run through my limbs and sometimes cause moments of not being able to use them (anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes) --memory problems, brain fog, forgetfulness --balance issues, clumsiness --my limbs get tired very easily just doing very simple tasks --strange bruising on right calf (bruises look HORRIBLE, but they don't hurt at all) --anxiety attacks --racing heartbeat, irregular heartbeat I hope I got everything...
Well hear is my life story... All of my symptoms started about 5-6 years ago. At that time I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse and they said my anxiety was to blame. I suffered from extreme fatigue and sleepiness during the day. I ended up getting several sleep tests and nothing showed up except a few hypopneas. They fitted me with an oral appliance but that did nothing. I then started getting treated for Depression. A few meds helped but they only lasted a few months.
