Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn symptoms breathing

heartburn

Avatar m tn With laryngopharyngeal reflux, you may not have the classic symptoms of GERD, such as a burning sensation in your lower chest (heartburn). That's why it can be hard to diagnose and is sometimes called silent reflux.
Avatar f tn I thought i had crazy heartburn to the point i was having trouble breathing so i went to emerge and it turned out i have a gallstone and was having a gallbladder attack. If i was not pregnant i would have had surgery to remove my gallbladder the same day. The pain was similiar to heartburn, burning sensation except it didn't rise above my breast bone. It was excruiating. I felt stupid thinking it was only heartburn when it was something much more serious.
7301641 tn?1391016954 I swear I feel like I could breath fire, but its only at night. Like every once in a while I will get heartburn during the daytime but every time I wake up during the night and I don't take tums I can't fall back asleep because its so bad. Anyone else?
Avatar n tn Hi everyone I have just recently been diagnosed with LPR by ENT specialist this is because I have been experiencing wheezy noisy breathing when I lie down. The ENT specialist scoped my nose and said my voice box was swollen so he has put me on Omeprazole for 6 mths to see if this will help. He says I have reflux going into my larynx even though I do not have heartburn.
Avatar f tn I'm 36y, I'm in 33 week, I can't sleeping& breathing good, does any body have a same problem?
1331397 tn?1294039895 t have so many head symptoms, the breathing problem will probably calm down. The heartburn is probably from the drainage of your sinuses down into your stomach. You may not even notice draining down the back of your throat, but it is probably there! Good luck!
Avatar n tn I feel bloating sometimes, and sometimes not, yesterday the pain was gone completely and everything appeared to be normal. Today i started having heavy breathing problems again and a heavy heartburn sensation in the middle of the sternum, as of right now it is only a heavy burning sensation in the middle of the sternum.
Avatar f tn I'm dying from heartburn. I swear I can breathe fire right now. Tums are giving me no relief and I get sick from drinking milk. Does anyone have any suggestions as to safe fixes that will tame the fire breathing dragon in my stomach so I can get some rest?
Avatar f tn Try a glass of milk
1282678 tn?1275186261 I have chronic gas, bloating, constipation, heartburn, trouble breathing, dizziness, muscle weakness, heart palpitations. I have had my heart checked, ct scans you name it. I read articles on the vagus nerve. Could this be causing all of this? This discussion is related to Abdominal Pain in the Front and Back Upper Left Area.

396332 tn?1320003615 Chronic acid reflux leads to uncomplicated GERD, but not everyone with GERD has heartburn. The primary symptoms of GERD are heartburn, regurgitation, and nausea. Heartburn usually is described as a burning pain in the middle of the chest. It may start high in the abdomen or may extend up into the neck. Sometimes the pain may be sharp or pressure-like, rather than burning. Such pain can mimic heart pain (angina). In other patients, the pain may extend to the back.
Avatar n tn t have to wheeze to have constricted airways, trust me. My main asthmatic symptoms are difficulty breathing and coughing. When I have bricanyl, my cough usually stops and wow, can I breath better. Yet I never wheeze. I'm not saying your symptoms are asthmatic. I don't have a clue. I suddenly got worse last year when I gave up caffeine. I'm nearly certain, now, that caffeine was helping asthmatic symptoms.

Avatar n tn I would not experience heartburn in the moment, though I do have history of heartburn. I do not eat at least two hours before bedtime. I do not feel out of breath, but it feels like it is difficult to breathe. To get relief, I usually have to lie on my side (left is better than right side). I sometimes do experience left shoulder pain along with chest pressure. Sometimes, I feel deep burning like pain in the middle of the chest, but it feels different than heartburn.
Avatar f tn Is there anything else I can take for heartburn besides tums and rolaids? I have done everything correct, as far as what I eat and potions but even water gives me heartburn. Now im up feeling like a fire breathing dragon. Dr keeps telling me what I already take should work. I really wish I could wake him up when I cant sleep, like now.

Avatar n tn 23 yr old male 5"11, 170lbs, I don't drink/smoke/caffeine and general eat healthy. Very recently I noticed new development of "shortness of breath" , "lack of sufficient oxygen", and generally unable to catch enough air even when I am sitting down, lying down, calm and not stressing out. I don't think I have asthma because I don't have the wheezing that accompanies it.
Avatar f tn Besides tums does anyone have any techniques for quickly getting rid of this? I am just breathing deeply and almost in tears it burns so much!
