Avatar n tn I am having the same symptoms. Heartburn, back pain, lightheaded and neausea, I also had lots of belching but I do that to try and stop the neausea. I took my blood pressure and it was 146/91 and BPM was 86, my normal is about 110/66 and BPM is about 65 to 70. I had Reflux surgery 15 years ago and have not had heartburn since, until last night. Symptoms have gone away since the middle of the night. History of my family.
Avatar n tn The only think I notice with the back pain is 1)that it is a searing pain in upper back, that radiates from center out, 2) That I break a little sweat (probably anxiety as I dread the pain) 3) Often I have to go have a bm 4) My upper stomach feels pressue, like theres something pressing it out ( off center to the left, between breast and belly button area) 5) when I breathe I can feel the pressure even stronger. Why what does a bloated feeling mean?
Avatar f tn It finally calmed down after a few days, and the pain completely subsided within a week. Now, two weeks later, the upper back pain has returned. My question is, would GERD cause back pain this bad, or are these two separate problems? I complained of the acid reflux each time I had been to the doctor in the past six months (about 5 times), and they just blew it off as if it weren't serious enough to examine the problem further. Help! I am extremely frustrated!
1847494 tn?1319066003 Do you still have a gallbladder? Have they looked at your gallbladder? See what happens when you do a low fat diet for a few days and see if the symptoms are any better and stay well hydrated with water. By all means don't ignore the symptoms. Gallbladder can cause back pain and belching. Goodluck.
Avatar n tn Hi there, The common causes of upper back pain are muscle pain or joint dysfunction. Pinched nerves, gastroesophageal reflux disease all can cause pain in upper back. Burping is most often caused by swallowed air and commonest cause is gastro esophageal reflux disease. Burping which occurs with other symptoms like pain, heartburn, nausea, a decreased appetite, or weight loss may be associated with a serious cause. Take light food. Avoid fried spicy food.
Avatar f tn I'm 9 weeks 5 days and I'm getting heartburn and lower back pain. More an uncomfortable tightness right around my tailbone than pain but yeah. Isn't it too early for these symptoms??
Avatar f tn I'm 8 weeks along and the only symptoms I'm having are heartburn and fatigue. I haven't experienced nausea or sickness or even bloating. Do some people just develop the symptoms later than others?
1534233 tn?1523388856 If I tilt my head forwards as far as I can my back feels tight and the sensation I get in my back is like the burning in my shoulder only much less severe. At times its almost as though I feel like I am wearing a necklace, can feel a sensation along my collar bones and around the back of my neck also.
Avatar f tn these include pain in the upper abdomen and chest, feeling sick, an acid taste in the mouth, bloating, belching, indigestion (dyspepsia), and a burning pain when you swallow hot drinks. Like heartburn, these symptoms tend to come and go, and tend to be worse after a meal. Some uncommon symptoms: these may occur and if they do, can make the diagnosis difficult, as these symptoms can mimic other conditions. For example: A persistent cough, particularly at night sometimes occurs.
Avatar n tn Then went to Dr waiting test results from stress test. This is not anxiety or heartburn, symptoms sound the same, but they feel much different than both. Dr isn't quite sure. I have had very high blood pressure since giving birth 3 months ago, also was diagnosed with Bells Palsy 3 days after birth and almost fully recovered from that. Heart rate stays around 100 bpm and bp usually stage 1 or 2. Never had heart or bp issues before this pregnancy.
Avatar f tn I felt some odd sensations I can only describe as pulling in my lower abdomen. Lower back pain. But...those are also sometimes symptoms of your period coming on. Anyway...I know that wait until you can test is sheer torture - everyone here has been through it. Just try to keep yourself busy for the next few days!
Avatar f tn If your gastritis causes burning stomach and if your upper back pain is like a heartburn, this may be from gastritis (GERD). In this case, before trying other anti-acid drugs, you should have a breath test for H. pylori. But it can also be from gallbladder (referred pain).
Avatar f tn Anybody eyes 34 weeks with these symptoms?
Avatar f tn 21week +2 I get vomiting heartburn like crazy headache and migraine.
Avatar n tn Lately after I eat dinner I get sharp pains in my upper left back along with chest pains. I have been under some stress lately and my Dr. said that could be causing it but it's just not normal. I don't have a breathing problem except when the back pain gets worse. For me this is unusal as I have a high tolerance to pain.

Avatar m tn For the last couple years I've been suffering from neck/back pain starting from this: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Undiagnosed-Symptoms/Potentially-dangerous-symptoms--need-help-finding-out-what-it-is/show/1242857#post_5689436 Starting the last several weeks, I've been having more of a pronounced ache in my neck which prompted me to go see a chiropractor recommended by my work mates.
Avatar n tn Reflux can cause heartburn or it can occur without heartburn. It causes symptoms similar to the feeling you describe in your throat. And bending over or straining your ab muscles can cause reflux to occur. The body responds to the acidity from reflux by coating the throat with mucus - to help prevent damage to the esophagus. He also explained that reflux can cause pain in the chest that radiates into the arm - similar to heart problems.
396332 tn?1320003615 Such pain can mimic heart pain (angina). In other patients, the pain may extend to the back. Typically heartburn related to GERD is seen more commonly after a meal. Other symptoms of GERD include: Recommended Related to Heartburn/GERD Severe Heartburn? It May Be GERD Hoarseness. 7626640 tn?1392749281 My midwife sent me to a chiropractor for my lower abdominal pain (round ligament pain) and rib pain. It was almost instant relief. The following morning I experienced no pain at all :) make sure its a chirp that specializes in pregnancy.
Avatar f tn My bf has gotten really bad heart burn since I have been pregnant and lower back pain. I have neither lol. But he developed it all when I became pregnant.
Avatar n tn Hello! I have been having a dull aching pain in my chest mainly left side, back pain and some occasional arm pain. I do have GERD and had my gallbladder out in 2003. I saw my doc and she thinks its just a flare up of GERDs but has set me up to have a stress echo. I am driving myself nuts wondering is the heart related, am i ignoring signs of a heart condition. My doc doesnt seem so worried but i have small children and cant help but wonder am i taking the right measures promptly.
Avatar f tn I was put on omeprazole a month a go as previous to this i had reflux on occasions and the typical heartburn. All these symptoms are very new to me. Today the pain started after eating cheese on toast... I had an ECG 2 weeks ago as i was so worried to rule out cardiac problems...But its not getting better. Are you able to tell me what this is???
Avatar f tn This nerve stimulation results most commonly in heartburn, the pain that is characteristic of GERD. Heartburn usually is described as a burning pain in the middle of the chest. It may start high in the abdomen or may extend up into the neck. In some patients, however, the pain may be sharp or pressure-like, rather than burning. Such pain can mimic heart pain (angina). In other patients, the pain may extend to the back.
568659 tn?1256139982 t remember having this problem with Noah so I am wondering if any of you are experiencing it and how you deal with it. I wake up in the middle of the night with horrible back pain, by 5 am it is almost unbearable and I toss and turn until Noah wakes up. I really don't want to take tylenol everyday especially since I am taking my headache meds and my heartburn meds almost everyday. I try propping pillows up behind me but I get toss and turn all night since I am so uncomfortable.
