heartburn remedies while pregnant

I was diagnosed with acid reflux years ago so I have been on medication for heartburn for quite a while. when I found out I was pregnant the doctor took me off of my medication so the heartburn is back ten times worse due to being pregnant. the doctor told me I can take Tums or Rolaids or Maalox and none of it seems to work, I'm popping Tums and Rolaids every 5 minutes its horrible does anybody have any solutions?

I'm 19 years old and pregnant with my first baby and never had heartburn a day in my life. But now everytime I eat pizza, chili etc I get get a hurting, burning feeling in my chest and lower throat. Is this heart burn. I know probably sounds like a stupid question but I've never had this before it's hard to explain.

I do know if ur actually getting sick sudafed and normal robitussin and mucinex are safe to take while pregnant. But its still good to talk to ur doc and get their opinion on what to take. I know the first time I got sick durring my pregnancy I went to.the clinic and they told me it was just broncittis but when I told my OB she also did a quick exam and realized I had a sinus infection as well and was feeling much better after she suggested two more things to take with my antibiotic.

Hi, I am 7 weeks pregnant this is my second pregnancy but the experience has been totally different I feel all the time with nauseas and even heartburn I have problems eating. Do you now a remedie to relief this? Most needed I have a 4year old that needs mommy to be more active and a job to attend. Thank you.

Hi there, my suggestion is try and limit iron and fibre intake, if I eat weetabix or shreddies etc... My heartburn is really bad. When not pregnant I have to take 1 mepredec a day while pregnant I need 2 as my heartburn goes through the roof. Milk helps die it down, but if you're getting it bad enough you're throwing up, I would suggest seeing your healthcare provider as it can burn your throat and cause things like larengitis (this happened to me it sucked).

I am 35 weeks and 5 days and have been getting horrible heartburn. It will wake me up at night and I will have to end up falling asleep while sitting up. I am taking tums but they aren't really helping. Does anyone have any advice or remedies to help me out?

m allergic to acetmenaphin(tylenol) which is supposedly the only thing I can take while pregnant. My doctor refuses to write me prescriptions for anything else and tells me to deal with it and there's nothing else like aspirin that I can take. She's very rude. My sister had a baby about a year ago, she's allergic to tylenol as well and her doctor told her other medicines she can take that wouldn't be harmful to the child. She can't remember what they are tho.

Ok so ive had heartburn/acid reflux so bad my dr put me on Pantoprazole, well ive been having stomach issues since i started it so she told me to try a few days without it to c if it was the cause of my stomach issues, well now i have heartburn so bad i wanna cry, do any of u know heartburn remedies that i can try that r obviously safe for my son?

For heartburn drinking lots and lots of milk definately helps to ease it and it doesnt happen as often but as for the cold i have no suggestions sorry..

d like to add that I have lost two pounds between my 2 wk appointment because also for the past three weeks I have been suffering with acid flux/heartburn very badly. So bad til it makes me skip meals to avoid the heartburn. I also noticed that I wake up feeling nasally; I have to blow my nose (trying to clear my throat), it feels like the back of my throat is filled with mucus. Drink some milk when it gets bad. I have 6 weeks left and heartburn just hot me. I asked the midwife for remedies and she said there isn't anything effective. I guess it's just one of those pregnancy things we have to deal with.
