heartburn remedies during pregnancy

I have a list of medicine you can take during pregnancy in my journal you can reference, there's a section for heart burn

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow ...what are some good remedies for heartburn?? Even water gives me heartburn ...

Tums are really safe for heartburn during your pregnancy, I usually take them dont need them alot but there the safe ones for pregnancy since other brands might contain penicillin.

Other than that I sucked on cough drops constantly or sat in the bathroom with a warm Shower runnin to help clear me out. The heartburn, they gave me a prescription bc i have gerd too so the heartburn and nausea was horrible! Just talk to the doc and maybe they can help ya more! Hope you feel better!

I have had a lot of heartburn during my pregnancy. Pretty much all through. I've taken Zantac for it all throughout my pregnancy and I'm 37 weeks today.

I've had outrageous heartburn with this pregnancy. In the beginning milk would work but after a while it got so bad nothing was working. I was even to the point of throwing up stomach acid my heartburn was so bad. I talked to my ob and she actually prescribed me prilosec because zantac wasn't working with this pregnancy like it did with my previous three. I would try tums, rolaids or milk or other remedies before reverting to prescriptions if you aren't big into taking medication.

Ive had loads of heartburn threw out my whole pregnancy I've found the best thing is tums the smoothie ones don't taste bad but now they also have chewey tums which taste like candy:) tums have saved me from endless heartburn

My OB has also assured me that they are absolutely find to use during pregnancy. Good luck.

Hi, I am 7 weeks pregnant this is my second pregnancy but the experience has been totally different I feel all the time with nauseas and even heartburn I have problems eating. Do you now a remedie to relief this? Most needed I have a 4year old that needs mommy to be more active and a job to attend. Thank you.

I've had heart burn throughout my whole pregnancy but these past few days it's just been horrible I can't take it ! Is there any home remedies for this ? I hate milk and I heard that helps but I will not drink it , anything you ladies would recommend trying ?

The heartburn is due to your muscles relaxing. There isn't much you can do except eat smaller more frequent meals and don't lie down after sleeping. Drink some milk when it gets bad. I have 6 weeks left and heartburn just hot me. I asked the midwife for remedies and she said there isn't anything effective. I guess it's just one of those pregnancy things we have to deal with.

My cousin would dissolve about a tsp or so of baking soda in a small cup of water, chug, then wash down with a glass of regular water. I don't have an issue with heart burn or acid reflux during pregnancy so I haven't tried it but she swore by it her whole pregnant because it was awful for her!

Try the Antacid Reflex liquid they work faster , I would get heartburn aswell during my first 3 months & tums would work but liquid antacid worked faster . . .

Do anybody have any remedies that will help with heartburn?..this is my 3rd pregnancy never had to deal with heartburn the first two times...this really *****!!

Try tums for heartburn they are safe during pregnancy and zofran is a b class drug and is considered somewhat safe during pregnancy but there also has been birth defects but if you can't keep anything down then I would take the chance. Try gingerale and crackers first before putting your baby in any possible harm but if you can't keep anything down I think it would be worth taking zofran to stop the vomiting.

I'm to the point in my pregnancy where I'm getting heartburn really bad and it won't go away. Can't keep any liquids down because of it. And I'm afraid I'm going to get dehydrated. Amy remedies to help?

u can take prilosec its safe during pregnancy but there are special mommy to be teas and remedies ate your local organic produce stores or herb shops that do wonders. Don't eat anything high in acid or spicy foods obviously :) no fast food! No Mexican or Italian, nothing with tomato sauce, no oranges, melon fruits will not give u heartburn. Green veggies can reduce heartburn if u eat with din. Goodluck!

Ok so ive had heartburn/acid reflux so bad my dr put me on Pantoprazole, well ive been having stomach issues since i started it so she told me to try a few days without it to c if it was the cause of my stomach issues, well now i have heartburn so bad i wanna cry, do any of u know heartburn remedies that i can try that r obviously safe for my son?

im 32wks and i get heartburn like crazy! anything i eat gives it to me... what can i eat to make it go away? with out any medication?

Zantac is great for a 12 hr fix when sypmtoms start, but Prilosec is also safe during pregnancy & prevents symptoms from even starting. My doctor put me on once daily Prilosec in the morning on an empty stomach & I haven't had one bout of heartburn in 5 weeks.Check it out & see if it's something for you.

hiya heartburn can affect you in different ways so it may just be that and maybe over the counter remedies are not working because it is too strong go to your doctor who can maybe give you some stronger medication to help with the symptoms your having. good luck hope you get it all sorted.

sorry this is kinda OT, but does anyone know what to use for extremely horrible heartburn/indesgestion during pregnancy? The other day. for lunch i had barbeque chicken sandwhich ( chicken patty with barbeque sauce on it lol) and ever since then ive been having this heartbearn reallly bad and we have nothing at my house, and i have a man teacher. enuff said. you know how men dont think anything is wrong with u until your practically on ur death bed.

I'm 20 weeks & this heartburn is soooo ridiculous. Any foods I should avoid or remedies to ease the burn?
