It could be. I was talking to one of my friends who is only 15. He describes that he gets the exact same thing on occasion. We seem to agree that when we breathe in it hurts so we have to breathe in slightly and breathe out more until the sharp pain subsides, which is usually after about a minute. Honestly, I'm pretty convinced now that it's heartburn since my friend described that he gets it too.
Also, understand that it takes about 20 years of eating junk food to cause coronary heart disease. You are not old enough for any of that and if you had Congenital Heart Disease, you would have known about that by now. Go enjoy your life, there are plenty of young people who would exchange places with you in a heartbeat!
Im a 32 year old Male, 5'7' 159lbs. Over the past two years I've had two Stess Test, One Stress Echo, Two echo cardiograms, several EKG's, X-Rays, Blood Work, and Ive worn a 24 hour monitor twice. This all started with a bout of PVC's that scared me pretty bad. They turned out to be harmless. All the test i listed have never shown any signs of heart disease, or anything abnormal just PVC's. My test results have been great.
Everyday I have horrible heartburn I wake up everymorning feeling sick to my stomach and I have frequent bowel movements with soft shapless stools and when I wipe there is blood on the toilet paper this has been going on for about 7 to 12 months...
One cause of heartburn is celiac disease. This and lethargy were the ONLY symptoms my coworker was having. She's about 50 I guess. Her doctor checked her labs and she was positive for celiac disease. She had low levels of vitamin D and some other vitamins and minerals. No heartburn medicines were helping. Upper and lower endoscopy were done, and upper endoscopy showed the damage from the celiac disease. She went gluten-free.

Ive had chest pain on and off radiating sometimes to both upper arms. also shortness of breath at times and fatigue. also some flu like symptoms. when I rest I get much better. but it doesn't go away completely and in the last few days it has been worse than ever. I woke up with heartburn which is strange because I never get indigestion. I am not sleeping well which is also unusual.

Just to add, acid reflux is rarely due to high stomach acid. My mother is free of severe GERD and severe LPR taking betaine HCL with pepsin supplements (increases stomach acid) and digestive enzyme supplements (helps with digestion as well).

I think if i am having some heart disease because sometimes i experience shortness of breath, heartburn accompanied by anxiety. During the depression i felt fluttering in my chest and restlessness that is why i think so.
Twice in last two months it has happened after periods, i experience shortness of breath like claustrophobic, i do not inhale enough air and run outside in open place to breath heavily.

i was put on nexium over a year ago for very severe heartburn. currently still on it. but if it is heartburn, it obviosly is not doing the job. ive also been told that maybe its severe stress. whats your take on this. i would love to have the tests done just to know, but funds are tight right now.( theyve also mentioned having a endoscoppy) lastly i had a docter prescribe nito spray to me months ago. i never used it.
It doesn't matter how much heartburn you have/don't have. Your baby will either have a lot of hair, some hair, or next to nothing for hair.
