heartburn medicine pregnant women

I take medicine for heartburn too. And I take a Tylenol if my headaches get to bad.

I am just posting this so that the women who do not know or who would like to know what medicines you can take while pregnant if you know one comment and thanks ladies:)

I'm 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and I'm having some Hella bad migraines. I also have terrible sinuses, heartburn and I've been physically sick alot, with a fever and what not. I'm allergic to acetmenaphin(tylenol) which is supposedly the only thing I can take while pregnant. My doctor refuses to write me prescriptions for anything else and tells me to deal with it and there's nothing else like aspirin that I can take. She's very rude.

Hi im 27 weeks pregnant and ive just started to get heartburn which is causing me alot of problems. Everytime i drink or eat its repeating on me. If i lie down on my back or right side i feel my food coming up and have to run to the bathroom to be sick. Is this normal? Do you know what medicine i can take while pregnant to stop me from getting heartburn.

My OBGYN told me that doctors dont even recommend tylenol to pregnant women anymore.

Anyone hear the myth where if you have really bad heartburn, your baby comes out with a lot of hair? What do you think about it? I had super bad heartburn throughout my pregnancy and I just had my son Saturday night, he has a full head of hair!

Hello any remedies to help with heartburn 10 weeks pregnant and heartburn is killing me.......

Milk and gaviscon / gaviscon cool tablets. Due to the high salt content in baking soda, pregnant women shouldn't use it as treatment for heartburn. Can also send your blood pressure high. "Baking soda is rich in sodium, so its excess intake can create risks and complications in people who have high blood pressure.

So I'm 33 weeks pregnant. Zantac and tums didn't help. They prescribed me a medicine and now that's not working. I'm to the point where I'm puking. Can anyone tell me anyone old time tricks or home remedies that would work. Besides milk. Tried that and just puked.....this is aweful!

I have severe heartburn . So bad that im throwing up from how bad the heartburn is. I tried tums and threw up within secs of chewing it so that didnt work. Ive tried milk that didnt work either.

TERRIBLE acid reflux. I had to go on medicine for it because I threw up acid constantly and couldn't even sleep. :( I'm 24 weeks and I'm much better with the medicine now lol I also had a lot of growing pains that felt like period cramps. I have the worst heartburn and recently found out pregnant people are allowed with them, lol. It says on the back that pregnant women are only allowed 5 a day... But everyone always says they eat tums like candy or that they go through them so fast... Anyway, is it safe to eat more then 5 a day? I just ate two and sad that I ate them so fast!

I took tylenol and robitussin when I got a cold my doctor told me to go get robitussin that was safe for pregnant women the pharmacist helped me find one that did not have a certain med in it.

One cause of heartburn is celiac disease. This and lethargy were the ONLY symptoms my coworker was having. She's about 50 I guess. Her doctor checked her labs and she was positive for celiac disease. She had low levels of vitamin D and some other vitamins and minerals. No heartburn medicines were helping. Upper and lower endoscopy were done, and upper endoscopy showed the damage from the celiac disease. She went gluten-free.

Youvcan take tums. Just try to watch how.much and how often you take them. Another trick is peppermints. Pretty much any of the hard candy kind will help.

s common in pregnant women so I knew it would come I just never knew how it would feel, I want to make sure this is really heartburn that I'm feeling and not anything serious bc this feeling truly *****, its feels like my throat and chest are just collapsing (that's a bit dramatic) but it really is an uneasy feeling, my throat is very irritated, my whole inside just feels really gasy...how ia heartburn suppose to feel :( ??????

Is there anything that can help with this heartburn? I cant get rid of it.
