Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn jaw pain

heartburn

Avatar f tn It was so bad, my ears were on fire, my jaw ached and I was getting hot, sweaty and shaky from the pain, had waves of nausea and really felt like I would vomit... I think it was coz I took fish oil tablets before bed. Was up til 2.30am so finally drank some milk. I think it helped as water wouldn't mix with oil and send it down but milk did. Anyway it was enough to get to sleep but today I'm buying Rennie! Not keen for another night like last night.
Avatar m tn My main concern is jaw pain. After short periods of running I am experiencing pain, specifically around my joints. After doing some light background research I saw this this could be linked to heart disease. Before anyone responds a few points should be made. -I was tested extensively for heart issues when I was 4 due to a benign heart murmur. - I have scoliosis which causes one of my legs to be approx .25 inches shorter than the other. I require the use of a lift in one shoe.
Avatar n tn Pain that starts along my jaw bone and spreads quickly to my chest (Like a really bad case of heartburn) where I have trouble taking deep breaths without pain. I break out in a sweat and feel panicy. It only lasts for a short time but it is starting to worry me. I also have occasional left upper arm pain. Does this sound like heart attack symptoms?
Avatar f tn I have difficulty swallowing, pain in throat, cough, headache, full feeling around jaw and ears. I am 67 years old.
Avatar f tn t tooth pain and it was deep, not surface pain. Shortly after the jaw pain started, within about 30min, the pain started to spread up behind my left ear, down the left side of my neck, and into the top of my left shoulder. I then recalled an article I read about common heart attack symptoms in women that are often overlooked (jaw, neck, shoulder, arm, and back pain).
Avatar n tn However, if you are having other symptoms associated with this (arm pain, jaw pain, shortness of breath, nausea, sweating), you should seek further evaluation by a licensed physician who can perform a throughou history and physical examination to ensure your symptoms are not being caused by another condition (heart, lungs, etc.).
15695260 tn?1549593113 There are the classic signs such as chest pain or pressure which is the number one signs as well as jaw pain, sweating, heartburn, shortness of breath, jaw pain, toothache, headache, and nausea and vomiting. Women also often have the signs of lightheadedness, nausea, extreme fatigue, fainting, dizziness, or pressure in the upper back. Heart attack is the number one killer of both men and women and involves death of the cardiac muscle.
370181 tn?1595629445 Thanks so much for your response, selma. I didn't think about the vagus nerve being a possibility and I'd never heard of the condition you called "silent reflux." I was just incredibly relieved you didn't immediately say "run to your cardiologst as it might be a heart attack!" That is what I was fearing someone would say.
Avatar f tn This happened to me once....I had awful awful heartburn to the point it caused my bottom jaw to be extremely sore and shooting pain in.my arm :/.......
Avatar f tn Are you having heartburn? I had heartburn to severe that it caused my jaw to hurt on top of my sinus draining.....I'll go get checked out if I were you.

Avatar f tn It comes and goes in about 5 mins increments and has not stopped for the full two days. It starts like what feels like heartburn and then deepens into a stronger pain and into my lower jaw. Idk what this is or should be worried? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Avatar n tn I have severe throat pain on left side mainly underneath jaw and at bottom of throat. Seems to be set off by acidic foods, or swallowing bulky rough items. I have never had a sore throat like this before -- I have no other symptoms no cold, no runny nose, no cough etc. It has not gotten any better after a kind of 2 day onset 6 days ago. Yawning really hurts severely.
1547952 tn?1293907781 I remember my first time feeling this symptom, everyone kept telling me it was to do with heartburn. I was 46 years old, and was pretty sure I knew what heartburn felt like. This was totally different, it was a horrible sensation, nothing like a burning. Another clue as to whether or not this is angina, is when it occurs. Below are some of the things which would kick my throat discomfort into action... 1. Going out into cold air. 2. Walking up stairs or similar exertion. 3.
Avatar f tn Before which I began to notice pain in my chest that radiated towards both clavicles and upward into my throat. No acid reflux was present. I continued with fatigue, dizziness, general feeling of not being well and the pain continued to radiate - coming in waves and increasing in intensity. Within an hour the pain was widespread throughout my upper body (chest, esophagus, clavicles, both arms, shoulder blades, upwards into the right side of my neck and jaw).
1328595 tn?1283018449 I was prescribed 375 mg of Naprosyn for jaw pain/inflammation. I've taken it for two days and have had a painful side effect. Ever since I started taking it, I've had stabbing pain/burning in the sternum area of my chest. Pretty much all day long. I'm assuming its heartburn but I read that that happens with prolonged use. I rarely use over the counter NSAIDs, such as Aleve. Could it be my heart?
1157646 tn?1343967128 Fatigue, depression, constipation, brain fog or dizziness, loss of memory, dry skin and eyes, heartburn, GERD, hair loss, joint and muscle pain, leg pain, foot pain??? If so, then you need thyroid meds or a higher dosage in your current meds. I'm not always able to be on this forum, so if I don't respond next, or if someone else doesn't help, then please send me a message.
Avatar n tn This caused damage to my digestive system (gastroparesis and maybe gallbladder dyskinesia), which resulted in acid, bloating, nausea, stomach pains, etc. Jaw pain and dizziness became common place, as did headaches. This was caused by my TMD (TMJ) getting worse. Steps were taken to attempt resolution, and while the jaw pain and dizziness lessened, I started getting headaches more and more often. Taking medication for the heartburn (nexium) started making the headaches worse after a while.
Avatar f tn Howdy. This might be a bit lengthy, but here goes. Depression, lack of desire for previously enjoyable activities, anxiety-especially in social situations, insomnia, migraines, numbed emotions, unfounded fear, disturbing dreams, short term memory lapses, and difficulty concentrating. Thee are prolly a couple more, but these are the most bothersome.
