heartburn in pregnancy and baby hair

Anyone hear the myth where if you have really bad heartburn, your baby comes out with a lot of hair? What do you think about it? I had super bad heartburn throughout my pregnancy and I just had my son Saturday night, he has a full head of hair!

I know people who've had BAD heartburn and have had both genders. It's actually more likely that your baby will have a lot of hair per a new study (though with anything that's not always the case; just the majority of cases). It doesn't really indicate one gender or the other.

I was reading some articles and there actually might be some correlation between the amount of hair your baby has and the severity of heartburn you experience throughout your pregnancy. I assumed it was an old wives tale. Anyways can anyone back this up with their experiences? If this is true my baby will be as bald as a bowling ball lol.

I most definitely believe in it... I had a head full of hair when I born... My first pregnancy I had major heartburn n my baby girl was born with a head full. Now that I'm getting close to the end of this pregnancy the heartburn is kicking in more n more I already know this little girl is going to have a head full Bcus I can see it on her sonogram pictures...

I have had no heartburn this whole pregnancy and at my last ultrasound the tech said baby has a full head of hair! I was shocked.

I had it with my daughter during my whole pregnancy pretty much and she was born sith a lot of hair, with tbis pregnancy is the same thing only worser, not even drinking water makes it go away

During my first, I had heartburn from hell and my baby DID have lots of hair but my friend also had tons of heartburn and was dead set on the fact that her baby would have lots of hair but her baby was completely bald and still is at 18 months. Haha so it really just depends on the person I guess!

I had horrible heartburn with both of my babies and both had tons of long hair. This pregnancy I've had heartburn since I was 4 weeks that is what actually triggered me to take a test. It's always been true for me.

To eat onions and baby will have lots of hair.. My sister in law always tells me that. I cook with them for flavor in my food just cut them into big pieces but absolutely hate onions. So guess my baby wont have much hair.

I have been having nasty ole heartburn and I know not to believe in the old wive's tales but I did just read something about heartburn during pregnancy. It is said that heartburn during pregnancy means a greater chance at baby being born with hair but I don't see how hair could cause heartburn lol.

I read that it has been somewhat scientifically proven that heartburn means your baby has hair. Idk if its a lot of hair or just hair in general but I read it in What to expect when expecting.

It Is a wives tale, but It was true for me! I had HORRIBLE heartburn and my baby came out with a full head of hair. It's juss a 50 50 chance.

I'm 19 years old and pregnant with my first baby and never had heartburn a day in my life. But now everytime I eat pizza, chili etc I get get a hurting, burning feeling in my chest and lower throat.
