This is my first pregnancy and I'm 13 weeks along.... What can I do for hiccups, heartburn, and constipation? I constantly get it and sometimes it's the worst. Is there anything I can take or do to calm it? Please help!!!
s an old wives tale, and absolutely absurd. Heartburn, indigestion, hiccups, etc. All due to your digestive system having to accommodate extra mass pushing on your organs. Intestines, stomach, liver, bladder and lungs all have to make room. They get overworked so you will notice all these side effects more frequently.
I have never heard that. My first daughter would get them a couple times a day and she has never once had a problem with heartburn/acid reflux and she's 9. Hiccups are usually caused by the baby practicing breathing and swallowing the amniotic fluid. I wouldn't worry about it.
Currently 35 weeks and can no longer enjoy eating. Everytime I eat baby girl gets the hiccups and it irrates me and makes me start feeling sick and if she don't have hiccups she starts moving like crazy and moves up and down, kicking my ribs, my hip bones, and bouncing on my bladder. I hate it because I get so hungry and I can never enjoy my food anymore. Just can't wait to have my baby girl already and my body back. Sorry just needed to vent a little. Any other moms feeling the same?
Also, you have noted hiccups and some heartburn. At this point, we can not exactly tell what this is but hiccups and heartburns would need further evaluation. I suggest you seek consult with an internist for a complete physical examination. This burning sensation may be nerve related as it follows a particular pattern. A complete medical history, neurologic examination and blood tests will help rule out other conditions .Evaluation of cardiac function may be necessary.
The past couple nights my little girl has had hiccups when I'm about to fall sleep.

So I'm 37weeks and my son seems to get hiccups like 2xs a day or so but of course I made the biggest mistake of looking stuff up on Google. And I've gotten different things about it.
So are they good or are they bad???
He has heartburn and hiccups often, as well (not suure if hiccups are any relevant, but ah well). He experiences a frequent need to urinate (3 times in an hour today, for example), even though he doesn't consume a lot of liquids. He has redness and sometimes soreness of his penis tip. I think he often gets hypoglycemia, though eating sweets when he gets so nauseous doesn't really help much.
Have been belching for some time now. I am not on any medications. Belching is a mix between hiccups and belching. All my blood-work (LFTs, CBC/RBC/WBC) comes back normal, except for slightly low platelets. I have petechiae (ie little burst capillaries) all over my chest and back - and getting new ones every couple days. I would think this was just because of low platelets, but this is a recent onset and I've had low blood platelets for as long as I can remember.
no eds...he had bad heartburn after surgery but that seems to have gone away. they only come on for a couple min..
At random points through out the day the sharp pain comes on and off on my left side of chest right near my rib cage and also on and off the same pain in between my belly button and sternum. I do suffer from chronic heartburn and indigestion. Any idea what this could be?
For about a year now, I have had what everyone tells me are the hiccups. The only way I can describe it is like a hiccup except much louder and stronger (to the point of, it has made me vomit on rare occasions). It does sound like a hiccup, but it's not MY hiccup, if that makes any sense? and I still get the regular old hiccups that I would normally get on occasion along with the weird version I've had for a year now.
t burb normally so I have to stick my fingers in my mouth to burb, sometimes come with hiccups. I was on nexium for a couple of weeks thinking maybe is acid reflux but it doesn’t help with these symptoms.
Btw. I never had a heartburn
I'm having an endoscopy next week, but I'm very nervous about the results. I can't even sleep.

i felt like a burning sensation in my chest and like a heavy feeling like i was going to be sick. it kind of felt like heartburn but i knew it wasnt? im so confused. ive a doctors appointment at the end of the month but its driving me crazy as to what it is. thanks.
Week 5 at 36yo. I started to cough a lot with sour taste on the back of my throat. I feel like this symptom gets worse with certain positions like lying down. I couldn't take a nap today because of this symptom. Lots of lots of lots of burping n frequent hiccups. I can't tell if this cough is related to heartburn or actual cold (my family member has a bad cold...) I've been very careful not to catch with frequent hand washing, hydration, eating balanced meals n so on.
