Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn ginger pregnancy

heartburn

Lemons are obviously Very acidic!! I ate loads during my first pregnancy, gave me really bad heartburn and thrush in my mouth from the acid killing good bacteria. If I was you I would try full fat milk, double cream or gaviscon although gaviscon is about £8 a bottle. I am suffering from very bad acid this time round and all 3 work very well for me. Hope this helps you.
I was told Zantac was okay , but taht was because my insurance would not cover any prescriptions for heartburn caused by pregnancy. Cruel I know. I would call your Dr. and ask them, they might be able to call in a prescription too that could be covered by your insurance and may be cheaper than otc. I was also told Pepcid was okay, but I cwould call first and ask your Dr. At some point the milk stopped working for me too and I needed some help, you can only eat so many Tums a day....
HI!! I am 23 wks prego and Just was wondering what kind of meds I can buy for heartburn. The doctor had told me I just have forgotten! If anyone could help me out that would be great!
With this pregnancy I got heartburn so badly that it was like being hit in the chest with a baseball bat, and I'd sit up for hours at night with it. My doctor okayed liquid Mylanta, which I kept in the fridge and would take big gulps of, and it did work after several gulps. But just this last two weeks, I've discovered something that works even better.
Hey ladies, Can any of you recommend some things may ease my nausea and heartburn? I am 16 1/2 weeks and have been getting both really bad this past week. I eat normal food (stuff that normally would not give me heartburn) and still get it anyway! As for the nausea, it comes and goes all day long. I still even throw up. I just need some relief. I have felt this way since I was 7 weeks. Thanks a ton!!
I had BAAAD heartburn throughout my pregnancy. Drinking water would burn me that's how bad it was. The only thing I took was TUMS. It wasn't the greatest but it did help somewhat. Sleeping elevated might help. All those things that people suggested actually made it worse (drinking milk, eating bananas, etc).
Also, I have been eating mostly pasta as I don't want to aggravate the heartburn. I have been drinking either ginger tea or water. Also, if I don't drink enough water, my stools are hard and sometimes there is a couple drops of bright red blood on the toilet paper or a streak on the actual bowle movement. Not actually in the stool, but on it, if that makes sense. Seeing a gastro this week, but now I am scared I have colon cancer. No history of it in my family.
things you can try to help it are seaband wristbands, ginger, lemons or lemon heads or preggy pops.. and if none of that helps you can ask your dr for zofran.. and yeah I'm pretty sure you can have hot wings..
I think different things work for different people, so just try anything you can think of or anything people tell you about. Lemons, ginger, ginger ale, coka cola, sea bands, saltines. I lived off cheese and crackers and Ensure for a few weeks. It does get better though.
I also recommend ginger snaps. I didn't love them before I was pregnant, but boy did they help the heartburn. Ginger tea too. Good luck!!!
is it normal to get a negative pregnancy test 24 hours after embryo transfer?

I am looking for more info on pregnancy after an endometrial ablation. I had an ablation in May 2002. January 2003 I was not feeling well and went to the family doctor. She thought it may be an ectopic pregnancy since I was told I was sterile. I had an ultrasound to discover it was an interuterine pregnancy and I was about 9 weeks. I am now 17 weeks and for the past month trying to decide to terminate or continue.
There was an entire chapter in the book on what to eat to increase ovulation and what NOT to eat. And ginger root it said was linked to miscarriage in early pregnancy...it also stated some doctors will prescribe ginger for nausea in small doses. It went on to say why, and i cant remember...i read the book quite awhile ago...but as soon as i read it, i went through my cupboard and threw out anything with ginger root in it. I just didnt want to chance it.
Sea Bands Ginger Tea Ginger Ale Saltines in bed before you rise. Good luck, it really should pass soon.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions or comments? This is my third pregnancy and I am 38. My last child was born almost eight years ago and this one was unplanned. I was taking Orthotricyclen when I got pregnant and took it daily up until I found out I was pregnant, basically at 5 1/2 weeks.
I heard that CM increases with pregnancy.....I don't remember getting this with my son in my early pregnancy, but then again that was 10 years ago. I was pregnant in the spring and miscarried, but I am pretty sure I had extra CM at first. Who knows....good luck, maybe this is it for both of us. Let me know your results.

Is there anything I should stay clear of to reduce that or anything I can try to help with it! Tums works with heartburn but not the reflux.
Acid reflux can cause heartburn and nausea. Pregnancy might, virus might, certain foods can do it. There's dozens of reasons. See a doctor, or you can try things yourself, such as antacids, watching what you eat, etc.
But then the gas of the juice would sometimes give me heartburn - I couldn't win. But it did relieve the nausea! If you like ginger, I would give that a try. Crackers/pretzels are good to nibble on. Even have a packet by your bed so you can snack on them as soon as you wake up, then leave it 15 mins before trying to get out of bed. Eating little and often is the key. I found fruit really helped me. I was tasty and juicy as well, and made me feel somewhat better. Especially watermelon!

I get very nauseous a couple times a week and the episodes usually last about 20 mins or so and are sometimes accompanied by heartburn. I never actually throw up but I got to sit by the toilet the whole time. The last time I had an episode it actually lasted about 2 hours. Here recently my live in boyfriend has also been experiencing these episodes. I just got off the zpac for an upper respiratory infection but it never completely went away.
