Heartburn gallbladder

Common Questions and Answers about Heartburn gallbladder

heartburn

Avatar f tn I ended up having severe gallbladder stones and had my gallbladder removed the next day. But I had heartburn in all my pregnancies even this current pregnancy (without my gallbladder), so it's common and will ease up eventually after giving birth.
Avatar f tn Yes tums! Just a caution not to scare you but i am going to share my "heartburn" experience. I thought i had crazy heartburn to the point i was having trouble breathing so i went to emerge and it turned out i have a gallstone and was having a gallbladder attack. If i was not pregnant i would have had surgery to remove my gallbladder the same day. The pain was similiar to heartburn, burning sensation except it didn't rise above my breast bone. It was excruiating.
Avatar m tn My mother, who had heartburn issues before, said that after her gallbladder was removed it helped her heartburn issues a bit, but everything I've read says otherwise, that GERD issues get worse when the gallbladder is removed. Anyone know what the real story is here? I'm confused, and of course, in pain.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am a young 22 year old male with a history of upper right quadrant pain, heartburn/GERD, chest and back pain for over a year. I was completely healthy until a alcohol binge on my 21st birthday (which I neither planned for or am proud about). I immediately had upper right quadrant dull but significant pain for a few hours. Within the next few weeks and months, all of my current problems began popping up one after another.
Avatar n tn Never had an issue with heartburn or acid reflux until I had my gallbladder removed as well. The worst was when I ate a peanut butter and banana sandwich for lunch, Had chest pain and everything up to my throat felt hot.
Avatar m tn I am still sitting on the fence, between keeping gallbladder or not. I do NOT have gallstones best they can tell and do not have hurtful gallbladder pain, but HIDA Scan confirmed a very low functioning gallbladder (7%). I do have digestive issues from time to time, sleep interruptions, fatigue and vitamin absorption issues, but a multi-vitamin such as Centrum was apparently able to take care of the problem.
Avatar n tn I just had my gallbladder out four weeks ago after a month of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I had several attacks and lots of heartburn and began to take a ppi which seemed to help. I have still had heartburn after and also have mild colitis. Today my colitis is feeling better (not much bloating at all) but the last two days I have had constant heartburn.
Avatar n tn I too had an ultrasound that revealed no gallbladder or no functioning of the gallbladder. What percent was your gallbladder functioning at?
Avatar f tn //www.healthline.com/health/gallbladder-removal-diet#foods-to-eat I have read that peanut butter causes gas and that is part of the pain and discomfort. ?? Not sure though. I found a low sugar, natural peanut butter that works for me okay.
Avatar f tn Hi I have just found out my gallbladder is functioning at 18 percent, dr recommends removing it, I am scared but I have alot of pain, and heartburn, and indigestion, any advice and is 18 percent to low,
Avatar f tn gallstones and pain; chronic heartburn; vomiting daily (the whole pregnancy...I lost 25lbs throughout the months I was preganant); and high blood pressure. The high blood pressure and vomiting went away shortly after the baby was born and my gallbladder was removed. Ever since, I have had chronic dairrhea and constipation. Both with flip flop, but I seem to never be regular. The heart burn continues, but is less frequent (maybe twice a week).

Avatar n tn I thought the pain was caused by the inflammation of the esophagus, but after 6 month with increasing heartburn problems I took PPI for one month and the heartburn problem was completely gone. What was left was the constant pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasound, gastroscopy, coloscopy, bloodwork and an MRI showed nothing abnormal, expect a folded gallbladder but with no sign of inflammation or something. Im quite sure that the gallladder is the location of the pain.
Avatar m tn This started about a little over a month ago. I began to lose my appetite and I couldn't eat as much. I had pretty bad heartburn that would burn up to my ear. I've thrown up on two occasions in the morning a very bitter green liquid. The last 2 weeks, the heartburn has mostly gone away and I do have an appetite, but now I have really bad nausea right when I wake up and it lasts the entire day (just not as bad as when I first wake up).
Avatar f tn It started with heartburn about a year ago . The heartburn got frequent and severe enough to seek medical attention . They put me on aciphex and did a gastoscopy , finding just an irritated stomach lining . Ever since then I have had nothing but tons of epigastric pain and into my back . They switched me to protonix 40mg twice a day but I have minimal relief . Also had my gallbladder removed about 4 yrs ago . Any ideas ? Please Help !!!
Avatar n tn d appreciate it.) Risks in C-sections are greater than the risks in gallbladder surgery. Increased heartburn from gallstones can also cause slower digestion, leading to gastritis and inflammation of the esophagus if you also start feeling frequent heartburn. Keeping stones in can cause some difficulty, one of the most severe being a sudden blockage of the passageway that gets bile from your gallbladder to your digestive tract.
Avatar n tn yellow stool usually indicates gallbladder issues so this whole thing might be gallbladder related (not to send you into a nervous panic but gallbladder pain is a lot like ulcers and sometimes bile reflux can end up in your stomach so that would also cause your symptoms and also cause ulcers. Again usually diagnosed with endoscope *with bile in the stomach seen* or an ultrasound/HIDA scan of gallbladder...I bet if you ate something fatty/oily you'd probably get sick right?
Avatar f tn For the past 5 years I have been experiencing extreme bouts of nausea where I dry heave but nothing happens. I also have had terrible heartburn that doesn't go away with antacids, prilosec or even protonix. About a month ago my nausea and heartburn got so severe that I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. The pain was spreading into my chest, upper back and down both arms. The ER doctor suggested that I might have gallbladder problems.

2165035 tn?1337039546 And the vomiting and pain does sound like gallbladder. A friend of mine thought her nausea and pain was gallbladder yet it took a while before she was diagnosed, which is beyond stupid and scary that they didn't diagnose her right off the bat, so you have to really be your own advocate these days because some doctors minds are on the golf course when you are talking to them....Good luck.
Avatar m tn What drug should i take for my heart burn. Heartburn start after taken any kind food for the whole day long. I am also taking Antacid liquid.
1847494 tn?1319066003 Do you still have a gallbladder? Have they looked at your gallbladder? See what happens when you do a low fat diet for a few days and see if the symptoms are any better and stay well hydrated with water. By all means don't ignore the symptoms. Gallbladder can cause back pain and belching. Goodluck.
