Im not exactly sure because i crave them a lot. But i do know that spicy food during pregnancy will make u bloated n it might b harder to loose the extra weight....
After things settle down. Try figuring out what food is causing the heartburn. Once I started eating the right foods there was no more heartburn. I don't know your age (don't divulge it either) but as we get older, we produce less hydrochloric acid. Taking it with a pepsin (found in supplement stores) surprisingly helps too, as you would think that taking an acid wouldn't help heartburn.
So my brother in law was telling me he heard its not good to eat spicy things when pregnant. But I love spicy foods. I eat jalepenos hot chips pepperonchinis all that! Is it bad or am I good?
Spicy foods are fine. They say to stay away from fish with high levels of mercury, soft cheese such feta cheese or bleu cheese, cold lunch meats but I eat those anyways. Also drinks with a lot of caffeine. You can't eat undercooked foods such as rare steaks and sushi. None of that is definitive because they legally can't do tests on unborn babies BC its inhumane so they don't know anything for sure these are just general rules of thumb.
Tums, bread, milk, bananas can help. Your Dr can prescribe you something to take daily. Some foods can make it worse, but it's different with everyone. Drink lots of water with meals.
I always made sure to drink milk with it, it can give you awful heartburn. Especially if you have morning sickness it will make it worse. Make sure you take something for heartburn ahead of time.
I'd like to no the answer to the same question I have avoid certain foods and it still comes every day. I take tums like gum . well not exactly just a figure of speech . I take the recommend dose on the bottle. I asked my doctor about it when I saw him today he recommended trying the liquid form and if it doesn't help he will prescribe me sum thing that is safe for me and baby. Just know your not alone I feel your pain I get hurt burn and acid reflux daily .
Try cutting out acidic foods, tomato based foods etc and try some Zantac 150mg over the counter. When I had those symptoms... That's what my dr prescribed me... But mine was my gallbladder in the end.
