heartburn early symptom

I am 6 weeks and i am having horrible heartburn!! Is that normal so early and if so what can relieve it??!!

5 days is the earliest, once you start producing HCG symptoms are possible.

Last time I was pregnant I had horrible nausea day and night from week 4ish horrible heartburn and just a feeling of unwell. This time I have sore breasts, the occasional flutter in my low abdomen and really bad lethargy in the afternoons... Is it normal to have such a different sensation this time? I'm having my dating scan next Friday and am around the 5.5 to 6 week mark... just need a bit of reassurance to get me through the next week. Thank you.

I have had pretty bad nausea throughout the 1st trimester (I am 12 weeks today), but never vomited. I think diarrhea can be a relatively common symptom, in early pregnancy. Congratulations on #2!!!

My last period is on 10 mar, and had few symptom like breast tenderness, dizziness, heartburn, and my period came on 17 mar.. I never had that symptom before.. Izit i also miscarriage? Pls help.... I want baby..

Just curious to know what symptom has hit you ladies the worst during your pregnancy? Mines has definitely been heartburn and it drives me insane. It will just start up for no reason at all, I'm awake now at 5 am because it just hit me again.

I have heartburn all day everyday. It is awful and I only get it when I'm pregnant so at least I know its just a few more months of it.

I'm due.april20 with my second so not really early April but my doctor tells me that my son is already "big" and hes breech so they might be scheduling a c section at my.next drs appt Anyways my symptoms are heartburn back pain and always.

My only symptom that early on was an urgency to pee. I literally almost peed my pants while shopping. That led me to taking a pregnancy test.

You could be pregnant but heartburn would not be a symptom this early in the game.

I am 7 weeks PG and already feeling it big time. Mostly I experience a lot of wooziness and extreme exhaustion and I almost feel like I have a cold...congestion, occasional sore throat...stuff like that but I know I don't have an actual cold. t feel pregnant last time I had really bad sickness and heartburn. But absulutly no sickness this time should I be worried that I don't have the main symptom of pregnancy. Thus far, my 2 pregnancies have been totally different - even though I am still soooo early. First time around I was nauseous, sore bbs, acne... blah, blah, blah. This time around (aside from the fatigue) I have no symptoms and have started to get heartburn (I think)... How many people have had totally different pregnancies and what did you end up having? I know each pregnancy is different, but I am just curious.

Week 5 at 36yo. I started to cough a lot with sour taste on the back of my throat. I feel like this symptom gets worse with certain positions like lying down. I couldn't take a nap today because of this symptom. Lots of lots of lots of burping n frequent hiccups. I can't tell if this cough is related to heartburn or actual cold (my family member has a bad cold...) I've been very careful not to catch with frequent hand washing, hydration, eating balanced meals n so on.

It definitely was for me. I had terrible heartburn, just as you describe, when I got back into being hypo, while in the process of changing my meds. In two days after starting on Armour, in order to increase my FT3 level, the heartburn was gone. If you haven't been tested for FT3 and FT4 (not total T3 and total T4), then you should get that done. FT3 is the most important because it is the most active thyroid hormone. FT3 largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions.

Bloating, burning, burping...anything of this? Constipation, heartburn, nausea, early satiety? Exact location?

As far as 'avoiding' it is concerned, your stomach is being pushed out of position and there is nothing to do to change that, short of having the baby. Some women simply do get extreme heartburn from this involuntary repositioning of their internal arrangement, others (the lucky ones) don't. As as far as treating the symptom, ask your ob-gyn for a list of approved heartburn meds (don't take just anything, ask your doc or your pharmacist).

I'm 9 weeks 5 days and I'm getting heartburn and lower back pain. More an uncomfortable tightness right around my tailbone than pain but yeah. Isn't it too early for these symptoms??

Normal for most of us. I'm preg with baby number 3 and never had symptoms with any. I now get a lil heartburn but that's it. I'm 25 weeks.

I've tried all that I can to get rid of this nasty symptom. Tums antacids are the only things that help. Unfortunately, I've already taken the recommended amount for 24 hours. Now, I have got to get some sleep... however, that's not possible when I can't lay down without feeling like I've just swallowed fire. Any suggestions, ladies?
