heartburn

Avatar n tn Is it upper abd. bloating with burping (heartburn, early satiety, nausea?)...or lower abd. bloating with flatulence?
Avatar n tn Bloating, burning, burping...anything of this? Constipation, heartburn, nausea, early satiety? Exact location?
Avatar n tn Helycobacter pylori infection of the stomach may cause nausea, poor appetite, heartburn, early satiety, burping and upper abdominal pain. You may suggest to your gastroenterologist to have an urea breath test for H. pylori. You may try low fructose diet for 2-3 days - if you have fructose nalabsorption it will help. http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/21247?personal_page_id=494312 Where exactly do you feel pain?
Avatar f tn I did speak with my family doc today and he said my wbc is a little high. Could that mean infection? With the H.pylori is your wbc elevated?
Avatar n tn diarrhea, fatty diarrhea (tan, floating, rotten eggs smelling), constipation, even alternating between constipation and diarrhea, large bulky stools; early satiety, bloating, early fullness, child choosing to eat foods different from in past, headaches, upset stomach, skin break outs, might be mistaken for hives, sores on tongue, heartburn kind of pain, AND careful tracking of height and weight, those compared to that of siblings if there are any.
Avatar f tn *upper abdominal pain (above the navel), *belching, nausea (with or without vomiting), *abdominal bloating (the sensation of abdominal fullness without objective distention), *early satiety (the sensation of fullness after a very small amount of food), and, possibly, abdominal distention (swelling).

Avatar n tn Thank you. great info. makes sense...I would think with liver or gallbladder you would see other symptoms....do you think anesthesia / meds could have caused some liver toxicity...on a sub-clinical level. My son is extremely intuitive. Hyper-neurosensitivity issues...all labels cut out of shirts, seams on socks make him nuts, an intense kid...has a 4.2 g.p.a. junior year of high school. I would think if it were an ulcer he'd have pain.? he also has early satiety...get's full quickly.
Avatar n tn I've tried them both for my problems which are like yours. They didn't work at all and were a waste of money (for me). Try Swedish Bitters from the health store and take about a spoonful in bubbly soda water and see how you feel. It helps me and I take it before bed and a couple of times in the day. Also try Slippry Elm powder - a teaspoon dissolved in a little water. That's often soothing.
Avatar n tn This is how the battle is won or lost: INSULIN Insulin secretion (for the main goal of reducing blood sugar) also interferes with receptors in your brain from receiving the signal that you are full. So, by reducing the amount of insulin secretion, you improve your brain's capacity of receiving the satiety signal. If you google "rank list of insulinogenic foods" you will see which foods that are highly insulinogenic, and ones that are least so.
Avatar n tn pylori bacteria. Typical symptom is early satiety and burping (also heartburn and burning stomach) You should have an appointment with GI and breath test for H. pylori. Bacteria are maybe in the transverse colon, which runs just below the lower ribs. Colonic bacteria would cause flatulence.
Avatar f tn functional dyspepsia, which is defined as chronic upper, centered abdominal discomfort or pain excluding the predominant symptom, heartburn. Associated symptoms are early satiety, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, bloating, and anorexia. Of course, there could be a number of other issues related to "IBS" which cannot be addressed by medications, but I don't know a lot about that so, I couldn't tell you.
Avatar n tn A year ago, I saw my family doctor with symptoms of unexplained weight loss, vague abdominal pain, early satiety, etc. A CT scan and follow-up endoscopy came back negative, save for a solitary fundic gland polyp. I had a repeat CT scan last Friday, and there is a large (it's in 14 separate slices of the CT scan) enhancing mass, in the antrum (I think) of my stomach that clearly was NOT there in the March 2008 CT study. It appears bulky with air pockets.
Avatar n tn There are 3 key symptoms that you mentioned that strongly indicate a condition that someone I know has. Early satiety and dull pain in left side of abdomen as well as severe exhaustion/fatigue with deterioration of complaints after physical exertion. This would indicate chronic fatigue and a known cause of chronic fatigue is Nutcracker Syndrome (left renal vein compression). This condition occurs in the upper left abdominal quadrant and can cause early satiety and nausea.
Avatar n tn You will note that for example egg whites are very insulinogenic, while whole egg is much less. Getting the satiety signal in your brain will have a profound effect on satiety, reducing snacking urges and cravings. Recent studies have also shown that sugar lights up same addictive brain centres as does cocaine. Eating foods high in sugar causes lots of dopamine released in an area of the brain called the nucleus accubens.
Avatar n tn 1) my last bout of IBS was off-the-chart painful, and 2) starting around the first of February I began having on-again-off-again early satiety symptoms. In most cases it wasn't so much early satiety, I would eat a normal meal, but afterwards I would have a really full sensation in my stomach... not my abdomen, but definitely my stomach. In addition I started having tightness in my chest which varied in severity... something I've found is common with IBS sufferers....
Avatar f tn I'm 8 weeks along and the only symptoms I'm having are heartburn and fatigue. I haven't experienced nausea or sickness or even bloating. Do some people just develop the symptoms later than others?
Avatar n tn I also no longer have the satiety sensation (satiety is associated with leptin). So if I did have an appetite, I would probably tend to overeat since I do not get that "fullness" feeling.
Avatar f tn In later stages, it usually presents with upper gastro-intestinal symptoms like early satiety, upper abdominal discomfort, vomiting, pain, and weight loss. However, it is possible for stomach cancer to cause other symptoms like diarrhea. All the best, and God Bless!
Avatar f tn Early Satiety Nausea Vomiting Feeling of food passing Extreme "Stabbing" Abdominal Pain "Food Fear" Weight loss Reflux Heartburn I will send you a private message with more info. My friend has a blog that discusses her condition. It took doctors almost 20 years to figure out her condition! Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn As I understand it, Victoza delays gastric emptying thus causing the feeling of fullness and decreased appetite. I actually started on Victoza about 3 months ago. I had to change to Byetta in about 2 weeks (finished Victoza sample and insurance would only pay for Byetta). I developed nausea at the smaller dose of Victoza, and never used the larger dose. The nausea was unchanged with the change of meds.....and I have lost a LOT of weight (29 pounds).
Avatar f tn I'm 9 weeks 5 days and I'm getting heartburn and lower back pain. More an uncomfortable tightness right around my tailbone than pain but yeah. Isn't it too early for these symptoms??
Avatar m tn i had the same symptoms as you for almost 5 years, it turned out that my gallbladder was only functioning at 10%. I had it taken out 6 days ago and have had none of the prior symptoms since. get a hida scan w/cck done.
Avatar f tn Maybe you can drink a lot of water and juice to give a satiety feeling, when you're craving fruits and fruits salad are the best, with some nuts it's perfect:)
